The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"I do hope this one stays up for a good while, with no earthshakes messing it up." Mim said.  "A bother but an important bother to keep it filled in." She said.

Little Foot brightened up when Alli spoke to him, so he said, "Hey Alli, did you meet my Shorty yet? He's my brother, Shorty, this is Alli." He politely introduced them.

Amy decided to break the awkward silence between her and Cera, so she said, "Well, thank you for telling me what you needed to tell me anyway, I think I know what you're going through with your dad and all. You know what though, I think with age your dad will ease up a bit. It can take awhile for dinosaurs to change. I know it took a long time for my dad to change." She stated thinking of her father back at home.
------------
Meanwhile at the rock wall of the valley, Mr. Three Horn and the others were able to fill in the hole and finally finished their project.

"All right, good work everyone." Mr. Three Horn stated gruffly.
-------------
Red Claw seemingly in a trance, awoke with a start and replied, "Sorry, did someone say something?"

"Good, then we can all rest, and be glad of the good work we all did together." Grandpa Longneck said smiling to those together who had been working on the stone wall.

"I'm glad we can finally rest." Flapper said sitting down.

"Though we did do good work." Mim said as she looked for a place to sit down and sat down.

From his floating vantage point on the surface of the Thundering Falls pool, Pangaea continued to observe the Great Valley’s underwater flora and fauna, alternately raising his head above the water to grab a breath of air, and ducking it beneath to watch the inhabitants of the pool. A couple of times he tried to dive down and swim underwater, but his buoyant feathers prevented him from attaining any depth whatsoever.

After spending an indeterminate amount of time engrossed in his naturalist observations (as was typical of him), Pangaea found himself suddenly jolted out of his concentration by a pang of pain shooting through his gut, coupled with an enteric growl loud enough to startle a few nearby fish.
Holy buckets! Pangaea thought, immediately recognizing the familiar ache and its accompanying sound. How long has it been since I last ate?! He tried to think back. Must’ve been last night, just before Thud showed up; those tree sweets Guido showed me.

Or was that two nights ago? he wondered. Good grief; how bad am I at keeping track of time?! In any case, it had definitely been quite some time since he had eaten anythingólonger than he was accustomed toóand he had been very active in that time. Hunger pangs for Pangaea tended to come and go; at times he would suddenly feel ravenous, like he hadn’t eaten in days, but if he delayed in responding to the impulse to fill his stomach, the feeling tended to fade. Admittedly, Pangaea loved to eat, so while he might ignore such pangs for a few hours if he was heavily focused on something at the time, he would almost always find an excuse to indulge himself before the day was out. Of course, these last couple of days had been so exciting for him that, apparently, if any of these hunger pangs had come up before, he had not noticed them. Now, however, he felt that he should definitely pay attention to them.

“Gotta eat somethin’,” he muttered, glancing for a moment at the little red shrimp swimming around him. Experimentally Pangaea snapped at one (Whether it was his taste for seafood or his Microraptor instincts that strained his reservations against attacking food that was still moving, he didn’t know), but it darted away before he even came close. Pangaea wasn’t surprised; even if he had been completely comfortable with the idea of catching some freshwater creature for food, he seriously doubted that he would be able to do so. He would have to return to land and find something to eat there. Oh well, he thought, I guess I needed to get out of the water sooner or later.

Still harboring a slight twinge of disappointment at having to abandon his freshwater observations so early, Pangaea began the awkward swim to shore.

Just then, Cera felt the need to be by herself.

"Excuse me, guys," Cera said before she walked off to find a quiet place.  Anna, who happened to be swimming nearby, looked over at her friend as Cera walked off.

"I wonder what that was all about.  I thought she was havin' fun," Anna said as Ducky swam up next to her.

"Huh?" Ducky asked curiously.

"Cera just left us.  Does she normally do that?" Anna asked her swimmer friend.

"Oh, yes she does.  She likes to be by herself quite often, yep yep yep," Ducky replied.

"Hmm," Anna hummed as she looked back in the direction Cera had walked in.  "Maybe she'll feel better later."

"She will, yep yep yep," Ducky said before she gently tugged on Anna's arm.  "Come swim some more, Anna."

"Alrightie," Anna replied with a smile before she rejoined Ducky.  She continued to think about Cera as she swam.

Hmm...there's somethin' about that girl that reminds me of myself.  I'll talk to her later, Anna thought to herself as she swam.  Meanwhile, Tricia continued to nap on the bank of the water.

"Me can understand that.  With all Petrie's brothers and sisters sometimes Petrie wants to be alone for a bit while at nest." Petrie said, understanding how Cera felt.

"I guess you're right.  I think I can understand how she feels, too," Anna replied as she swam around, thinking about how being an Aspie makes her like more quiet time than NT folks.

Meanwhile, when she found a quiet clearing, Cera curled up on the ground and rested her head.  It was nice to hear the sounds of nature for a change instead of the others' chatting.  She truly cared about her friends; it was just that so much noise and stimulation got to her sometimes.  The young threehorn then closed her eyes as she took in all the nature sounds around her.

Red Claw shrugged, "Not now, I'm still too sore over what happened in the valley. Later on perhaps, but now, I think I need to find some food."

He sniffed the air and his surroundings, wondering what was around him now.

Amy saw Cera leave and saw her sitting by herself. Then she decided to leave the water herself and dry herself off. She tried into much of the sun as she possibly could, and tried to make sure she wasn't sprayed or splashed by anyone.

After swimming for what felt like forever, Pangaea reached water that was shallow enough for him to stand up in. From there he waded to the bank. Now came the part of getting wet he didn’t like: drying off. He was pleased to discover that much of the water his plumage had been soaked with simply drained out once he was out of the water (evidently, like most birds’, his feathers had a water-repellent coating over them), but he was still far from dry.

I wonder if I can do that “wet dog” trick the LBT dinosaurs use whenever they get out of the water or mud, he thought. Trying to remember how he had seen Guido do it in the twelfth movie, Pangaea attempted to shake himself dry. He succeeded in sending droplets of water flying everywhere, but also managed to make himself dizzy through the exceedingly rapid motions of his head. “Okay,” he said dazedly, “this is harder than it looks.” Instead of achieving a rolling motion of his spine, Pangaea was shaking his entire body from side to side, which was not only far less effective at shedding water, but also made him look rather ridiculous. Realizing this, Pangaea secretly hoped that no one had been watching. He proceeded to walk to a more sheltered location among the trees lining the bank, and try again.

After a few more attempts to shake himself dry (by which time his feathers had probably already lost most of their water), Pangaea managed to pull off a reasonable emulation of the dinosaurs’ dog-like water-shedding technique. He found that the less he concentrated on getting the shaking motions just right, the easier it was to perform them. I guess it just comes naturally after you practice for a while, he figured.

Now dried off, Pangaea set off on his next order of business: finding some food.

Amy didn't take notice of anyone there, though she smiled feeling the wramth of the rays of the sun on her skin. She stretched out, doing some yoga poses, even poses she thought she would never be able to do, nevertheless been a flyer!

Ahh! That feels good!

Though she felt a little sad being away from home and away from her little guy. She even wondered if that part of time even existed anymore. If she and the others from the future were here, would that mean that period ceased to exist or was just stock-still?

Little Foot looked at Petrie and said, "I don't know, what do you think Ali?" Hoping to get Ali's attention.

-------
At the wall, Mr. Three Horn yawned, feeling tired from all the work. Then he said, "Well, I suppose we should get back to our herds."

He started to leave and a few others started to leave as well.

Petrie's mom was relieved that everything was at peace again and the kids were safe. Now that everything was done, she nudged Pterano and asked, "So Pterano, do you want to see your nephew and the other kids? I think they would be happy to see you."

"Indeed.  No reason to be around here if we are finished." Mim said looking around at the others before she went to a nearby bush to pull off a few leaves to eat while she thought where to go next.

"I think I'm begining to feel really hungry..." Chomper said, his stomach rumbling "Could we sheer away a bit? There should be a nest of stinging buzzers nearby..."

"It's fine by me" Claw responded.

Grandma Longneck agreed with Topsy as a yawn as she stepped away from the wall and looked around. "It would seem the wall is indeed fixed for now. i would suggest those of us who are hungry, should go and find food for ourselves. Others who are tired should find a place to rest."

Spike had just finished off his forth shrub full of treestars and smiled as he walked over to Ducky and gently nudged her hoping to get her attention and grumbled as if to say, 'would you like something to eat?'

Rick for his part incredibly had fallen asleep under the falls letting the water run down his back. Although he was sleeping peacefully his mind continued to ponder about his home in the future and if he'd ever see it again.

Longtail  was still having fun swimming in the water and continued to dive as deep as he could go on a single breath of air. While underwater this time however he smiled as he picked up a shell off the ground and swam back to the surface with it, and once  his head was above the waves he had to close his eyes from the bright, rainbow like glare that shinned from the shell in his beak.

Little Foot raised a brow as Shorty replied the way he did to Alli. How Alli responded was an understatement, she was ALWAYS shy, but Shorty?! Gruff, tough, and trouble making Shorty? Shy didn't even fit his description at all!

I wonder what's up with Shorty...
------------
Taking notice of Grandma's statement, Petrie's mom nodded in agreement. "Yes, absolutely. We should all rest up."
------------
Taking notice of Anna, Amy smiled a bit awkwardly and said, "Nothing much...just warming up."

Then Amy chuckled and said, "Well, you look like you're having fun."

Anna could not help but giggle at Amy's last comment.

"I'm happy anytime I'm in the water.  I've been like that since I was in diapers," Anna giggled.  "How 'bout yourself?  It looks like you're enjoying yourself, too."

"I am not hungry right now Spike, oh no no no," Ducky giggled in response to her brother.  "Are you having fun, Spike?"

Tricia got up and began to wade in the water where it was just belly-deep on her.

Meanwhile, Cera was still in her quiet place.  She had felt her mood shift, and she knew why but she felt she could not talk to anybody about it.  Cera was not sure why her mood had changed at that time.  She was with her friends having a good time, and there were no immediate dangers around them.  As she continued to think how none of the others would understand what was upsetting her, she drifted off into a snooze.
