Kopa continued fighting onwards, throwing jaguars away from him left and right, he reached the cave enterance were he caught the strong scent of the cubs. ' Ramiki! Hali! Its Me, Kopa!' he called out upon engtering the cave..

a very cold gust of wind suddenly blew the jaguar off of vitani, and she was surrounded by a thick wall of fog. ' Come! Vitani! the voice repeated " follow me, if you wish to see those cubs of yours again!

At hearing Kopa's voice so close, Hali realized that it was them and turned the first of a hopeful smile back to Ramiki, "Come on Ramiki, it is Kopa and Vitani and the others!".

She rushed out, "Oh I'm happy you're here!" he hugged his paw, before stepping back unsurely, "and...sorry".

Ramiki nervously gets on to Kopa's back knowing he was gonna be in extreme trouble. "Well it was nice knowing you" Ramiki whispered to his friend sure that Vitani and Kopa would kill him.

Hali smiled, "We'll be fine" she said, though only so sure herself, before she heard Kopa's question.

"Um...I don't know" she answered honestly, "the panthers got them too but I don't know why and they didn't hurt us while we were in there or nothing".

Banzai paused a bit as he noticed one of the lions he believed had a prime title in the Pridelands, notice them. He was unsure if he should run or not.

' You three come with me..' Kopa said to the hyenas " since you were prisoners as well, I'd be amiss if I didn't free you. We'll deal with the fallout AFTER we get out of here.. His face softened a bit as he looked at the cubs "Look, Vitani and I are not going to kill you, you are going to be punished for this, yes, but this just means you will have to be watched by an adult at all times , for awhile, until Vitani thinks you can be allowed to play by yourselves again. Hali get on my back.. we're leaving. " He turned again to Banzai " lead the way, if you please.."

Vitani smiled at Kopa happily. "You are absolutely right Kopa. I think if you kids behave yourselves I can let you two play by yourselves without adult supervision for a week" Vitani said.

Hali nodded and climbed up. "Well, ok that doesn't sound too bad given all we got into, I guess" she admitted.

Banzai figured they could use the help in getting out of here, so...why not, for the moment. They'd been opportunistic once with partnering with a lion...even if that hadn't turned out that well, but this was a new season.

"Well, better than having more than one group of felines jump you I guess" was his giving in statement, "Alright, come on, let's see if we can't get our tails out of here alive" he began to lead the way out as best he knew it from what he'd seen being lead in.

Kopa followed Banazi with Hali and Ramiki clinging tightly to his mane.. " if they managed to reach the safety of room. Kopa thought, he would have to have a long talk with Vitani..about everything..

The mists solowly began to thin as the sounds of battle echoed in the distance.. kopa could see the outline of the Pridelands getting closer

One of the African Hunting Dogs noticed Kiara in danger. "Defend the Princess!" he called. His packmates heard and converged on the black jaguars attacking Kiara...

The black lion watched from afar, while his second-in-command stood at his side.

"Another party should finish them off for sure..." the advisor spoke.

Another panther came forth with news. "The rest of our army has arrived, my Lord..."

"Good," the lion replied, and turned around to leave, and stopped. "We'll keep the rest of the army for phase 2, Ebon. I doubt many of the prey will survive..."

The Jaguars heard the Hunting dogs coming anf fled, leaving both Kovu and Kiara wioth very serious injuries . kiaras underbelly had been ripped open, so that her insides were visible- including her unborn cubs - who were too undeveloped to survive if she was to give birth to them now. Kovea throat had beengashed heavily.. both would require immeduaste aid iof they were to survive. the jagaurs fled, while they had not finished off thier prey, they had injured them quite nicely..

With the black marauders gone, most of the pack encircled the injured lions to protect them while the rest inspected their injuries.

Matsu was not done with the panthers, and he nabbed one trying to escape and pinned him to the wall with an extended claw at its throat. "You have a reason for attacking us..." he growled. "Who sent you?!"

"Never..." the panther sneered.

Just stay still sis.. don't make any sudden movement.. we need to close that cut in your stomach so the cubs don't fall out..." Kopa said solemnly.. inside he was almost beside himself with fury.. but outside he needed to be calm..

Three of the hunting dogs departed quickly to bring back help, while the others keep guard, as they remained in hostile territory.

Matsu still has his hold on the black jaguar, keeping him alive until told otherwise...
