The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I apologsie if this topic has been mentioned before.  But does anyone else like the Simpsons?

What do you like best about them?  Did you like the movie or do you like the Television show better?

I've also done a poll and this time it's multi choice.:)

I'll elaborate.

My favourite character is Lisa Simpson.  She is one of the most interesting and sensible characters there are in Springfield.  She is intelligent and in so many ways I can relate to her.

The television show, is one of my all time favourites.  And yes, I am a Simpson's nerd. Whilst i like all the episodes, I have to say that one of my favourites is Lost our Lisa.  It highlights the relationship with Homer and Lisa. After all Homer doesn't understand Lisa, because she is not like him or Bart.  And Marge does not understand Lisa either.  Also, in a bizarre way my family life (it isn't like the Simpsons but) was slightly comparable in this episode with at the beginning Lisa is promised that they can visit the Isis exhibit but Bart well messes it up for her and has to be taken to hospital.  So, as I mentioned I can relate to Lisa in many ways.

As to the movie, I was disappointed.  I thought there would be so much more to it than a couple of quite tasteless jokes.  Although I suppose it could have been worse...

Any views?

I really like the Simpsons too, especially those episodes which in some way address real issues. Same as you Lisa is the character in the family I could most likely associate with, though she certainly does have her less sanguine moments and is not always able to tolerate whenever someone does not share her idealism.
I did not have a major issue with the movie, but was not overenthusiastic about it either. If they make another one I am going to watch it. If they don't I would not cry my eyes out about it.
