The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Sam reached the rock wall and climbed over. "Hey we're back finally,' sam said as he reached the bottom of the pile. Sam walked over to mr threehorn. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier I say things like that when I'm mad sometimes it was really rude of me to say those things and I apoligize,' sam said.

"Great to have you back.  That leaves just one left I think?" Mim said first to Sam then the others.

"I hope things were not to bad for you out there." Grandpa Longneck said to Sam.

Mr. Three Horn snorted and laughed heartily, "Hah, no harm done rainbow face, it's already been resolved. By the way, didn't you have another friend out there?"

He narrowed his eyes to the hole, wondering if anyone else was supposed to come in.

Rebecca exclaimed, "Oh good! One of the newcomers are here!" She smiled.

Red Claw snorted to the two, "It depends how many leftovers we have, if we have a lot then I don't see why we would need to hunt them, but if not, then it would be a good idea to go after them." He growled.

"It's good to see that you're back safe and sound,' the male rainbowface said. "Yes we've been waiting here in case you came back this way,' the female rainbowface said.

"Do you know if the other one was with you.  Or did the both of you get separated in the storm?" Grandma Longneck asked.

"Maybe that would be a better idea, yep yep yep," Ducky said in response to Amy's suggestion.  Cera looked over in Amy's direction from where she was wading.

"You mean to tell me you can't swim?" Cera asked the flyer.  The thought made her feel like she was not the only one after all.

Pangaea had quietly followed the group all the way to the Thundering Falls, trailed by Guido. He now stood by the water’s edge, watching Anna, Tricia, Ducky, and Cera’s antics from a distance, struggling to suppress a chuckle each time the latter was splashed, sprayed, or otherwise doused with water. “Poor Cera,” he laughed softly to himself.

He turned to Guido, who was standing next to him. “Say, Guido, do you like swimming?”

Before Guido could even answer, Pangaea slapped himself in the forehead. “Right, right, right! I forgot. You don’t like to swim in the same place you drink.”

“Uh, yeah,” Guido affirmed. “Why, were you thinking of going in?”

Pangaea shrugged. “I dunno,” he said. “I used to like to swim back in my own universe, but it might not be so easy now that I’ve got these feathers.” He spread out a wing. “I figure I’d float, but even if these things don’t get bogged down with water, they’d probably make for pretty clumsy swimming.”

“Well...if you want to go in, you could just do what Cera’s doing and walk around in the shallow places,” Guido suggested, motioning towards Cera.

Pangaea nodded. “Maybe I’ll do that,” he said, “I’m bored to death of just standing around doin’ nothin’, anyway.”

Ali waded into the shallow waters near Petrie "this feels so good" she said out loud, though she was sure not alot of people or dinosaurs could hear her.

"I though 'Thomas' was right behind me,' sam said.

"Well if he lost his way we have to go out and look for him,' Johan said.

Amy raised a brow at Cera, not sure whom she was asking, Petrie or her, so she said, "Ehh...well I swam quite a bit when I was a human being, but now...I'm not so sure if I can swim as good as I used to when I was human."

Great now I have that "When We're Human" song in my head She thought as she made her comment. She tried not to laugh as she thought this too.

Little Foot nodded to Ali, telling her he heard. "It sure is nice swimming huh?"
-------------
Mr. Three Horn snorted, "Well that human better come back later on, otherwise, we'll block this hole, we don't need those sharpteeth coming in again."

Some of the others agreed to the three horn, speaking amongst each other.

"Yeah I hear you,' sam said. He knew that he couldn't just abandon 'Thomas' in the mysterious beyond but he also knew that if the hole wasn't blocked off, that more sharpteeth would find their way in it was a heart wrentching choice either sacrifice one to protect many or risk many on account of 1 person.

" I wonder if any flyers would be willing to fly high and see if they see him nearby." Mim said

Grandpa Longneck went a bit closer to the wall and stretched his neck up to see if he could see or hear any sign of anyone approaching the wall.

"Me glad friends having fun in water.  " Petrie said, having fun watching his friends from where he was and thinking of some past fun they had as well as remembering Mo.

Longtail was floating on his back in the water enjoying the sounds of laughter that his friends were making. He then looked up at Cera as he heard her ask her question. He then said, "Well i can swim...does that count?"

Rick was now sitting in the water simply enjoying the feeling of the water on his skin. "This is actually pretty nice. And peaceful...I like it."

Spike stepped over to Ducky and politely mumbled 'Are you hungry?'

"Thomas" had reappaeard in the valley. He and Sam had been gone a while. Looking the water before him, the human noticed a couple of creatures in the water. It was Rick and Longtail!

"Hello there! I've been away for quite some time" Thomas announced to them. "I've been wondering if anything important happened while I was gone."

Rick had been caught completely by surprise at Thomas' sudden return and as such he tried to get up to greet him and slipped on the rocks at the bottom of the lake, and despite the water breaking his fall, he splashed everyone around him. He shook the extra water off his head and smiled sheepishly at everyone. "Sorry about that...I slipped." he said as he looked over at Thomas.
"Good to see you again. The elders were getting worried about you." He looked over at Longtail with a pleading face as he asked, "I know this is kinda sudden, but could you-"

"Go tell the grown-ups Thomas is back....sure." Muttered Longtail with irritated look on his face.

"They could be at the thundering falls you should check there first,' johan said.

After taking a moment to make sure that the ground underwater didn’t slope steeply away from the bank, Pangaea took a cautious step in. The water was high enough to just cover his feet and soak the lowermost feathers on his legs, so he took another step.

“Uh, how’s the water?” Guido asked from the bank.

“Pretty good,” Pangaea replied. “I’m going to go a little further out, see if I can find anything.”

“Like what?” Guido asked, puzzled. “What are you looking for?”

“Just critters,” Pangaea replied with a shrug, “I like looking for aquatic wildlifeóthat’s, uh...swimming creaturesówhenever I’m around water. Maybe catch a few if I’m lucky.”

“Catch for what?” Guido asked. “To eat?”

“Prob’ly not. I’m partial to shellfish, but I don’t think I’d have the heart to use a living one to satisfy my appetite. No, I just like to look at them; hold them if it doesn’t mean I’ll be bitten or pinched too badly.”

As Pangaea talked, he continued to wade further out. The water was now nearly up to his knees, and he was doing his best to disturb it as little as possible, so as not to spook any aquatic wildlife that might be nearby. The water was clear enough that Pangaea could see right down into it, and it wasn’t long before he spotted his first creature, hovering in the water just below the surface a few feet ahead of him. “Ooh, a fish!” he cooed in fascination. “A Eusthenopteron, I think.”

“A useless what?” Guido asked.

“Uh, a lobe-finned fish. I mean, uh...a finned swimmer. A...oh, never mind. Hold on, I’m gonna see if I can get closer.”

His gaze fixed on the fish, Pangaea waded further towards it as quietly as he could. Unfortunately, he didn’t notice a small pit in the bottom of the pool, and on the next step he took, his foot slipped into it. Pangaea only had enough time to utter a surprised “Awk!” before he toppled unceremoniously into the shallow water with a splash.

“Pangaea!” Guido, still standing on the bank, squawked in alarm, “Are you all right? You aren’t drowning, are you? I can’t help you if you’re drowning! I don’t know how to swim!”

At that moment, Pangaea lifted his head out of the water, the soaked plumes on his nape slicked messily across the top of his head. He was lying on his stomach in water not much deeper than that he’d been wading through, just deep enough that his entire body (minus his raised head) was submerged in his sprawled position. Needless to say, he was thoroughly drenched.

“Well, it was bound to happen,” Pangaea sighed, “That’s pretty much how I always end up submerging myself when I’m reluctant to go all the way in.”

“Oh, you’re okay,” Guido said, breathing a sigh of relief. He paused. “You ARE okay, aren’t you?”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” Pangaea said, “But the fish swam away.”

"So both of them in yet?" Flapper asked as he walked into the area, having taken a nap and gotten some food and a bit of a bath also during the time he was gone.

Sam walked up to the others at the thundering falls. "Hey guys,' sam said.
