The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

“I’m fine,” Pangaea replied to Petrie and Terry, still smiling awkwardly, “It’s not the first time I’ve flown into a tree. That’s the thing about gliding: it’s a lot more haphazard than flying.”

“Aaaand...your intuition would be correct,” he said to Rebecca, “I think I forgot to tell you: I’ve only been doing this since yesterday. Oh, and thanks for the help with the uh...tree...pricklies,” he added inventing on the spot what he figured was an appropriate LBT term for the conifer needles.

“And, uhhhh...thanks,” he said to Petrie’s other siblings, “though I should clarify, I didn’t actually BEAT any sharpteeth, unless giving Screech two black eyes and a mouthful of treesweet juice counts. And uh...” he pointed at all of the flyer children, “don’t you go trying any of my techniques yourselves, okay?”

Rebecca smiled, "I'm happy to help Pangaea."

The siblings responded in chorus, "Okayyy...."

Their mom smiled approvingly and said, "So let's go find Guido kids!"

The kids took off in the air excitedly and tauted eachother who would find Guido first. Only Rebecca and Terry stayed on the ground with Pangaea and Petrie.

“Wow...” Pangaea murmured as he watched all the young flyers spreading out to hunt for Guido, “Y’know, I came to your nest just to check if Guido was there. I wasn’t expecting a search party.” He smirked. “I’m thankful for it, though. I hardly know my way around the valley myself, and I dunno where I’d start looking for him.”

Another thought suddenly occurred to Pangaea. “Uh...I just remembered something,” he said, “Earlier I was with some others who were waiting out the storm in a cave, and I told them that I was going to your nest to look for Guido and then coming back. I should probably head back there and let them know that I’m going to be searching for Guido a bit longer, so they don’t worry about me.”

(OOC: Rat Lady, is it okay if I temporarily play as one of Petrie’s siblings?)

"Me hope Guido no sleep gliding." Petrie said, recalling how Guido did the first time he did during his sleep and the adventure he and his friends had before they found out Guido could glide, and the other events afterwards.

(Yeah go ahead Pangaea. :yes)

Rebecca responded to her son, "I'm sure he's fine Petrie, we'll find him." She tried to reassure her son.

Then she turned to Pangaea, "Well, Guido IS a friend of our family and the kids like him a lot." She smiled and turned to her two children, Petrie and Terry. "Why don't you two look with your brothers and sisters? Me and Pangaea can look this way." She pointed to one side of the valley.

Amy figured since the sun was coming up, she should blow out the fire.

She meekly asked everyone around her, "Um, can someone get some water, I should extinguish this thing." She motioned her beak to the fire.

She hoped that no one heard her because then she thought it was a stupid question to ask. There was already a lot of water in the area as it was!

"Oh um..nevermind...I'll get it myself..." She turned a bit red and went out of the cave to find a way to get some water. She cupped some in her hands, with plenty of struggle to cup it in her so called "hands".

Gah...I miss my human hands..." She groaned.

She then used the water to extinguish the fire, and the fire was only partly out.

Flapper went outside to a nearby pool where some rain water had gathered and got some water in his hands to carry it back and help to put the fire out.  "Maybe we should keep the wood and such in here since if it rains again we can come here to keep warm and dry." He said.

---

"Me go look in secret caverns first." Petrie said then he flew off to head to where the secret caverns were where Chomper and Ruby slept to see if Guido was there or if they had seen him, assuming if Chomper and or Ruby were anywhere near the area.

"Um...do you suppose we can quickly stop by the cave first?" Pangaea asked, "I told them I'd be back, and I don't like to break a promise."

Rebecca watched her son go and asked her daughter, "Dear, why don't you go with your brother?"

Terry replied, "Um...but there's a sharptooth where he's going mom..." She shook, nervously and hid behind her mom.

"Hun, he's a very sweet sharptooth, he wouldn't hurt Petrie or anyone in the valley. He's a friendly sharptooth. Now on. It'll be okay." She nudged her daughter gently toward where Petrie was going. Terry gulped, but flew away to follow Petrie, "Hey Petrie, wait up!" She called out.

Rebecca chuckled, then turned to Pangaea. "Of course, go do what you need to do."
---------
Little Foot looked up at his grandparents. "Um...can I see where my friends are? Maybe I can find Alli, Shorty, and dad too." He smiled enthusiastically.
---------
Red Claw heard Screech eat, but didn't hear Thud eat at all. "Well...someone's as frozen as a carcass." He smirked.

Anna woke up when Mr. Threehorn informed the group about the rain stopping.  Having been interrupted out of a very disturbing nightmare, Anna briefly shook her head in a violent fashion as she came to her senses and then glanced toward the cave entrance.

"You're right," Anna said before she turned her attention to her friends.  "Wake up.  It's nice out once again," she shispered as she gently nudged Cera with her right elbow.  The young threehorn woke up, stretched out, and then gently woke up Tricia.  The sisters then headed over to their parents as Anna drew her attention to Ducky, who was evidently in deep sleep.  She had not even stirred when Cera had moved, causing her to flop onto the rocky ground.

"Yo, Ducky.  Gotta get up now," Anna said as she gently shook Ducky with her right hand.  Ducky continued to sleep deeply.

"Hey!  Wake up!" Anna called before she flicked Ducky on the head.

"I do not need a bath, Mama," Ducky groaned in her sleep.  Anna sighed in frustration before she noticed a puddle of water near the cave entrance.

"Hey, Cera.  Would ya be kind enough to tell me if that puddle 'o water is cold?" Anna asked.  Cera looked at her in a weird fashion.  What's this crazy girl up to now? Cera thought to herself before she nodded.

"Uh, sure," Cera replied as she stepped over to the puddle and placed her right front paw in it.

"Burrr!" Cera said as she shivered.  "That's awfully cold."

"Perfect," Anna said as she stood up and then carefully scooped up Ducky.

"Uh...Anna?  Do I dare ask why you first asked me about the puddle and now you're bringing Ducky over to it?" Cera questioned with a weirded-out expression before it finally dawned on her.  "Oh...now I get it," Cera said with a snicker.

"If this does not wake her up, I dunno what will," Anna said.  "I know you're gonna be pissed off, Ducky, so I'm sorry already.  Okay.  One...two...three!"

"EEEEEEEEKKK!" Ducky shrieked as she made contact with the cold water.  She jumped up and was shaking the water off of herself in a matter of seconds.  She then shot Anna an evil glare.

"What was that all about?!" she demanded.

"Sorry.  It's just, I could not get ya to wake up," Anna said.  "Are ya okay?"

"I think so, yep yep yep.  Was I really sleeping so hard?" Ducky asked with a giggle.

"Worse than Spike!" Cera spoke up.

"That is bad, yep yep yep," Ducky replied with a weirded-out expression.  This caused Anna, Cera, and Tricia to laugh.  Ducky joined in almost immediately.

"Well, as Mr. Threehorn said before, the storm is gone.  Let's go outside," Anna said.

One of Petrie’s brothers, a slightly hyperactive, chattery little flyer called Donny, flitted rapidly through the forest in search of Guido.

“Guido! Guido! Guido!” he called loudly, “Where are you, Guido?”

No one responded to his calls, but on one of the few occasions he paused for breath (which he frequently became short of, both from his nonstop shouting and his frantic flying), he heard the sound of light snoring emanating from a nearby tree. Investigating, Donny discovered a hollow in said tree, inside which Guido was soundly sleeping.

Donny shivered excitedly at his accomplishment: he had found Guido first! “Hey, Guido!” he screeched shrilly, “Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!”

“Whaó?” Guido yelped, waking with a start and bumping his head on the ceiling of the hollow.

“Ow...” he groaned, rubbing his head. He dazedly turned in Donny’s direction. “What is it?”

“Your friend Panjayee...Panjeeyus...Pansomething was looking for you!” Donny squawked.

“Pangaea?!” Guido exclaimed. He poked his head out of the tree hollow and looked up at the Bright Circle. “Oh, no, how long did I sleep? Is he worried about me?”

“I think so. He kinda seemed to be. Here, follow me, I’ll take you to him,” Donny chattered in his usual rapid-fire manner. The instant he was done speaking, he turned and took off like a flying rock back towards where he had left his mother and Pangaea.

“No, no, no, no! Wait for me first!” Guido yelled as he jumped out of the tree and glided after him.

Ali had noticed the change in weather earlier and was heading to where Littlefoot and his grandparents were currently.

“I found Guido! I found him! I found him! I found him!” Donny squawked excitedly as he returned to where Rebecca and Pangaea were talking.

Guido staggered out of the bushes a moment later, gasping for breath. “Fly slower next time, okay!” he wheezed.

“Guido!” Pangaea exclaimed, “There you are! Are you okay?”

“Oh, uh, hi, Pangaea,” Guido replied, still a bit groggy, “Uh, I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be?”

“That was a pretty bad storm,” Pangaea explained, “I was worried that you might’ve been caught out in the middle of it or something, so I went out looking for you.”

“Uh...What storm?” Guido asked, “Right after we split up, I got some crawlers to eat and then took a nap. I didn’t see any storm.”

There was a long, awkward pause as the irony sunk in. When he himself had had shelter, Pangaea had worried that Guido had been caught outside in the storm, and gone out into the rain himself to look for him (though his pleasant interactions with the flyer family had been well worth it). Now it was obvious that he needn’t have worried at all.

“Oh,” he said finally. He shrugged sheepishly. “Well, uh...never mind then. Sorry.”

Petrie slowed down so his sibling could catch up.  "You come too?" He asked, not expecting anyone to come along with him.

--

Mim started to stretch and yawn as she woke up in the cave she had found shelter in.  Seeing the rain was over she stretched a bit more then started to get up and go outside.

--

"Sure, if it's ok with your grandma." Grandpa Longneck said to Littlefoot, "Try not to get to dirty ok?" He said, laughing softly in his good natural way as he remembered how he had liked to splash in puddles and such after sky water had fallen.

Grandma Longneck nodded in response to her mate.
"Just be sure that you and your friends stay safe Littlefoot." she said with a warm smile.

~~~
Rick looked behind him and noticed the storm had ended.
"Well...it looks like we can go outside once more. What do you all think?" he asked the others present.
Longtail smiled in response.
"I could use a chance to stretch my wings." he said as he wagged his tail.
Amy nodded appreciatively at Kor, "Thanks Flapper." Then she walked out of the cave and ended up stepping in the mud, feeling the cold and dirty liquid at her toes.
-----------
Rebecca turned to see Guido and said, "It's good that you are safe though." She smiled.
Then she turned to her son and said, "Very good Donny." She gives him a playful nudge.
-----------
"All right!" Little Foot got up excitedly and ran ahead from his grandparents, having mud splash in all directions from him stepping in the mud. "Let's go Alli!" He called out to Ali.
He goes to the a little ways and shouts, "Hey, Cera, Petrie, Ducky, Spike, Ruby, Chomper, where is everyone?" Then he sees Mr. Three Horn out in the clearing, Anna, and some of his friends. "Hey guys!" He yells approaching them.
“Yes, thank you!” Pangaea said emphatically to Donny, “I don’t know how long it would’ve taken if I’d had to find him myself. Thank you so much!”
“You’re welcome,” Donny chirped appreciatively.
“Now, uhh...what about all of your other kids?” Pangaea asked Rebecca, “I mean, there’s no need for them to keep searching for Guido anymore. Should we...call them back or something?”
"Alright. I'll go and find him. Perhaps he is not so far away from here..." Chomper said, walking out of the cave. He started to sniff air to catch Claw's scent, but what he could smell was an old track, so he needed to go futher away. Then he heard someone shouting from a distance. It sounded like Littlefoot was calling his friends to come. Chomper thought that if everybody will come to one place, then it will be an opportunity to ask them if they didn't see Claw anywhere. He ran quickly in direction of Littlefoot's voice...
---
"Enough laughing!" brown flyer said "Lets get to business. It's your turn, Rinkus." he said to pink flyer, waving his paw at Claw. Rinkus came closer to lying sharptooth.
"Listen to me, fastbiter. Me and my friend here are staying in the Valley for few Bright Circles, but those who live here would surely want to make us go away, if they knew we are here." pink flyer said.
"Why are you telling me this?" Claw asked.
"Because we want to make you our spy. We need someone, who would warn us of every move those Valleyers make and since you are a friend to them, as you claim, it won't be hard for you to get us informations." Rinkus answered with a sly smile "Do you agree to be our eyes and ears in the Valley?"
"You forgot to say magic word." Claw sneered.
"Say 'yes' or else..." Sierra (by now Claw had a certainty it was him) said quietly, but he didn' have to shout to sound immensely menacing.
"Works for me." Claw told hastily.
"Good." Rinkus said, picking up a black, round thing from the ground. Claw had been too focused on flyers to notice this thing earlier, but now he could see it looked like some kind of fruit.
"Now... To ensure that you won't change your mind after we will let you go..." Rinkus said before thrusting the black fruit into fastbiter's mouth. Claw tried to spit it out, but Sierra used his paws to shut his mouth, so sharptooth had no other choice but to swallow the fruit, which didn't taste good at all (to say the least). After Claw ate it all, pink flyer said:
"The first thing you should know is: this fruit, you've eaten, is quite poisonous. To be honest, it is so poisonous that after ten or more Bright Circles you will die."
"That's right." Sierra said with a wide smile "At first, you will only feel a little tired, then you will get a pain in the head, which will become stronger and stronger, but it will be just a beginning. After awhile you will start loosing your teeth and claws and then you will feel like your stomach is burning terribly, but it would be far from over..."
"Yes. Then you will spit with blood and it will be too hard for you to swallow anything, as it will cause only more pain to you. After one or two Bright Circles you will be too weak to walk or stand." Rinkus said "Then, sharptooth, you will slowly die, lying in you blood, which will flow out of your eyes, your nose and your mouth..."
"Isn't that a beautiful death?" Sierra asked rhetorically, with dreamy expression on his face "I wish we could stay in the Great Valley long enough to see it..."
"Luckily for you, sharptooth, we know how to heal you and we will do it. If you keep spying for us, that is." Rinkus continued "We will release you now, but we expect you to show up here every morning." as he was saying this, Sierra was loosening vines, that were keeping Claw in place "Remember: if you tell anyone about us or if you don't do what we are ordering you to do, you will never get the cure."
"I will remember." Claw said. He didn't like to be a spy, but let's face it, what other choice he had?
"You better will!" Sierra exclaimed, untieing the last vine "Alright, lets go now, Rinkus. I had enough talking for a one day." After that, he took off in the air, with Rinkus right behind him.
Belmont would have walked to Bron or Ali's herd but he felt it would be better if he stayed with Amy,Flapper and Rick.
After running for awhile Ali finally reached Littlefoot's nest but she saw him and his friends leaving "Littlefoot" Ali yelled....
Little Foot saw Chomper and said, "Hey Chomper, how are you doing?" He smiled.
Noticing Ali was coming with him he called out, "Hey Ali, sorry about me taking off, I didn't notice you were near us." He blushed in embarrassment.
----------
Rebecca was already taking off in the air and calling out to the kids, "Kids! You can stop looking, Guido's been found!" Immediately, her children flew to where she was and saw Guido. They gasped and chattered to Guido. "You okay Guido?" One of them asked. "You were gone for awhile!" Another one chimed in.
