The wolf frowned, "Really..." he looked a bit unconvinced, "well nice to meet you...I guess" he said. It was weird, having a conversation with Shere Khan's...mate?

From weird...to weirder. How could anyone love the tiger out for Mowgli's death, the wolf wondered.

"Well uh, I'm not in the habit of making trouble for females" the teen said, "so, good day to you ma'am" he seemed to stand down, but Khan noted how he was being all but snubbed.

This wouldn't do. He stepped forward, "Forgetting something..." he asked.

The wolf turned, "No" his simple answer...

Yet just as he said this a young teen bounded over with a frown, "What do you want?" it asked, "we don't have Mowgli with us anymore so I'm afraid if you felt like killing innocent children today your out of luck".

"...trouble" Khan finished his sentence to Allison before turning to the young wolf, "take my advice kid, go back home to your den" he said.

"I'm just gonna uhhhhh................... check out the rest of the area." Haeso said trying to come up with a lie to be on his own for a little bit.

He started to walk off.

Kyano on the other hand was not having anything of it. He knew this was a cover up about something.

He ran after Haeso thinking he needed someone to talk too.

"Hey Haeso buddy, something troubling you?" Kyano asked worriedly.

"He wants you to acknowledge him," Alliso told the teenage wolf, nuzzling Khan a bit more.

"I'm aware of that ma'am" the young wolf said, yet then walked off again with no intention of doing such.

A fierce frown formed on Khan's face and he had just leapt forward with a forming of a growl, when Akela stepped out.

"Trouble?" he asked the young wolf.

"No, he's just coming by" he indicated Khan and Allison, "with his mate".

Akela nodded in greeting then bent down closer to the young wolf, "Are you trying to make troulbe for the entire pack with the tiger?" he asked.

The teen frowned, "No Akela, but he...".

"Emotional grudges should be dropped for the sake and safety of all" Akela went on to the young member of his pack, "now appease the situation".

The teen turned, "Good day to you too...Sir" he said in a bit of a forced way.

Despite why, the youngster was still forced to pay respect to him, so Shere Khan was satisfied and turned, "Smart move Akelah, well we'll be moving on now".

Allison gave an almost friendly wave to the wolves as they left.

"Glad to see that issue settle itself," she smiled.

"Of course," Allison chuckled lightly, rubbing her stomach gently.

"I got an idea for a little game we can play while we walk," the tigress commented as they moved along "I compliment you, and you just listen and enjoy them."

Shere Khan smiled, "I like that game" he replied, then chuckled, "though I suppose you would deserve a few compliments back" he admitted, giving Allison a nuzzle.

"For starters, your voice is so smooth and powerful, it's no wonder you're a king, your fur is lush and the perfect colors, and you're simply the strongest creature in this jungle."

"Well duh, that's what friends means" Kautksi shot back. Yeah, something about that harsh outer layer was just her, Miko noticed.

"I guess it is very responsible of him to check the rest of the area" she went on.

"Yeah" Miko smiled, "very...responsible".

"And you are very smart to notice such" Khan smiled back, "Oh wait, I forgot part of this game was me just taking the compliments and not talking" he gave another charming smile.

Namita couldn't help still blushing a bit at Bagheera's nuzzle. It was just such a pleasant surprise to find he liked her back the same way she had and did him.

"Oh right" Namita gave a slight chuckle, "I keep forgetting how prone to wander Miko is, so that's probably a good idea" she said as they moved off.

"I think I spotted them heading this way towards the old ruins".

This time Khan did just smile, except for a slight "agreed, and you yourself are a strong enough female to be the only one fit to be my queen".

"Me? No? Nothin troubling me." Haeso quickly said. But Mico was not having any of it.

"I know there is something bothering you Haeso. I can't tell you what to do. But, since we're friends I just want you to know that you can tell me anything" Kyano said.

Haeso looked behind him . Kyano followed his glance and saw Katuksi.

Kyano smiled finally being able to put the 2 and 2 together.

Kyano takes Haeso out of ear shot of Katuksi.

"You love Katuksi don't you"? Kyano said with a smile.

Haeso just nodded slightly to scared to say anything.

"Yeah, I think so. I don't think I have a strong chance though" Haeso said quietly.

"And why not? Let's think about this she's always backing you up. It's apparent that she likes you. You're a cool guy Haeso. " Kyano said.

"I'm just scared to admit that I have a crush on her" Haeso said.

"Well atleast you bumped into someone who's not a total whimp like you're always calling me" Miko went on.

"Yeah, atleast" Katuksi laughed. She wasn't suppose to agree that much so Miko frowned,

"Point being, I...just think you two are so alike you'll probably be good friends".

Katuksi smiled back, "Aw, are you getting jealous that me having another friend means I can't tease you as much" she teased.

"No. Not one bit" Miko said.

Katuksi faced forward and sighed, "We have been friends a really long time, so...maybe it won't sound weird if I say...he's kinda cute too" she turned back to her friend.

"Well, girl talk like that always sounds weird, but other than that, no it doesn't sound wierd at all" Miko said with a smile, "Maybe you should tell him".

"Now, you're crazy" Katuksi stated.

"Maybe you should tell her how you really feel . You can't lose anything by trying" Kyano said.

"No, I could never do that and you have to Pinky swear to me right now that no one else knows about this, please Kyano." Haeso pleaded.

Kyano looked into Haeso's eyes and hesitantly shook pinkies with Haeso.

"I am not gonna tell anyone but, you should" Kyano said.

"Why should I make a fool of myself? Katuksi teases Miko so much it's obvious that she has a crush on him." Haeso said.

"I wouldn't be sure about that if I were you" Kyano said.

"and...well you've effectively made me not able to think anymore" Shere Khan smiled before kissing Allison back.

"What could you lose?" Miko went on asking Katuksi.

"One of the first cool friends I make thinking I'm no better than the rest of you babies!" Katuksi retorted.

Mowgli and the others had missed what the conversation the two cats were having was about, but he caught this and frowned. So did Miko.

"No offense" Katuksi amended without much success.

"Yeah, I'll try not to take any" Miko rolled his eyes before walking off.

Katuksi turned towards where Kyano and Haeso had been talking. Should she tell, she wondered.

When Kyano saw Katuksi turn towards them. Kyano gently pushed Haeso closer to Katuksi.

"Kyano what are you doing"? Haeso whispered nervously.

"I'm trying to help you. Just be cool Haeso there's no where you can go wrong" Kyano said.

Haeso nervously cleared his throat.
