Cyrix looked over to Rhett with a calm mask over his face. This whole situation had hardened something inside him and he was only now just admitting it to himself, with so much death and loss he figured it was bound to happen but he was always so upbeat and looking for ways to make others around him see the brighter side of things, but at this moment, in this time, there was nothing to be bright about...even the sky seemed to agree as it only got darker the longer they were all out here. "I hope we're doing the right thing." he commented aloud without realizing it.

Sweetie blinked in shock for a moment. "You...were close to another flyer? Was...was she kind and caring?" Her eyes seemed to focus as she looked at Zaine "Do you remember her name, because if she was as close as you say you two were, then she was truly lucky. You're quite a catch and I'm lucky to have just met you let alone bonded with you."

Pearl awoke when she heard Rhett speaking.
"Oh more survivors...this is a good day for us indeed." She then looked up at Littlefoot and asked, "Who's your friend?"

(Hey everybody! I'm terribly sorry for just ditching this like that :unsure: . This thread had gone silent for a while so I thought it had died out and I stopped checking up on it. Then of course I've been gone awhile as I fully adjusted to my first semester. I'm back now and you'll have to bear with me on a little idea of mine to try and reinsert cera and ali into the story)

"Littlefoot!" Ali called out as she continued to follow Cera, visibly tired from walking.

"Quite yelling like that!" Cera growled back, "Obviously there is nobody around to hear us". The three horn looked over to her half-sister, making sure she was okay. Tricia was also visibly exhausted, walking with her eyes closed most the time in a half asleep state. Cera wasn't sure how they had gotten separated from the other, but they did. And they had been searching ever since.

Littlefoot nodded. "Nobody has objected yet. Besides, we can't stop now or we'll never survive." Just then Littlefoot caught a sound he never thought he would hear. It was faint at first, but it continued to get louder and louder. Is that...?. He turned his head around towards the source of the sound. There were two faint images in the distance, and they were approaching the group. "There's two dinosaurs up ahead!" Littlefoot called out. "More survivors!" He stepped forward a couple times and squinted his eyes to get a better view. When he realized who they were he gasped. Please let it be them. "Cera! Ali!" he called out.

Zaine smiled. "Thanks. Her name was Soar. She was my age, probably would be about the same size as you if she were still here. I met her after my herd died during an earthshake. We stuck with each other and protected each other from the dangers of the world around us. We were our own little herd." He hesitated before continuing, and a small tear trickled down his cheek. "I was devastated when she died. I felt like my heart had been torn out of my body. I almost considered killing myself to be with her, but instead I found my way to the Great Valley."

Pearl was overjoyed to see Cera and Tricia alive after all this. She gently flapped her wings and flew over to Ali and Cera. "Are you three alright?! Where have you been?!" she asked in shivering voice as she checked Ali, Cera and Tricia for any wounds.

Cyrix had no choice but to smile as he saw and heard the relief and joy in Littlefoots voice. "More good news I see." he commented as he stepped closer to Littlefoot.

Sweetie shed a tear of her own as she flapped up to Zaine and licked the tear from his face. "I'm sorry you lost someone who helped you and kept you save...but I can keep you safe too...if you want me too. I care about you, and it doesn't matter who knows."

"It is our friends, yep yep yep!" Ducky cried out as she ran over to Cera, Tricia, and Ali.

"What in the world happened to you guys?!" Renn asked as he joined Ducky.

"Did you run into the fastbiter herd we encountered?!" Spike asked as he also went over to greet his friends.

"I hope not, 'cuz that was one nasty group o' fastbiters we encountered!" Aurelia said as she caught up with the others. "Are any of y'all hurt?" she asked as she looked over the trio as Pearl did.

Cera quietly watched the dead horizon in front of her as Ali continued to yell, mostly ignoring it at this point. Suddenly fainter voice reached the three horn's ears. "Ali, quiet!" Cera snapped.

"You know what Cer-"

"SHUT UP FOR ONE SECOND!" Cera quickly cut Ali off. She strained her ears and before long Cera heard the unmistakble voice of her greatest childhood friend. "Littlefoot!" she yelled.

Ali quickly turned in the direction of Littlefoot's voice once Cera confirmed it was him. She ran up to the longneck and gave him a more-then-friendly nuzzle, quickly withdrawing her head in embarrassment from what she had just done.

Tricia followed Ali and her sister to meet with their old friends. Listing on as Cera told them that they had somehow gotten lost and been searching ever since.

Littlefoot smiled as he felt the warmth of Ali's cheek against his. When she withdrew he kind of blushed a little too, but then shook it off. "I'm so glad you're safe Ali. When Rhett found us but you weren't with him I.... I didn't know what I was going to do." He then glanced at Cera and gave her a friendly nuzzle. "I'm glad your safe too. Our group wouldn't have been the same without our stubborn threehorn." He laughed a little because he knew she was probably going to react to this.

Zaine looked into Sweetie's eyes. "I....... Yes I........" He then shook his head. "No. I can't. I just can't. Not again. I don't want to see what happened to her happened to you." He closed his eyes and bowed his head. "Why is this so confusing for me? I care about you too. I don't want to see you get hurt or die." He then opened his eyes and looked back at her. "But my heart says yes. I care about you enough to want to protect you, to make sure nothing happens to you."

Pearl continued to smile at the warm reunion between Littlefoot and Ali. She then laughed at what was sure to be a rather harsh reaction from Cera. "This should be fun." she said at a whisper.

Sweetie gave a happy and surprised gasp at hearing Zaine return her feelings, and in a celebratory fashion she once more gently licked the longnecks face and sighed. "I...I'm glad your heart....is giving our feelings a chance." She then nuzzled against his head as she landed and continued to smile blissfully.

Cyrix was still worried about everything everyone had gone through. Even with more survivors to their group, this was still a very bad situation and there was no chance that it would get any better. "I know you all are happy now," he said loud enough to break the joyful conversation "...but we need to keep moving, we can't stand around unless you all want another sharptooth attack."

Seeing Littlefoot blush only made Ali more embarrassed, and she turned her head away form the long neck to hide it.

"Watch it flathead, this stubborn three horn has a very short temper" Cera said with a scowl. On the outside it often seemed the two hated each other, but that was far from the truth.

Tricia had just listened to Cera's remark when Cyrix made his announcement. "Aww, do we have to? I"m so tired" she whimpered in response.

Littlefoot laughed. "You haven't changed a bit. It's good to see you are alive." Littlefoot overheard Cyrix's suggestion and looked at the group. He wasn't sure if he was ready to move out, but at the risk of another sharpteeth attack he knew they had to leave eventually. "You're right Cyrix. We have to keep moving. Does anybody have an objection to leaving soon?"

Zaine smiled as Sweetie nuzzled up against him. "Thank you Sweetie," he whispered. He then glanced at Littlefoot. "If we have to leave then we have to leave. Let's get out of here before more sharpteeth arrive." He then noticed Longtail sleeping peacefully and he sighed. I don't know how Longtail is going to take this bond between me and Sweetie. I just don't want it to affect our friendship. He shook his head a bit and smiled a bit. We'll worry about that later. Sleep peacefully Longtail. You deserve it.

Chomper walked to Rory, Rita, and Myra, as he asked his parents to keep a look out for any potential threats once they started moving again.

Pearl then looked to the sky after laughing at Cera's remark as she knew she would. She then stretched her wings being careful not to wake Longtail by accident and flew up to join Kit, Petrie and Twiz. "How are you three doing up here?" she asked gently hoping she hadn't interrupted anything important they were discussing.

Sweetie continued to sit on Zaines head with a joyful smile on her beak. But one question still bugged her as she looked down and asked, "So...Zaine if you happen to care so much for me, then why do you seem so...fearful? Are you worried about Longtail finding out?"

Cyrix nodded his head as he heard the others agree with him.
"Alright." he then looked over to Tricia and sighed gently as he walked over to her and patted her on the head as he replied, "I am sorry, but I can assure you when nighttime comes we'll be able to stop and rest."

Both Terri and Dein nodded and were a bit relaxed, but continued to play look out for the rest of the herd.

Ruby however stepped over to Ducky and asked, "I know it is for our protection, but with all this protection I feel rather....vulnerable." she said with a guilty tone in her voice.

Ducky looked at Ruby and replied, "I do not like having all of this protection either, but it is better than having none at all, yep yep yep." At the same time, Aurelia glanced down at Tricia. "I know you're tired, sweetheart, but Cyrix is right. We were just attacked by sharpteeth, and if we don't keep movin', we could be attacked again." Spike and Renn quietly nodded in agreement.

Zaine glanced at Sweetie. "Well, yeah I guess. I know you and Longtail had your differences in your past, and I don't want to get in the way of that. I care for you, but I also care for Longtail. We've been through so much together and I don't want to lose our friendship. But I still want to care about you. I'm just," he hesitated before continuing, "I'm just really confused right now."

Cyrix was going to step forward and continue walking, when he suddenly felt an overwhelming desire to sleep and rest. He now realized he simply couldn't' keep his eyes open much longer and he turned to Littlefoot with an embarrassed grin as he commented, "Excuse me, but I would like to ask if we can simply rest of the night....after all we all have had a very long and tiring day, and to make others walk when they want to rest would be wrong." He paused for a moment as he swayed on his feet and continued. "We can always post a guard to watch over the herd as we sleep."

Sweetie nodded at Zaine in understanding.
"I know you and Longtail are friends, even brothers in a way, so if...Longtail doesn't take the news of our feelings well then...I...I guess I'll just leave." she commented with a sad sigh.

Ruby yawned unexpectedly as she too felt the effects of all the days events. "Perhaps sleeping will help us feel better." she said through two more yawns.

Littlefoot was at first sympathetic with Cyrix's request. They had been traveling a while, so to make everybody continue walking would be a bad mistake. However, when Cyrix grinned it raised some concern. Is he planning something while everybody's asleep? Does this have anything to do with his request earlier about Longtail's hatchlings? I'll need to keep an eye out on him tonight. "Sure," Littlefoot hesitantly agreed. "We'll stay here for tonight. The water supply will sustain us while we rest."

Zaine shook his head after Sweetie's thought. "That's the one thing I don't want you to do, ever. Longtail and I may not see eye to eye on you, but no matter what happens I don't want you to leave. This herd will protect you from whatever comes after us, I promise. You will always be safe here whether you're with me or..." At that point Zaine stopped his sentence. He knew what he was saying, but it seemed too hard for him to understand. What would happen if he did it? If Longtail doesn't wish for me and Sweetie to care for each other, maybe I will have too leave instead. Cyrix can take care of Longtail, and Littlefoot can watch over Sweetie. It would be best for Longtail.

Spike yawned, and the others in his group yawned as well.

"I agree that it is best we stop for the night," Spike said in a worn-out tone.

"I agree. I think it was the big fight that wore us out," Renn added.
