The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I ain't got instant messenger

I'm just saying if things really get OT, especially in a thread where someone is looking for criticism for something they've done, its nicer to take it to PM, email, IM or whatever that to flood their topic with things that don't relate to what they're showing off.  ;)

I second that, in particular if it comes to topics really far from the land before time. There is no offense in asking for such matters to be done via email or chat. On the contrary, it may proove even more fertile for the authors to have a more direct exchange than is possible on a message board.

Titanosaur, you seem like the sort of person who would benefit very much from an IM program. MSN , Yahoo, and trillian are all free downloads.  Give them a shot  B)

Just search for any of the above; you should find a link to download them very quickly.

AIM Triton is also free.

Yeah, I agree with what action9000 says.

Do NOT get AIM Triton...see if you can find an older version like 5.9 or something....Triton puts so much crap on your computer and watches you, its not funny.  I put 5.9 on my roommates computer after I saw what Triton did to it.

I use AOL Triton and I have not experienced any problems with it.

If you want to connect to any user on MSN, Yahoo, ICQ ,or AIM, I'd recommend Trillian.  It's an IM program that can communicate with any of the above IMs, so you can add and talk to users who use any of them.
