Chomper and his friends, slowly walked up to Zaine's body, as they were hungry as well.

"I'm sorry Zaine..." Chomper apologized, a tear dropping as he took a bite.

Drake eyed the two of them before turning around with a slight snort, not even answering what Hunter had said as he walked deeper into the cave.

Luna on the other hand, was just standing there, feeling rather upset now as a tear rolled down her cheek "I can never make him happy....it's always wrong with what I do...." she looked to Hunter, stepping over to her and gave her a small little nuzzle, wanting some comfort at the very least.

"Oh, dammit I can't watch! Let's get moving along," Renn spoke up as Ducky walked with him. Aurelia and Spike followed in close pursuit as the group joined the other herbivores in walking ahead of the sharpteeth.

Littlefoot adverted his eyes as their sharpteeth companions ate Zaine's body. Please forgive us Zaine. He then noticed Luna trying to talk to her father, but of course Drake did not take it well. Littlefoot walked over to Luna. "Luna, you don't have to do anything for you father any more. As long as you're with us, you follow what you believe, and if you have any doubts then we will be here for you." He then glared at Drake. "All your father can do now is live here alone," he blurted out.

"Yeah, but....I just want others to be happy is all" Luna replied back, sniffling some again as she ignored the fact that she was hungry as well "I don't want anyone to be upset....." but of course, it was still a lost cause, someone was always going to be upset with her, no matter what she would do.

She glanced over at Zaine's body and licked her lips, but only a little bit as she looked away from it as she did not want to lower herself to having to eat another being's body, even if they had been dead, she just could not bring herself to doing that.

Hunter gently nuzzled Luna to show her support, then turned to Littlefoot and asked, "Could you lead the others away from here...I'd rather not let them see us...well eating." She then faced Luna and said, "You have to eat too...I know it's not...well...the best, but you are a sharptooth and need to keep up your strength."

Pearl had stayed with her mate and stayed quiet as she averted her eyes while the sharpteeth fed on Zaine's body.

Longtail however aside from the effort of breathing, was perfectly still not daring to move or even blink. It was as if he was made of stone.

Cyrix was now getting annoyed with Longtail's inaction and seeming lack of emotion...but for now he left his nephew alone while he started getting the others on the right path.

Azure followed Cyrix, making sure Petrie and Twiz were with them, and not being left behind.

Dein and Terri both began to dig into Zaine's body, both feeling a slight pang of regret at eating the younger longneck...but they also knew they needed the energy to keep going.

Dil also began to feast along with the other sharpteeth and made sure Greg got his fair share as well.

"Actually, I'm a fast biter remember, not a sharptooth...." Luna begun, although she knew what Hunter meant anyway as she looked over at Zaine's body once again, but shook her head some more and looked back to Hunter "No, I can't....I'll be fine...really...I'll just find some sweet bubbles" she added on with a bit of a smile as well.

(Hey, sorry for you guys/GVG having to drag my characters along, ok I might go off who's been drug along the most, Twiz and Petrie, and...try to somehow make it back in here, but not promising much).

Petrie sighed, and Twiz turned to him, "Doing ok?" he asked.

"I just...don't know how things are ever going to look bright again after all...this".

Twiz gave his brother-in-law a hug, "Well be ok" he said in a voice that almost sounded like putting on vain hope himself, but he tried to believe it.

Hunter sighed at Luna's words but nodded her head all the same. "Alright if that is what you want Luna. You can still go ahead with the others if you want to so you're not tempted to eat with the rest of us." she said in a comforting voice.

Azure looked to both Petrie and Twiz while replying.
"Everything has to be okay...after all we're a herd...and nothing...not even death can break that bond." She was trying to sound supportive, and positive...but to her, her words sounded hollow and unreal after all they'd been through.

Terri and Dein stopped eating for a moment to check on Chomper.
"Are you alright Chomper...we know this is hard for you." commented Terri with a sympathetic look on her face.

Pearl was now beginning to worry about Longtail...not at the fact he didn't move...but the lack of emotion on his face...or in his eyes...it was almost as if losing Zaine had robbed him of any type of feeling. And finally she simply said out of concern. "Longtail...please...can we move on with the others...i..I don't want to stay here anymore."

Longtail without blinking, or even acknowledging his mate stepped forward and began to walk towards the rest of the group keeping his eyes locked on Zaine's body.

Cyrix who was now towards teh front looked over at Littlefoot and Ruby and asked them both aloud..."What do you two think should be done about Longtail? He's become...rather useless without his emotions."

Littlefoot was almost speechless at Cyrix's comment. "Useless? He just lost his best friend, practically his brother, to sharpteeth! How can you honestly say that about your own nephew?" He knew he was getting angry again, but he tried as hard as he could to resist another outburst. That was the last thing the herd needed was more fighting. He looked back at Longtail and sighed. "I am worried about him though. Zaine's death seemes to have drain him completely. It's almost as if any strand of hope or will to keep living was lost with Zaine." He noticed Sweetie was pretty much in the same emotionless state that Longtail was. "I also worry about Sweetie. She's not taking this well either." He looked back at Cyrix. I don't know what we should do, but somehow we have to remind them that Zaine sacrificed himself so we could survive."

Cyrix looked up at Littlefoot and glared daggers at the longneck as he sighed.
"Littlefoot use your head for just one moment!" he didn't mean to shout, but he had to get his point across any way that he could. "For as long as ANY of us have known Longtail, his emotions have ruled his life. Every action, every decision, every single breath he's taken has had his emotions behind it. They give him the will to fight...and the ability to care and feel loss...but now...he's locked his emotions away and without them he may as well be useless to us except as bait and you know it!"

Luna gave off a small nod back as she started to walk off to catch up with the leaf eaters, yet, kept quiet for the time being. She was indeed rather hungry, but did not say a word about it as she looked to Littlefoot in particular, moving her eyes away, but everytime she did so, she would look back at him once again as she actually licked her lips slightly.

Perhaps she was just simply halucinating, but she wasn't even sure herself as she licked her lips even more, now quite a few feet away from the others that were eating Zaine's body. She had put off eating for too long, flexing her claws slightly as she continued to lick her lips still.

And that's when it happened, she had snapped, crouching down a little bit, into a pounching position before leaping off her feet and bringing her teeth down into Littlefoot's tail with a small growl as well.

Littlefoot shook his head. "I will never use anybody in this herd as bait, especially Longtail. If anybody needs to keep going, it's him. I don't care what he's done with his emotions. Letting him die is not going to help him." No sooner did he finish this sentence did he feel a sharp pain in his tail. He yelled out in pain as he sharply twisted his head back to see Luna biting his tail. "Luna!" Her hunger, it's taking over... "Luna! Stop!" Littlefoot tried shaking her off, but the young sharptooth would not let go. His first instinct was to turn to Hunter. "Hunter!" he yelled.

Luna was thrown off for a second as she growled some and lept at Littlefoot once more. So far, no voices were getting through to her as she seemed to speaking only in meat eaters language now, growls and all. Some ould be able to understand what she was saying, but the leaf eaters most likely, wouldn't "Food....meat....." was what she had growled.

Her eyes were indeed different, they looked almost hollow, the iris of them seemed to had vanished for the time being as she was lost in her attacking of Littlefoot.

"Yeah, I..." Petrie went to answer Azure, when a cry, from Littlefoot, interrupted him. Turning that way he noticed Luna's instincts indeed had seemed to have taken over.

It was odd, but it would have been better had she stayed back with Zaine, not that Petrie thought through any of this at the moment. He just instinctualy, himself, darted forward to his friends aid, yet...even as he flew over, he wasn't sure exactly what he could do since a part of him knew Luna wasn't in her right frame of mind and thus shouldn't be hurt to hard but...then again, something had to be done or Littlefoot...

In the end he went with a peck delivered to try and either stun Luna back and give Littlefoot an escape chance or snap her out of it, or both.

Twiz just watched tensely for if Petrie would need back up in such a bold move.

As Petrie attacked her, she turned around and started to try and bite down onto him next, growling even more still, speaking in meat eaters language again "Food! Meat! Hunger!" that was all that was going through her mind as well as her tail swung around to try and strike Petrie as well, in order to stop him from attack her.

Luna was still growling as so far, nothing seemed to be working to snap her out of her instincts, which seemed to have taken over completely by the looks of things.

Hunter sighed rather loudly as she watched Luna lose her mind from hunger. She stepped over towards Luna and Littlefoot with an almost casual and bored stride. She then reached up, gripping Luna by the nose and dragging her down to the ground and pinning Luna there. She then looked Luna in the eyes and gently whacked her friend on the head with her tail. "SNAP OUT OF IT LUNA!" Hunter cried in an attempt to get Luna to remember who she was.

Longtail even after seeing Luna try to attack Littlefoot still didn't seem to be moved or motivated to interfere at all in the attack. He simply looked away as if to avoid being drawn into the conflict.

Pearl never one to see someone in pain, quickly moved over to Littlefoots aid; asking, "Are you alright?! Luna didn't hurt you too much did she?" she asked in alarm.

Sweetie for seemed to be for her part faring better and worse than Longtail at the moment as she herself appeared to be going through a physical withdrawal-like symptoms. Her scales were pale having almost no color, her body shook like a leaf in the wind, and even her eyes darted back and forth as if the very next thing to step near her would try to kill her.

Cyrix shook his head seeming almost indifferent to the attack Luna had just made.
"Well...that was....unexpected." he muttered aloud before response to Littlefoots last comment. "And I never said he had to die...I am simply stating that Longtail needs to get his emotions in check and then start to use them....and if he has to be smacked around for a few bright circles, then I say it should be done!"

Luna was still growling as she looked to Hunter before getting struck by Hunter's tail, and what was more, she just stood there when she had heard Hunter's voice ring through her mind.

At first, she was just standing there, taking a few deep breaths of air as she was already starting to calm herself down, now realizing what she had done, her facial expresission changing from looking hungry to more scared as she looked over to Littlefoot, stepping back a little bit "No...no....no....I....no...." was all she could say, shaking her head a little bit as well.

She looked back to Hunter, looking at her for a second or so before turning around and actually bolted off for the time being, as she didn't want to hang around them at the moment, especially after what she had just done, tears in her eyes as she was already quiet a while away from the group, slowing down to a bit of a walk. She did not want to do that at all, having to attack someone, and after attacking Littlefoot like that, she just had to run off for the time being.

Hunter gave a rather heavy sigh as she looked back at the others before saying, "I'm going after Luna, the rest of you go on ahead, and I'll make sure she's alright." Hunter then broke out into a flat out run to catch up with Luna and once she did she slowed down to a gentle walk and stepped behind Luna. Hunter then gave a smile as she said, "I really hate to say it......but I told you you should've eaten. You're lucky the other sharpteeth haven't eaten all...of...Zaine yet. We can still get you some food to calm you down if you want it."
