The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

You have often mentioned that you have a sweet tooth. What are your favorite things to satisfy it with?

For me, soda (usually Pepsi, Coke, or Mountain Dew) normally does the trick :lol.

I have been to Mexico before, Amy :yes.  I've only been on the eastern side of the country, and I visited the areas of Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.  I swam with stingrays in Grand Cayman, snorkeled in coral reefs in Costa Maya, and kayaked through mangroves with alligators in them in Cozumel :smile.  The country is nice, but it's sad to see how poor many of the people are.

Oh, wow. :wow I envy you.

Are there any sweet foods (the solid kind :p) that you like? (You mentioned marshmallows on the "Tell us something about yourself" thread.)

Oh, I love sweet food :lol.  I just don't eat too much of it for the reason of watching what I eat.  As you've pointed out, marshmallows are on the list :smile.  So is dark chocolate, gummy bears, Jolly Ranchers, Lifesavers, dried sweetened hibiscus flowers, Craisins, dark chocolate covered raisins, chocolate peanut butter balls, soy ice cream sandwiches, Italian ice, and various baked goods :lol.

Actually, I'm only somewhat of a believer in horoscopes.  While I do not believe in things like tarot card readings or even daily lucky numbers, I have found that many, if not most, of the daily predictions seem to be coincidental.  Some of the predictions never happen to me, but many of the predictions seem to.  It's probably just coincidence ;).

My screen name on the GOF reflects both my Roman and Chinese zodiac signs.  The personalities and characteristics of both signs very closely resemble my personality.

All in all, I read horoscopes mostly for fun.  I am not too obsessed with them :p.

What are your favorite animated films (traditional, CGI, or stop-motion) besides LBT?

Aside from LBT, I am pretty much entirely into the Disney classics and films up through Toy Story 2 (and perhaps the anticipated Toy Story 3 will make it to the list :D), the animated version of The Swan Princess, and We're Back! (I'm not ashamed to admit it :smile!).

Ironically, I did not really care for Disney's Dinosaur.  I felt they stole too many ideas from the LBT series AND got away with it, but that's another topic <_<.  Of all the styles of animation out there, I prefer traditional the most ;).

Bit of a blunt question but do you draw?  Do you like to draw?

I love drawing :D.  I've been drawing since I was at least four years old.  I'm self-taught, meaning I have never received any formal instruction for drawing.  Although I don't normally like being the center of attention, I actually liked it back in grade school when some of my classmates would ask me to make drawings for them :).  Since I've been talking with my biological family, I have found out that being a natural or self-taught at drawing is hereditary in the family.  My thirteen year-old brother already knows how to draw anime characters (mostly human characters that are quite detailed, not as simple as Jigglypuff).

I'm planning on getting a printer that has a scanner built into it soon, so I hope to start posting drawing here in the future :yes.

Self taught is the best way (I think).

What do you draw?  Do you have a particular area or do you tend to experiment with other areas?

Do you collect anything?

I mostly draw human characters, and I sometimes experiment with drawing animals and even LBT characters :).

I have a couple of things I like to collect.  I have a collection of Nene Thomas fairy figurines, windchimes, a few Cocker Spaniel stuffed animals/toys, a few Ducky plushies/toys, and a good-size collection of threehorns (not just Cera, but other threehorn plushies and toys) :smile.

I actually have a lot of LBT plushies, but as of now I don't have enough space to display them.  I keep my Duckys out with a couple of seashells (one is a whelk shell) and a crab figurine (my Roman zodiac animal).  Since my element is water, and I love swimming, I figured I'd put 'em together ;).

The last Disney film I have found enjoyable is Toy Story 2, and that was about ten years ago :p.

Not the Lion King????
(joking)

Well, I wanted to ask you this...do you find yourself caring quite deeply that whatever is going on affects you as equally as the person who is involved?

Since being an Aspie you probably know all about obsessions that consume, so I was wondering what was your longest running obsession/passion that you have or had?

I'm terribly caring and sensitive about what happens to others.  My family and myself often describe me as a "vibe magnet".  In other words, I tend to pick up on the feelings of others around me and feel them quite intensely.  I can't even watch the news much, since I tend to get very upset about all the negative stories that are covered.  I'm oftentimes described as a terribly sensitive, tender-hearted individual, and I know why because of this :yes.

My longest-running obsession has been LBT.  Been a big fan since I was seven years old :smile.

Not that there's anything wrong with it, but why'd you choose such a scary image for your new avatar?
