Ramiki stops her. And then Motions over to Vitani who was still watching them. "We can't go until it's safe if we go now Vitani will just tell Kovu and stop us. We've got to do this at the right Persis moment." Ramiki said. When he saw Vitani fall asleep. He smiled. "Now, let's go and find out what's goin on before anyone knows we were gone" Ramiki said leading the way.

"There were two panthers that were sneaking around here, very close to where the cubs were playing," Matsu replied. "I gave chase, but they took different directions to lose me. I was concerned for the cubs."

Ramiki smiled. "Yeah, sneaking off is one of my specialties. Not a specialty I'm really proud of but still a specialty. Come on stick close to me and we can get there and back without getting in trouble. And if by chance we do get in trouble. I'll take the whole wrath of the punishment. I'll just make up a story so I'm the only one punished." Ramiki said.

Hali had to frown as she followed, "Aw gee Ramikik, that doesn't sound fair, I'm in it too so I won't let you take all the blame" she said as she kept close to Ramiki like he'd said.

Ramiki had to smile over at Hali. It wasn't often that Ramiki would make a friend who cared the slightest bit about being fair. Most of the other cub's would have probably sold Ramiki up the river or ratted him out just to avoid getting in to trouble. Hali was such a great friend. He stopped for a second and gave Hali a small hug. "Thanks Hali it really means a lot that you'd do that you are such an awesome friend" Ramiki said starting to lead the way again and making sure that Hali stayed close.

Ramiki had to smile. He was not known for meeting real friends. Normally he sucked at picking friends. But, Hali really was his best friend. And if anyone had to be like a sister to him he was glad it was Hali.

"This shouldn't take long I promise. We'll have fun . It'll be just like our own little adventure" Ramiki said.

"Yeah, and who knows if we do a good job maybe the grown-ups will all be proud" she said. Being new to the pride, the thought was a really uplifting one to her. Sort of like she was pulling her own weight.

Ramiki said he didn't really want to admit it but he was worried he had gone the wrong way . He had nopt seen those panthers in a while. "Don't worry Hali I'm sure we're close" Ramiki said not really knowing for sure if they were or weren't.

Hali wasn't sure if they'd do that great, but Ramiki's idea of leaders did sound sort of nice in thought.

She started feeling a bit unsure herself, though as they got further and further out. "Oh uh yeah I know" Hali said, not wanting to seem like she didn't think Ramiki could do it.

She glanced about trying to see if any of the landscape looked familiar to her, maybe in her wanderings before the pride took her in she'd passed it, but she didn't see anything familiar yet, nor any signs of the panthers.
