The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Noname and Ratlady, I've added you to the interested list, and since it doesn't look like there are any other people interested for the time being, I guess I'll go with who we have now.

I will be compiling a calendar over the weekend, to be released sometime around Saturday. Watch this space... ;)

Sure... just awaiting the "start" signal when it comes... although given my schedule, I'm likely to come in last... very busy.  :lol

I'll be here intermittently over the weekend. Probably going to get last place. Busy time in my life.

You can enter at any time. :smile Since there's less than 10 people, entries will now stay open for the entire season, but new entries will need to officially declare that they want to enter.

Added ya... :D

Here we go guys... this is the calendar. Make sure that you are online on these dates if you want to win... :yes

GOF Forum Racing season 1
---SEASON CALENDAR---

Round 1: December 7, 2009
Round 2: December 16, 2009
Round 3: December 22, 2009
Round 4: December 27, 2009
Round 5: January 10, 2010
Round 6: January 21, 2010
Round 7: February 1, 2010
Round 8: February 12, 2010
Round 9: February 20, 2010
Round 10 (SEASON FINALE): February 27, 2010

I'm assuming most, if not all of you, live in America (except of course for excalibur)... so since I'm in Australia, races may just be started a day earlier than listed. That'll keep you on your toes...

:goodluck

Well what part of Australia do you live in?  So I can figure out the time difference between you and me.

I'm in Western Australia... that's exactly 12 hours difference from EST without Daylight Saving in effect.

I'm glad this game actually got off the ground. It was a little iffy for a while there...

I'll be here this weekend too.

Ummm, its 12:17pm here on the U.S. east coast, if Southpaw is 12 hours ahead of me that means its now December 8th were he is, but the race never started.

Maybe he's using the time zone that most members of the forum are on, rather than his own.

Correct. I've decided to make it easier for most of the field. :yes

Race 1 has started! Go go go go go... and may the best racer win.
