Luna looked at Hunter some more "It's cause, well....others do that, cause they think I'm stupid for not being more careful....tell me off and what have you....and I don't mean to make them angry at me...."

She placed a hand to her stomach as it growled a bit as well. She was indeed, rather hungry too, as she had not eaten anything in quiet some time as she had let Hunter and the others eat the sweet bubbles themselves.

Hunter sighed at hearing how others would talk to her after being injured. She then smiled again as they reached the edge of the pond. "Luna. I know you try your hardest at everything you do, and as long as you admit that you made an accident and try to fix it...then that's all that matters. I can assure you that no one in this herd will yell at you for doing the right thing when the time comes." She said with compassion in her voice. She then looked down at the water and motioned for Luna to start cleaning the wound.

Cyrix finally decided to let his nephew go and took several steps back still being wary in case he lashed out again.

Pearl then stepped closer to her mate and gently helped him to his feet and looked him in the eyes. For many tense moments neither of them spoke but then Pearl embraced Longtail in a hug, all her emotions over the loss of Zaine now showing themselves she began to cry silently as she held onto Longtail.

Longtail felt his mate embrace him, and for the briefest of moments, a smile formed on his beak as he watched her cry. He then hugged her tighter as he turned around to face his friends. He wanted to say something...anything to let them know he at least was no longer a threat to them...but he just couldn't find the words and hoped that everyone in time would come to see him as someone to be trusted.

Cyrix then looked up at Littlefoot and Cera and asked quietly.
"I know my nephew, and those emotional outbursts of his are no where near over...but for now he seems to be...stable. I would still keep a close eye on him. But for now...we really should get moving before anything else happens."

Luna did just that, approaching the edge of the water and placed her wound into the water and did her best to clean it, granted she had no real idea on how to clean her wound properly, since whenever she would get hurt, she would instead, leave it be instead of actually tending to it.

She decided to remain quiet for the time being after hearing what Hunter had just told her, not too sure on if she should actually believe what Hunter was telling her or not, as she wasn't sure if Hunter was only saying that to make her feel better, or if it was actually true.

Littlefoot nodded. "I agree. Besides, the longer we stay in one place, the more vulnerable we make ourselves. I don't think any other sharpteeth are around, but we can't risk another group coming." He then approached Hunter who had been helping Luna out. "Hunter, I think it might be best if Luna sticks with you. You two seem to have hit it off well, so she'll feel much safer around you."

Dil along with Dein and Terri awoke slowly unaware of what happened, but could still feel the tension in the air.

"Greg dear...what's happened?" Dil asked her son.

Terri and Dein exchanged glances and looked worried at the silence outside the cave.
"I've got a bad feeling about the answer." Muttered Dein with a sigh.

Hunter smiled. "of course Littlefoot. I will stay with Luna and make sure she's alright...what about Longtail?" she asked quietly with concern in her voice.

Cyrix looked around at the others and sighed silently praying that the rest of them would come through this alright.

Luna wasn't really paying much attention to what she was doing as she continued to wash her wound some more as her stomach growed some more as well as she sighed and spoke to herself "I wish there was something to eat...." she glanced over to Hunter and Littlefoot, giving off a quick little smile as they were still talking to each other. She of course, still had doubt and all that in her, still believing that it was partly her fault with what had happened.

She decided to move away quietly in order to find some food for herself, hoping that she would be back before anyone would notice that she had vanished for a few minutes at the very least.

Once she was away from the two of them, she begun to search around in the nearby bushes for sweet bubbles in particular, the only food she could really eat apart from meat in general. She could not eat the green food either, since to her, it was just plain old disgusting.

As the foursome stood around while waiting for Littlefoot and Cyrix to make a decision, Renn suddenly felt sharp hunger pangs in his stomach.

"Ow! Damn, I'm so hungry," he groaned.

"I am hungry too, but I am sure we will find food soon, yep yep yep," Ducky agreed as she comforted her mate.

"I'm hungry myself," Spike quietly added.

"Well, hopefully we'll be movin' outta here soon," Aurelia whispered to her group. "We're just becomin' easier targets for sharpteeth as we hang out here."

Littlefoot glanced at Longtail out of the corner of his eye. "Cera and I are going to keep an eye out on him. If he has another outburst like this, we'll be able to take care of him," he whispered back. He looked at the others. "The sooner we leave, the better. Everybody is starting to get hungry."

Cyrix looked up at Littlefoot and pointed out to the wasteland around them. "Then please, lead the way young one."

Hunter sees that luna has stepped away and walks over to her.
"I know you're hungry...many of us are...but try not to think about it. We are about to head out and I'm sure we'll find some food for everyone along the way." she said with a warm smile.

Pearl was still holding Longtail assuring that she wouldn't leave his side until he felt better. "The others are starting to leave...shouldn't we go with them?" she asked quizzically.

Longtail nodded his head in reply his eyes and face still emotionless and blank.
"We will....but I'll be staying at the back when we leave...so no one has to be bothered with me....or my problems."

Dein sighed as Chomper continued to explain what happened.
"We could've helped..." he said with a saddened tone.

Terri shed a single tear for the life they'd lost and nuzzled Chomer."I'm sorry we weren't there to help."

Ruby stepped forward and replied, "Well Littlefoot, where ever you lead we will be sure to follow."

"Yeah, I know, but I hadn't eaten anything since the last time the bright circle was in the sky...I mean, when I gave you the sweet bubbles, I was sort of hungry, but I wanted to just make you happy and let you eat them....." Luna of course, could not but help think of it, especially when her stomach growled again as she grabbed it.

She looked at Hunter once again for a second before looking to the side a little bit "Sorry....I just want to eat something is all....and I can't eat that green food stuff....it's disgusting....I've tried it once before...."

"Say goodbye to my father? I...I don't know....I mean, I want to, but I don't know if I should...." Luna placed her claws together as she looked at them quietly as wasn't the best at deciding things as she wanted to do both things, say goodby to him, but yet, wasn't sure if she should either in case he was still mad at her.

Cyrix looked over to Spike and replied, "There is nothing we can do. As much as I hate it....we'll have to leave him here."

Longtail was still silent, but was keeping an eye on everyone else and didn't feel they trusted him. He looked over to Pearl and sighed without saying a word.

Pearl could only try and comfort her mate as best she could until he came around. "I'm here for you Longtail...just...try to relax...e-everything will be alright." she said with a soft tone of voice.

Dil stepped forward with a rather sheepish although curious quirk on her face as she asked aloud. "I...I know...now especially is not the best time...but...I am hungry...c-can...we sharpteeth....finish Zaines body?"

Despite their hunger even both Dein and Terri were rather shocked that Dil would ask that question to the others, but their stomachs gave them their answers as well as they felt their hunger pains returning.

Ruby looked horrified, but quickly looked away as she didn't want to even think of who was going to answer that question.

Luna looked at everyone else before she walked towards the cave, she had decided to say goodbye to her father. She entered the cave and saw her father standing there.

"You're leaving now?" Drake asked her.

Luna gave off a small nod, but yet, didn't say anything to him.

Drake was still sounding rather stern as he spoke "I still don't think that this is the best desicion you've made in your life....you haven't made many smart desicions, and this one doesn't help the cause"

"See! Even when I chose something, you still don't care in the end, you think it's always wrong, no matter what I do....I just can't make you happy, you're....never happy for me...." Luna finally spoke to her father.

Drake shook his head a little bit "How can I be happy for you when you always make the wrong desicions?"

Luna looked at her claws "I've said I was sorry....many times...."

"But you're never actually sorry if you do the same thing again, talking with leaf eaters for starters, you know what they are like....then other meat eaters, most of whom aren't sophisticated" Drake replied back to her.

"You just don't know that....you never have...." Luna replied back, sighing a bit

Upon hearing Dil's question, Ducky turned away and tried to prevent herself from vomiting. While Renn's attention was drawn to Ducky, Spike and Aurelia simply looked away fearing the worst. They knew it was nature, but that did not mean it wasn't disgusting to leafeaters.

Littlefoot was more or less shocked by Dil's question. He wanted to immediately answer no, but then he thought for a second. They don't eat what we do, and we may never find food for a while. I don't know if Zaine would want this, but if I say no then they might starve. Littlefoot looked at Cyrix. "I don't know what to say. What do you think?"

Cyrix shuddered for a moment before answering.
"They will need their strength to keep protecting this herd...so...against my instincts I'd say let them eat. But for the sake of everyone else, I also believe we should leave now and the sharpteeth that stay behind to feast will have to catch up to us."

Hunter stepped up behind Luna and cleared her throat.
"Drake I understand you only want what's best, but you should be happy for Luna. She's making her own decisions, and even if they seem wrong now, there is no way to know that unless she is allowed to do what she needs to."

Dil hid her smile from the others as she heard Cyrix's answer.
"T-thank you." she said with gratitude in her voice.

Dein turned to Longtail to see how he would react to this idea and he still looked distant and blank almost as if all his emotion had never existed.

Ruby started walking first just so she wouldn't have to watch the other sharpteeth eat Zaine's body. She wasn't sure where she was walking too, but she simply had to keep walking to keep herself from looking back.
