The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Petrie was almost to the Secret Caverns when he hear his mother calling out and turned around to head back, "he found, that good.  No looking then." He said as he headed back.

--

"Guess we'll have to avoid the mud if possible." Flapper said.  "I do hope it dries soon." He said looking up into the sky.

--

Mim walked out of the cave she was in, avoiding the mud when she could as she started to walk around to see what the others were up to.

Cera was naturally the first one to notice Littlefoot.

"Hey there, Littlefoot!" she called back.

“Oh...uh, hi, guys,” Guido greeted Petrie’s siblings, “I’m fine. Did I worry you guys too? Sorry. It’s been kind of, you know, crazy for me lately, meeting another of my kind for the first time and all.” He nodded at Pangaea. “You’ve met Pangaea, right? I mean, obviously you’ve seen him already; he’s right there. But have you talked to him yet?” but have you talked to him yet?”

“Oh yes!” Donny said, “He tells great stories!”

“I know! Isn’t it great?” Guido beamed, “I never thought I’d meet someone weirder than me!” He paused. “Uh...I–I–I mean, not weird in a bad way; weird in a good way, you know? Weird in the same way I’m weird, but more so. I meanĂ³”

“Uh, as much as I hate to interrupt,” Pangaea cut in, “I’d better get back to the cave I was in before, to tell the others who were with me that I’m okay. Did you want to come with me, Guido?”

“Um...actually,” Guido said, “If it’s okay with you, I thought I’d visit with the Flyers for a bit, and then maybe go and get some food.”

“Oh, no problem,” Pangaea replied, “I’ll see you soon, then.”

Before he left, Pangaea briefly turned to speak with Rebecca. “Thank you so much for having me,” he said sincerely, “I hope I can visit you and your family again sometime.”

Little Foot smiled when he saw his three horn friend.

"Hey Cera, quite a storm huh?" He looked around, seeing the valley drenched with water.
-----------
Amy saw Terry and Petrie. Or, she saw Petrie taking off and another flyer behind. She called out, "Hey, excuse me, are you Petrie?" She called out. Terry looked up at Amy and backed off a bit. She saw the scars and marks on Amy, which made her shake. Amy looked down at Terry and said, "Oh, hello, I'm Amy, who are you?" She asked in a soft voice. Terry quivered. "Um..um...um...I'm...Terry..." She looked to the ground.

Amy smiled softly, "It's okay, I guess I look kind of scary huh?" Terry made a little nod, being embarrassed to feel afraid of this obviously nice flyer. The older flyer shrugged. "Eh, it's okay." She looked toward where Petrie flew and then spoke, "Is that your brother?" Terry nods, then Terry says, "I-I-I can show you my family if you want." Amy smiled, "Okay, thanks." Terry takes off and Amy walks below and to follow Terry and Petrie.
---------
Mr. Three Horn saw Little Foot, Cera, and everyone else nearby and he said, "Well...hopefully the valley will dry up sooner or later..."
-------
Rebecca smiled, "You are always welcome Pangaea. I know the kids would want you come sometime." She raised a brow and gave a sly grin as she saw her kids crowding around Pangaea and Guido.

"Yeah! You're always welcome!" One of the kids chimed in. "That's for sure!" Another said. "I like your stories!" Another replied.

“Thanks,” Pangaea said to Rebecca, “Thanks, all of you. See ya later!”

With one last grateful smile and nod to the Flyer family, Pangaea raced off in the direction of the cave where he had left Spike, Ducky, Anna, and the Threehorn family, hoping that he hadn’t kept them waiting too long.

Petrie landed near Amy.  To her question he nodded, "Me Petrie." He said.  He then paused as he saw Terry talking.  He let Terry and Amy talk, remaining quiet for their conversation.  He nodded to Terry saying Amy could come and see their family, "Follow and we lead way." He said and took off with Terry.

"Yeah, it really was," Cera replied, before she realized Littlefoot had probably not been formally introduced to Anna yet.  "Littlefoot, have you met Anna yet?  There's so many newcomers that I'm not sure if you've met her or not."

"I believe we met yesterday, but I could be mistaken," Anna spoke up before she gave Littlefoot a polite nod.  "Glad to see ya anyway, Littlefoot."

"I am glad to see you too, yep yep yep," Ducky added.  She was standing near Cera.  Tricia simply giggled with a smile as she wagged her tail.

Without saying anything to his three companions, Belmont left the cave and headed for the longneck nest "I wonder...if their even is a way to get back to my own time" he thought as he walked.
--------------------------------------------------------
Ali walked up to Anna and said shyly "so you're one of the newcomers".

Little Foot looked to Ali and everyone else, "Hey, have you guys seen Shorty and my dad anywhere?"
---------
Amy smiled at Petrie and replied, "Thanks kid." And she followed the two young flyers. Terry saw her mom, Guido and her other siblings. "We're here." She whispered to Amy.

Terry landed with her brother and Amy approached the family with Guido and when she saw Gudio she smiled and shyly went up to the crowd, "Um...hello...everyone."

Rebecca turned to see her two children with the older flyer. "Ah hello! Kids, this is Amy, Amy, these are my children, I see you know Petrie and Terry already." She introduced her to the others.

"Guess he's in a hurry to get somewhere." Flapper said.

"Yes, we met her short time ago." Petrie said concerning Amy.  "Me glad Guido found fast." He said.

“Oh, uh...hi there!” Guido greeted Amy in his typical nervous fashion, “Do you remember me? I saw you the other night just before those sharpteeth showed up.”

One of the kids then burst out laughing. He then said in a tauting voice, "So you can't fly huh?" He crossed his arms and lifted a brow at Amy. "Why? Is your sense of direction wanky? You're no flyer at all!" He laughed out loud with many others laughing along with him.  Amy turned red as she waved hi to Guido.

Rebecca shused her children and replied, "Enough! Not everyone learns how to fly at the same pace. And if I remember correctly," She looked at her son that made fun of Amy, "Remember when your brother Petrie couldn't fly for awhile? And he wasn't flying in order like the rest of you, but the Day of the Flyers became a hit because Petrie added a few things here and there. My dears, you are all special in your own ways."

Terry smiled at her mom and Amy smiled at Rebecca. Though she wasn't sure if she heard her correctly, since she was so vunerable as it was to teasing and being made fun of for being a late bloomer.

Rebecca then looked to her son with a stern expression and said, "So, what do you have to say for yourself?" The son went up to Amy and mumbled, "I'm sorry..." It was evident he was embarrassed if not more, then the older flyer was. Amy tried to compose herself and tried not to show that she was getting teary eyed. "Apology accepted." She said softly.

One of the sisters complained, "Can we go home now? It's too wet outside." Some of the others agreed. Rebecca sighed and replied, "Yes you may go inside the cave." Some of them flew away to their cave. Terry decided to fly with them.

Amy then approached Guido, "So, yeah I remember you, how are you doing?" She tried to smile, though it was evident that she was holding back tears.

Anna's attention was drawn to Ali.

"Yeah, I'm one of the newcomers.  Name's Anna, and it's nice to meetcha...um...um," Anna stammered.

"Ali," Cera piped up.  "Her name is Ali, and she is a friend.  She's really shy, so she may not talk much at first."

"Thank ya, Cera, but I'm sure she'll talk if ya let her.  No offense," Anna replied before she returned her attention to Ali.  "I think we share somethin' in common, Ali.  I'm usually very quiet and shy until I get to know a person, too.  However, I want ya to know that it's okay to talk to me without fear of sounding foolish or awkward.  I'm not one to make fun of others behind their backs."

“I’ve been doing great!” Guido replied ecstatically. Then he perceived how hurt Amy looked, and his cheerful expression immediately drooped.

“Hey,” he said gently, “Don’t worry about what that guy said. There’s nothing wrong with not being able to fly.” He reached out with a wing and patted Amy’s back in a comforting gesture.

--------------------------------------------------

Fortunately for Pangaea, it had been a short trip from the cave to the Flyers’ nest, and it was easy for him to find his way back.

As he came within sight of the cave, Pangaea saw that Cera, Anna, Ducky, Tricia, Spike, Tria, and Mr. Threehorn were already outside.

“Uh, hey!” he called, “I’m back! Sorry it took me so long!”

He skidded to a halt as he noticed that two others had joined them: Littlefoot, and apparently Ali.

Once again, Pangaea felt a flush of anxiety. Not only was this now quite a large group by his standards, but clearly there was a conversation in progress, and he was embarrassed to think that he might have interrupted it. However, though he was certainly within visual range of the group, he wasn’t sure whether any of them had actually noticed him. Feeling uncertain as to what to do next, he remained where he was.

Little Foot saw the red glider and exclaimed in his typical friendly way, "Hey! Your Pangaea right?"
---------
Amy didn't want to get into a long winded speech about how she always seemed to be a late bloomer in her life no matter what. She sniffed a bit and wiped a few tears away.

"Thanks Guido...he just got me right here." She placed her hand on her chest. Then shrugged and said, "Um...so did you know..." Amy paused trying to find the right words. "That the storm was going on?"
----------
Mr. Three Horn saw who Little Foot was saying hi to and he said, "Well, where have you been?" He raised a brow as he asked in a gruff voice.

“Um...yeah, that’s me,” Pangaea said, coming closer hesitantly. Strange, he thought, I don’t remember Littlefoot being around at any of the times I introduced myself.

He then turned his attention to Mr. Threehorn. “Uh, sorry,” he said, “I went out looking for Guido; didn’t I tell you that when I left? I thought he might be with Petrie’s family, so I went to their nest. He wasn’t there, but Petrie’s mom invited me in, and then I got to chatting with the kids, and by the time I was done, the storm was over. Long story short, they helped me find Guido, and then I came back here.”

Having responded to both of the individuals who had addressed him, Pangaea returned to his previous objective of being as unintrusive as possible. He shrank back from the group a bit, and held his hands out in front of him, palms forward, waving them slightly. “Uh, if I interrupted a conversation here, don’t mind me,” he said nervously, “Just...carry on; I’ll keep out of the way until you’re done.”

--------------------------------------------------

Guido chuckled sheepishly. “Uh, actually,” he said, “I slept through the whole thing. I never knew there was a storm.”

"It better then being in storm and get wet." Petrie said. "Getting wet in storm no fun for flyer." Petrie said.

"Oh okay. You know, you must be happy to find a friend a like Pangaea. I kept hearing that you were the only one of your kind here." Amy responded, changing the subject.

Rebecca listened to the conversation and she looked to her son and started a conversation with him. She spoke softly though so she wouldn't be overheard. "Petrie, that was very nice of you to invite Amy in our group. She seemed to be a bit lonely."
---------
Mr. Three Horn snorted, "That's nice, well, I think we still need to fix that hole in the rock wall and don't we still need to find those two newcomers?" He said as more of a statement then a question. He had a "c'mon genius" attitude in his voice.

Little Foot glared at Mr. Three Horn, but then he turned to Pangaea. "No, you didn't really interrupt anyone. By the way, I'm Little Foot." He smiled introducing himself.

“Yeah,” Guido responded, “I was the only one of my kind ANYWHERE until he showed up. I mean, it’s not like I’ve been completely lonely; Petrie and his family and friends have been really nice to me since I came to the Great Valley. Still, meeting Pangaea has to be one of the best things that’s happened to me in a long time.”

--------------------------------------------------

Pangaea glanced nervously at the others, wondering if they shared Littlefoot’s position that he was not presenting an interruption, before replying. “Well...if you say so,” he said, “but only if the rest of you are okay with me being here.” Tentatively he walked up to Littlefoot. “Pleased to meet you,” he said, privately marveling at how strange it was that he had to look UP to make eye contact with Littlefoot.
