Zaine could hear what was happening, but he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Longtail was indeed alive, but he was grabbing a female flyer by the throat. This doesn't look good. Zaine had no idea who the female flyer was or even if she deserved Longtail threatening to kill her. "Longtail! What the hell is going on?"

Longtail smiled darkly for a moment as he turned to face Zaine and Pearl as she landed next to Cyrix and Hunter. "Most of you wouldn't know who this is or why I have my claws at her throat....but that for the moment is unimportant...all you need to know is that she tried to kill me once before and take control of my herd...and I won't let that happen!!!" cried Longtail as he tightened the grip around the flyers neck.

She however only continued to grin as she asked, "Oh I see you lost some hatchlings...GOOD! The less of your offspring there are, the better the rest of our kind can survive!" She then spat in Longtail's face.

Pearl was about to step forward when she turned to face Kit, Petrie and Twiz.
"Yes, it is official, you are members of our herd...now please, help me do something about this!"

Cyrix stepped forward and placed a hand on Longtails shoulder.
"This isn't the only way...try not to let your anger get the better of you."

"Ok, great, but...I have no idea what that could be" Kit sighed, trying to think up some way to stop the fight, as Cyrix stepped in she hoped he could calm Longtail, if anyone besides Pearl could, it was possible.

"Get ready, we'll tackle and hold her down soon as Longtail turns his attention, so she'll atleast be contained to not cause trouble" Petrie whispered to Twiz, who looked a bit unsure but nodded, "Ok...sure".

Zaine shook his head in disbelief. This isn't right. He can't do this. Zaine had dealt with this kind of anger in the past before, but he was even more surprised with Longtail now. Of all the times he would try to kill somebody, this was the worst time. "Longtail, you are not a murderer. I don't know what she did to you to deserve this, but now is not the time for this. If we stay here we're all going to die. We need to find Littlefoot and come up with a plan to get out of here, but we can't do that with you two up at each other's throats. Now release her before you do something you'll regret!"

Longtail finally broke his gaze from the flyer in front of him and looked at Zaine. He then sighed deeply and let go of his target. "Fine." he said aloud, but he quickly stated something else. "This is to everyone here....if this flyer even so much as breathes the wrong way...I want to know about it. She cannot be trusted."

Cyrix was at least glad that Longtail had backed down from what he was planning.

Dil grinned slyly.
"Of course...although if she is up to no good, I may have to bite her first." she stated with a laugh.

The flyer in front of Longtail just smiled as she replied, "Oh now, now...what fun would it be if your friends kept telling on me...after all...we were close once."

Pearl's eyes had a jealous gleam to them at that moment, but she let it pass as she turned her head. "Hey...I hear voices coming."

Truth be told Ruby. who was walking with Littlefoot and the others in their group stated, "I see everyone, and I'm sure everyone sees us...they are still safe."

Kit meanwhile, along with Petrie and Twiz, caught onto what Pearl said.

"Others?" Kit turned, then gasped, "G-guys it's Littlefoot, at least!" she flapped forward but Petrie got their first, "Ruby! Littlefoot! You ok!" he said, transitioning to poor speech as he still did every now and then when really excited.

OOC: I've lost track of if they knew Littlefoot was alive before...

Littlefoot looked up ahead and smiled. "Ruby I see them too. I can't believe there is still anybody alive." Then Petrie flapped up to them, and the sight of his childhood friend safe and sound excited Littlefoot even more. "Petrie!" He approached him and felt the flyer hug his face. "I'm so glad you're ok." He glanced at Zaine. "Nice going Zaine. I can't believe you found survivors."

Zaine nodded. "Well truth be told your timing is perfect. Longtail was about to kill this.....uh...." He glanced at the female flyer. "Just who are you anyway?"

Ruby glanced around and took stock of who was here, and was indeed glad to see so many others had survived this horrible disaster. She then looked over to the flyer that Zaine had mentioned and she also noted that Pearl seemed to be on edge about this other flyer.

Dil turned to face Greg.
"Not yet son. But I'm sure we'll find some kind of food around here."

The female flyer turned to Zaine and giggled.
"You're a cute one...for a longneck." she said with a sly smile. "By the way you can just call me Sweetie."

Longtail scoffed and replied, "I'll just keep calling you crazy."

As the flyer said her name, Twiz and Petrie immediately glanced to each other. Knowing what her cousins were thinking, Kit gave something between a frown and a smile, "Boys, shut up" she said before they could say anything.

Cyrix turned and noticed Myra, Rory, Rita and Chomper come into view.
"Well its nice to see you all again. And even better you all survived. Tell me have been in the Mysterious Beyond at all?"

Littlefoot couldn't help but laugh a little at Sweetie's comment towards Zaine. "Way to go Zaine. Somebody has their eyes on you."

Zaine was mostly startled by Sweetie's reply, but he quickly glared at Littlefoot. "Now isn't the time for this Littlefoot. We need to think of something now that we found all these survivors."

Littlefoot nodded. "You're right, but don't worry because I've already thought of something. When we had to leave the Great Valley last time we took refuge at a place somewhat near the Big Water. It's large enough to hold all of us and it certainly has enough food and fresh water for us to survive for a while. I bet we can find it."

Zaine smiled. "Sounds like a plan to me. What do you think Longtail?"

Longtail still wary of Sweetie's intentions didn't remove his claws from her neck, but he did turn to face his friends as he spoke. "That's probably a very good idea, and with the rest of my herd we can scout ahead to make sure we're going the right way."

Sweetie still had her sly smile on her face.
"I'll bet another herd has already found that place of yours. Or it may not even be there anymore...after all...that flying rock may have destroyed the land for miles around...but I'm not one to tell you what to do." she said with another dark grin.

Ruby stepped forward.
"We need to stay happy, or else we won't be happy." she said with as she clapped her hands together.

Cyrix sighed at Chompers response.
"Thats not good....we may be facing a bigger problem than I thought..."

Dil asked aloud, "What do you mean Cyrix?"

Cyrix turned and spoke up.
"With all of us here...after we leave we are going to be one of the LAST living herds quite possibly in our entire world! That is going to attract every single sharptooth, fastbitter and flying sharptooth in the entire Mysterious Beyond...we'll be in danger with every single step!"

Hunter cleared her throat and sighed.
"That's not good."

At Cyrix's statement, Kit turned and found they now had another very real problem "Petrie...Petrie don't faint on me!" Kit reached out and steadied her cousin as Petrie did seem to be about to either freak out of faint at the prospect of every sharptooth in the world hunting them!

"I, I'm sure Cyrix is just exaggerating". She wasn't and knew he wasn't, but whatever kept Petrie conscious right now was what she was going for. Luckily all this focusing on Petrie kept her own worries at bay.

Zaine glared at Sweetie. "If you haven't noticed already we can do without your pessimistic opinion."

"Zaine that's enough," Littlefoot commented. "Like it or not we are all stuck together. We all need to work together if we are going to stay alive." He then glanced over at Cyrix. "If we're lucky all the sharpteeth died as well. If not then we'll have to be very careful. At this point we have no other option."

"Besides," Zaine added. "We can't be sure if somebody's found that other spot unless we try. We are going to get very far staying here now aren't we?"

Littlefoot shook his head. "Unfortunately no. We will all certainly die if we stay here."

Longtail gave a smile.
"So we're all agreed...we have to leave the valley. But when should we go? There could be more survivors..."

Cyrix sighed heavily as he replied, "I'm afraid we can't stay here much longer....the smoke in the air is making it hard to breath, and we need air to breath."

Hunter looked around and asked "Where is the closest exit...after all we are in the exact center of the valley."

Sweetie despite her current position of still being held by her neck she looked over and smiled at Zaine. He really was rather cute...and she wasn't afraid to admit it to herself.

"An exit we'd all fit through is what's difficult..." Kit agreed, trying to think back all throughout their childhood of the exits they used and which were now going to be any help at all with full grown longnecks.

"I guess if worse came to worse and we had to just break down the rock opening...", she hated the very thought of purposefully destroying the barrier that had kept sharpteeth out all these years, even if now it was only a symbolic and sentimental thing.
