"We're okay, but we could not find more survivors," said Spike.

"Need help?" asked Aurelia.

"It looks like they need help with this wall, yep yep yep," said Ducky.

"Are you feeling well enough to help?" asked Renn as he rested his left hand on Ducky's right shoulder.

"Yes, I do. We are all in this together, and we will survive only if we work together, yep yep yep," Ducky replied.

"Okay, then. Let's do this thing," said Renn as he eyed the massive rock wall.

(OOC: I've sort of lost track of who knows who's alive...but going with it...)

Of course Petrie was overjoyed to find Ducky and Spike alive as well, yet he could also tell at a glance Ducky was down about something, it was just one of those things, growing up they'd all ways been so close that Petrie could many times just tell somehow when her moods changed.

So as they made their way over, he simple landed near her, put a wing on her shoulder and let his smile convey the rest, "Hey".

Kit smiled to herself with all this good amongst the bad, yet didn't want to be annoying with pointing it out yet again, it almost sounded like she wasn't appreciating the seriousness of the bad if she said it too much.

"Ok guys. Let's head over to the Great Wall," Littlefoot finally said. "They need our help moving those boulders out of the way." With that he started walking towards the wall. He was more happy to see Ducky and Spike ok, and he was glad Aurelia and Renn were safe as well.

Zaine noticed Renn and Aurelia started pushing on rocks next to him. "Glad you guys are here. We could use all the help we can get."

Ruby fell into step behind Littlefoot and the others as they began to walk over towards the Great wall. She then spoke up. "What if we can't break down the great wall? How will we get out then?"

Pearl nudged her hatchlings and they immediately began to flap their wings using the flying skills they'd learned recently. But as Pearl turned to her mate, she noticed something was wrong...

Hunter sniffed the air for a moment and then gave a startled gasp as she realized something. "LITTLEFOOT! We need to be careful about which part of the wall we open!" she shouted aloud.

It was at that same moment Longtail flapped his wings and took to the air with a grim look of determination and anger on his face as he flew towards the Great Wall as fast as he possibly could.

Cyrix watched his nephew go and sighed.
"This...just won't end well." he commented to himself.

Sweetie pushed several rocks out of the way and watched them fall. As she looked up to push another boulder, she screamed in fear as she was pounced on by a fast biter and pulled out of the air and landed roughly on the ground. "ZAINE HELP ME!" she cried.

The moment Zaine heard his name he spun his head towards Sweetie. The fast biter had her pinned to the ground hard and would most certainly kill her if he didn't do something to help. "Hey domehead!" he yelled. "Leave her alone!" With that he charged towards the fast biter and whipped him with his tail, forcing him off the flyer. He then approached him and body slammed him into the Great Wall. He looked down at Sweetie. "Get behind me Sweetie."

Littlefoot should have known something was going to happen, but unfortunately Hunter's warning came too late. After Zaine knocked the fast biter off of Sweetie he glanced around. "Everybody get in close! Stay close together!" He noticed Zaine was protecting Sweetie, so he glanced at Ruby. "Ruby look after Ducky and Petrie!" Then to Kitt and Pearl. "Kitt and Pearl, keep the young ones close to you!" He then turned to Spike, Aurelia, and Renn. "You three help Ruby." He though he had everybody accounted for, but then he looked at Cyrix. "Cyrix, where's Longtail?"

Zaine glanced up and saw Longtail bolting for the wall. "Longtail! Don't go!"

Littlefoot also saw the flyer heading over that direction. "Longtail get back here! There could be more!"

Greg, Rory, and Myra sniffed the air as well. "What are we sniffing for?" Myra asked Hunter.

Petrie frowned a bit, "I...I don't need protecting, I can he-" he began to try and argue. From where she was making sure the little one's were all in a group and safe (hard to do with Flip clinging to her like he was, but still) Kit turned enough to call back, "You are helping, if they get to us here we're gonna all need to act as a bunch to detour them", she was surprised such calm words could come at a time like this, as the back of her mind told her how desperate the fast biters would be.

"What is going on?!" asked Ducky as she jumped up. Her back was turned to the wall. As she turned to face where the commotion was coming from, she froze in fear as she watched a fastbiter that had managed to dodge the others charging right at her!

"Ducky! Run!" Spike shouted from where he stood, but it was useless as Ducky was paralyzed by her fear.

"Ducky! Get out of there!" Renn screamed. Something finally clicked in Ducky's mind, for she whipped around and began to speed in the direction of Aurelia, Spike, and Renn.

"C'mon, Ducky! Lead him here so we can kick his tail!" Aurelia shouted. Ducky continued as instructed. She was doing good, but then she suddenly tripped fell. She hit the ground hard, and did not move.

"We're comin', Ducky!" Aurelia screamed, but Renn was much faster. "Renn! What are ya doin'?! You're an idiot if ya think you'll take him down yourself!" She and Spike sped off after Renn in hopes of saving his hide, along with the others. Meanwhile, the fastbiter leaped onto Ducky's unconscious form. He licked his chops and got ready to bite down. CRACK!

"Leave her alone, you rockhead!" Renn shouted as he socked the fastbiter one in the jaw. The fastbiter shook his head and snarled at Renn. BAM! Renn knocked the fastbiter upside the head with his fist, causing the fastbiter to fall down.

"Haha! That'll wipe that look off your ugly face!" Renn taunted. Suddenly, the fastbiter whipped his tail around and knocked Renn flat on his back. Renn was seeing stars, but his mind sharpened and his fear intensified when the fastbiter jumped on him and grabbed Renn's neck in his jaws. Just as the fastbiter was about to deliver his kind's notorious death bite, a tail with four huge spikes struck the fastbiter, causing him to go airborne while screeching in pain.

"You okay, Renn?" askd Spike as he helped Renn stand up.

"Uh, I guess so. Thanks, bud. Is Ducky...?"

"I'm not sure. Aurelia's protecting her," replied Spike before they both turned to Aurelia and Ducky, who was still knocked out. The fastbiter had evidently not learned his lesson yet, and was back for another attempt at a meal. Aurelia was standing over Ducky while using her horns to protect them both.

"C'mon! We've gotta help them!" Renn cried out as the two quickly headed over to Aurelia and Ducky. Just when they were almost there, they watched in horror as the fastbiter charged at Aurelia. CRUNCH! The fastbiter cried out as he was skewered by Aurelia's right brow horn. His spine crunched in a loud and disgusting manner when the horn traveled through him. The fastbiter tried to free himself of the horn, and died a painful death while trying to free himself. Once she knew the fastbiter was dead, Aurelia lowered her head to the ground, brought her right front paw up, and pulled the dead fastbiter off of her horn. Blood rushed out of the corpse as it hit the ground.

"Ugh! I hate it when I have to do that. So nasty," Aurelia gagged as she noticed her horn and face were bloody. She then looked at Ducky, who had not come back around yet.

"Can the two of ya lift her onto my back? I'll get her to safety," instructed Aurelia. The two males did as told, and the group began to head to a place to hide Ducky from any other fastbiters.

Ruby ran over to where Ducky still laid on the ground and asked Aurelia, "I can help you lift her onto your back." She then gently grabbed Ducky's tail and legs.

Pearl was beside Kit and being sure to keep a sharp eye on the hatchlings, knowing her own two would be likely to cling to her as well. "Don't worry little ones just stay with us and you'll be okay." she whispered to the hatchlings hoping to keep them calm.

Sweetie was terrified beyond anything she'd felt before even after Zaine had knocked the fastbiter off of her she was still on her back in shock. She then noticed that the others from the valley had arrived and seemed to be dealing with the other fastbiters nearby...but she also saw Longtail flying over the valley wall. And that confused her. Everything she'd heard about Longtail said he stayed to help those he cared about, but here he was abandoning them.

Hunter looked up at the wall and said to Rory, Myra, and Greg as she replied, "We're looking for a way out of this valley that doesn't include fighting through a small group of sharpteeth."

However as Cyrix looked back to Littlefoot he cringed as several large and loud roars and screeches came from the other side of the wall where Longtail had flown over, with the roars lasting for several minutes and almost all at once ended and a dense and almost nerve racking silence filled the air with still no sign of Longtail.

Kit struggled to keep the hatchlings calm as well, while she felt worried and helpless herself, but she didn't show it.

When Ducky had gone down, Petrie hadn't know what to do, then Renn rushed over to help, which the flyer was grateful for, and then he spotted the three fast biters, of others, rushing back towards the swimmers.

It was almost like that sharptooth back when they were making their way to the Valley as hatchlings, Petrie had no idea how he did it, but he steeled himself and dove down straight for the three fast biters and a short time later they were all knocked out cold on the floor...

He sort of recalled punching and pecking them out, but still couldn't believe he'd done it. He hardly thought on it though, as he flapped over to where Ducky was as well.

"Y-yeah, any help I can provide too" he felt even more helpless by this being all he could think to say in addition to Ruby's statement.

Littlefoot looked around, but there didn't seem to be any fast biters coming after them. He was more concerned about what had happened to Longtail. He heard the roars and screeches from the other side of the wall, but there was no sign of the flyer. "Longtail? Can you hear me?"

Zaine however was not in the mood for waiting for a response. He knew he had to check if his friend was ok and fast. He hesitated but then looked down at Sweetie. "Stay with Littlefoot. I'll be back." He then turned and approached the wall. Zaine managed to knock away some more rocks until there was a hole just big enough for him to squeeze through. He forced himself to the other side and frantically looked around. "Longtail! Longtail! Where are you?"

Once Ducky was on Aurelia's back, she headed over to a rock pile that was big enough to hide Ducky and at least a couple of smaller dinosaurs from the view of the fastbiters.

"Ducky will be okay! We need ya to keep on fightin'!" she told Petrie just before she had Spike, Renn, and Ruby lower Ducky to the ground.

"Is she still okay?!" Aurelia asked Renn. Renn checked Ducky for a pulse and breathing, and got a positive on both. He nodded in response.

"Good! Be right back!" Aurelia replied before she sped off to fight the fastbiters. She managed to catch one by surprise and stomp it to death. The sickening sound of crunching bones rang out through the air. When the others looked at what was left of the fastbiter, all that remained had been pulverized.

"Damn! It would suck to be that fastbiter!" Renn gasped as he continued to watch over Ducky.

"They need me out there, too!" Spike shouted before he charged back into the battle, using his tail to knock down or skewer fastbiters. Renn was peeking from the side of the rock pile, watching the bloody battle, when he heard a weak, familiar voice.

"What...in the world...happened?" he heard Ducky ask weakly. Renn gasped in joy as he turned his attention back to Ducky.

"You tripped and fell down while running from a fastbiter," Renn replied as he helped Ducky sit up. "Are you injured?"

"No. I am just in a daze, yep yep yep," said Ducky as she smiled at Renn. Renn smiled back as he embraced her.

"What is going on?" asked Ducky as she got up. She was wobbly, so Renn helped her. When she peeked out at the scene of the battle, she had to hold back a scream of bloody murder. She was beyond surprised at the carnage she was witnessing. Just then, she thought she heard Renn say something.

"Say what?" she asked as she looked back at him. THUD! She quickly returned her glance to the battle, and instead was facing a fastbiter.

"AHHHH!" she shrieked as she threw a punch. CRACK!

"Ow!" she cried out as she shook her right hand in pain. Just then, she saw the fastbiter was spitting out teeth and blood.

"Sheesh! Remind me to never get on your bad side, sweetie!" said Renn as he picked up a large rock in both hands. "Excuse me for a little bit." He then headed over to the fastbiter, and knocked it very hard with his tail. The fastbiter fell down easily, and he pinned it by the neck with his right foot so the fastbiter could not escape.

"Go join the rest of your pals!' Renn cried out just before he brought the rock down very hard on the fastbiter's head. He repeated the motion several times until the fastbiter's skull was completely smashed in and it did not move anymore. Once he was done, he returned behind the rock pile and sat down with Ducky while he gently rubbed her sore hand with his hands.

Petrie hesitated just a small bit, but knew Aurelia was right. He flapped over once more towards the fight to help out and as he did so he spotted Twiz darting in and out leading some fast biters over to follow him frantic moves and away from some of the others.

"Oh yeah, he'll need help" Petrie all but sighed. "Twiz, what are you doing?" he called.

"Distraction" came Twiz' answer. After the amount of fast biters already killed, Petrie had lost count but had a feeling this could be the last wave...or not. Eitherway he hoped so as he flew over to help.

Flip was still scared to death, but as he peeked out and saw his father and uncle fighting the fast biters, he decided he wanted to help and be as brave as them even now. "Oh, help, help" Flip said, but not in calling for it more in offering it as he tried to hobble off.

"Oh no you don't!" Kit scooped him up, "you stay right here where we know you're safe".

Several of the fastbiters turned and began to run from the attacking valley dinosaurs figuring they'd suffered enough of a fight.

Cyrix stepped forward as he watched the sharpteeth flee the fight, and gave a sigh of relief. "It seems they've given up...now we can start to leave the valley ourselves."

Hunter looked over at Greg, and then smacked herself with her right forepaw.
"Greg you are a genius! Never let anyone tell you different!" She then ran up to Littlefoot and said, "Greg just had a great idea...is there a water way big enough for us all to walk or swim through?!"

Dil reached over and licked Greg across the snout.
"You really do take after your mother." she said with a warm smile.

Pearl reached out and helped Kit keep her hatchling safe.
"He seems to take after his father...and uncle apparently." She tried to smile as she too noticed that the fastbiters and sickleclaws were leaving.

However on the other side of the wall Longtail was standing over the corpses of at least a dozen fastbiters, and sickleclaws with blood dripping off his body and beak. His scales were jet black and his irises were blood red and glowing like the night circle.
As he turned to face Zaine all he did was smile a sadistic grin while he spoke in a dark and evil tone. "Glad to see you made it....my brother...tell the others it will be safe in a moment...once the rest of these...creatures are dealt with."

As the fast biters left, Petrie and Twiz both breathed a sigh of relief. "An attack before we've even left the Valley as a group" Twiz sighed, thinking this could only mean more trouble.

"Hey, you sound like Azure's getting to you" Petrie kidded a bit, "we already know we can't count the amount of stuff we've made it through 'as a Valley' all along, if any groups got good luck...".

"Yes, unfortunately I don't know if that's a good or bad thing" Kit smiled.

Littlefoot looked around to make sure everybody was ok. The fast biters had all left by now which was good, but the fact they even attacked in the first place was bad. "Something tells me this isn't going to be an easy journey you guys, but now that the wall is open if we stay here we will die. We have no choice but to continue to our destination." He then turned to Sweetie who was still on the ground. "Are you ok Sweetie? That fast biter jumped on you pretty hard.

Meanwhile, Zaine was having a hard time figuring out how Longtail's dark side came out already, but he knew it meant nothing but bad news. I won't let you do this Longtail. Not again. Before Longtail could attack the fleeing fast biters, Zaine stepped in front of him and blocked his path. "Longtail let them go. We've won the battle, and you've killed enough. Remember what happened last time you let your anger and blood thirst control you? For your sake you have to calm down. What would your uncle say if he saw you like this now? I know how much you hate them but you can't let your emotions overpower you. You are stronger than that, and we need you here with us now more than ever." Zaine glanced back as the fast biters were a good distance away, and then he looked back at the flyer. "All these years you and I have been like brothers. You have looked out for and been there for me always. Now I'm here for you. Trust me like you always have."

Longtail looked up at Zaine as he blocked his path...and laughed aloud.
"My brother Zaine...what makes you think I'm not in control...I know exactly what I'm doing...I just needed..an edge to beat my foes that is all. And now that the current danger is passed..." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath and as he exhaled his scale colors changed back to their normal colored sky blue hue. "...we can continue on our way. Are we sure the others are safe?" he asked Zaine as he flapped his wings and landed on Zaine's back.
He then laughed nervously as he said, " I could use a bath too."

Cyrix nodded as he stepped up beside Hunter.
"Littlefoot is right, there is a hole in the wall now, and finding a water way would take too much time, we need to leave as soon as possible."

Sweetie looked up at Littlefoot and rose to her feet and sighed.
"Yes I'm okay. I need to thank Zaine for rescuing me." She said aloud.

Pearl smiled brightly as she looked around and asked, "Are Ducky Renn, and Aurelia okay?" hoping she'd get good news.

Dil walked forward and replied, "Then what are we waitin' for, let's get going!" she then took the lead walking up towards the hole in the Great Wall, knowing full well that this journey was going to be long and difficult.
