The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Rio, have you any family?
Rio: Yeah. Or at least, I think so. Last time I saw my parents was when I was around... seven, I think. That was when I ran away - being used as a punching bag and an ashtray every single day wasn't something I could deal with anymore. For all I know, they could be dead by now.

Quote
Triste, how anticipated are you for the next chance to get to jump Vergil's bones?
Triste: On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say about 7.87. No, wait... 7.86.

--------------------------------

Emilena: How are you finding life off the force? Would you ever go back?

Soren - Are you planning on starting up a new workshop, like the one in Lanthae?

Soren: Why? Why what? As for a new workshop, I'd love to but I'm a little stretches for cash right now. As for what I'll do after this adventure, probably settle down and continue working on augments.

Anne: Surprised? Hell yeah! A hug or a nuzzle, I'd expect but so many kisses? Nope!

Ask my characters anything.

------------

Axel, have you ever done drugs?

Stripetail, have you ever met beings that were contemptous of non-magical creatures? How did they make you feel?

Emilena: Have you ever taken a bribe?

Emilena: How are you finding life off the force? Would you ever go back?

Emilena: I tried! Cornova wanted nothing to do with a Lanthae officer. It appears our reputation preceded us. And frankly, I would have been bored out of my mind anyway. Hardly anything but petty crime and minor drug runs in this damn city, unless you want to sign your own death warrant and jump in with the Triads. I've been forced to go make some crime because of how little of it I could find to fight.

Quote from: Serris,May 24 2014 on  10:28 PM
Emilena: Have you ever taken a bribe?

Emilena: Absolutely not. Back when I was a police officer, that would fall under the realm of 'negotiating', which I'm never interested in doing. The guilty must pay for their crimes. And now that I'm not a police officer, it isn't 'bribing' so much as it a business transaction.

----------------------------------------

Soren: But how exactly does it work?

Vergil: You've had some time to get used to your psychic powers. What's the full roster of powers you have, as far you know?

Stripetail" yes i have dealt with a number of magical creatures who have very little love for non-magical creatures. Mertavius, for example, despises nonmagicals, considers them utterly beneath him, and undeserving of existence. I naturally, vehementy disagree with him on that matter, and many others besides, its why we have been at cross purposes as long as we have.  as for what they have made me feel, well i've ended up fighting usually with them, as i disagree with their treatment of nonmagicals. i have come to have great respect for nonmagicals, like the pelvanida group, they can hold their own in a fight. but this quest is going to test them as nothing before it has.

Rio, have you ever committed a crime?
Rio: Well, duh. Let's see... Burglary, theft, possession, van... er... vandalism. Arson. Oh, and what's that other one called... Oh yeah, loitering. Stealing stuff and running drugs are my main things though, it's kind of how I... you know, live. You can't exactly grow up where I did and stay clean.

Broadstreet: yes, it has hampered them in many regards. i was one of the fortunate few to gain a job , and due to my reputation i was able to get a job at the same status as i had in lanthae. most of my men were not so lucky. the police force in lanthae was widely derided as being corrupt and useless, those that were allowed into the force often had lower rank and pay than they had previously.many of them however were rejected outright.

Marion: It was not an accident. Some fuckers from Serami Heavy Industries bombed my car while I was working for Zaloga Cybernetics. I was lucky not to have been killed but I lost all my limbs, broke most of my bones and was severely disfigured from burns Luckily, medical technology repaired almost everything. Aside from looking like a woman twice my age, I'm fine.

Chief Broadstreet, in Corona, how many of your former officers did you book when they got arrested?

Axel, your augments are class 1, right? If you could, would you upgrade to class 2 or even class 3 augments?

Axel: Yep, good old boring class 1 augments. Would I upgrade though... Probably not. I mean, for my work now, I don't need any extra strength or anything. And I probably don't need any weapons... Although laser eyes and gun arms would be handy for dealing with pesky customers...

-------------------------------

Soren - Have you ever thought about getting any augments, since your job involves working closely with them?

Nairda: Hehe, didn't really have a choice, did I? I'd follow Emilena to the moon. But I don't mind. Flora and Foley are really nice people once you get to know them, and they give me an audience for my music while I refine and establish my personal style. When I'm a famous rapper, I'll look back on these days and think of the friends I made!

Vergil: Well they're mostly telekinetic in nature, but I can also sometimes sense situations before they occur, if I'm focusing hard enough. Sometimes they'll just come to me, like random intuition. I can sense life energy as well, and if people's essences are leaving them or not. I also can apparently influence the minds of others, though this is something I've been too disconcerted by to really try. Typically I can make them see visions or transport them into a hallucination, but as said, it's not something I plan on delving further into.

Soren: I really don't like going to surgeons. I'll happily wear an HUD that lets me see in the infrared range or an exoskeleton that lets me punch a hole in a concrete wall but I won't get surgery to get implants that let me do the same.

Rio, what's your opinion on Augments?
Rio: I think they're pretty awesome. Come on, you're like half a robot if you get them! If I had enough creds to get one, I probably would.

Quote
Axel, how has being an Augment changed your life?
Axel: Ah, not too much actually. I mean, the eyes really come in useful if I'm working on anything electronic, so they've helped me out quite a lot. But the arms... well, they let me pick stuff up. And point. Oh, and most important of all, scratch myself. Apart from that though, they're pretty standard. But hey... just wait until I get rocket legs, then my life will change!

--------------------------------------------------

Soren - If you had to have an augmentation, what would it be?

Vergil - Do you have any memories of other people with the same level of mental abilities as you?

Emilena - Do you have a game plan, or are you following behind Lily and the others until you find more leads on her son?

Broadstreet; well its geared more towards white collar and corporate than Lanthae, which was more   along the lines of a poorer city- mmugging, gang related, carjacking and the like.. Corona is far richer city than lanthae, with more opportunities for advancement Thus when people break the law, the punishment is harsher.

Emilena - Do you have a game plan, or are you following behind Lily and the others until you find more leads on her son?
Emilena: Our current plan is to follow Vergil's team to each waypoint, figuring that eventually he'll run across Kalis because both parties are searching for the Cataract, and I've seen that movie before. Sure, the plan's not exactly Sun Tzu, but it gives us the best chance of reaching Kalis in a situation where his attention will be on more pressing matters than us.

-------------------------------

Tony: What was the last thought that passed through your mind?

Rio: Where's your family?

Soren: Can you conceive of any possible situation that would cause you to team up with Emilena?

Marie: What's your favorite color? Is it the same as Rose's favorite color?

Kaien: Any first impressions on the group members you briefly met? Which caught your eye the most?

Rio: Where's your family?
Rio: If things haven't changed, my parents are probably still sitting around getting high in some little shit-hole in the pissiest part of town. At least, that's what they did when I was there to help bring in shit for them to get high with. They're probably in the gutter by now, and I hope those dicks rot there.

------------------------------------

Foley - How did you fall in with Emilena?

Soren - If Lily hadn't interrupted, how far would you have gone with the attack on Rio?

Soren: Okay, if I had to be augmented, I'd probably go for bone reinforcement and maybe muscular enhancement as well.

As for teaming up with Emilena. Seriously, it'd have to be really fucking serious. As in, "world conqueror is about to take over" serious.

As for the attack on Rio. I dunno, I probably might have killed him.

Axel: Ah... probably not. It's tough to say how much I'd trust him. He's trying to help Lily find her son... but then again, maybe he's just in it for the kicks of hanging around with Emilena. He specially left all my important credit cards in the car, but he took my money and... well, ransacked the rest of our belongings. I feel like somehow there's some, ah... I dunno, rules that he set himself for me and Lily after we set him up for a couple of nights. Maybe it's just bullshit and I'm trying to see the good in him. I'm not sure, but it looks like he doesn't have any reservations about the others. But no... I don't think I'll be leaving him alone in a room with important stuff of mine any time soon.

---------------------------------------

Marion - Do you have a set plan in mind if you manage to find Tony?

Foley - How did you fall in with Emilena?

Vergil - If you somehow manage to deal with Kalis and prevent him from taking control of the warship, do you have any idea what you'd do with yourself then?
