The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Oof... Yeah, I've been really busy lately, but the good news is: I have vacation for a week (+two days)!  :)
Yay!

Any chance you'll be able to complete another page of your Dawn of a Wingtail comic in that time? :angel

^ Probably... yes. :)

Hmm... wait, didn't I tell you guys that I update new pages only then when a chapter is completely finished?   I think it's also the best solution for this, but I'm not sure...

If Star was your roommate, what do you think the most interesting conversation you two would have would be?

Sorry for the late reply... D:

Hmm... how it is to be a Wingtail. Nah, I dunno... maybe talk about life, which person does what in the future?
Depends on the current relationship we would have. :) If we're 'more' than just good friends, maybe about our future together...

Nah! I don't really know. :p I'm not good at talking to girls in person. :oops :angel

Apologies if this has been mentioned before but:
When did you first begin to draw?  Is it something that came naturally to you or did you learn through Art classes?

^ There is no need to apologize.  ;)
To answer your question: The first time I really 'tried' to draw was when I was 14 years old. Me and some friends did a little group who were into anime/manga/drawing/gaming. Too bad I completely lost contact to them...  :(

But the part, where I really started thinking to become an artist was when I joined the GOF. ;)

Nope, I didn't go in art classes, it's something I taught myself. :^.^:

Sadly, I have not. The only book I've recently read was one for a school subject (The book was called "The Reader").
I'd really like to read a good book, but I guess I won't have that much time to spare and I don't know which I should read. :p

Do you think Star survives until the end of Far Away Home?

What do you think? OF COURSE I think she'll survive! :neutral

But I do wonder why you are asking this question...  :confused
So, Star forgetting to tell Sky about the egg in your latest chapter IS vital information like I said there?  :o
Hmm... I also noticed that she never appeard in the 'storytelling' parts with the children.

Ooohh.... I hope you're just asking out of curiosity...  :( I really, really hope. But if not... :cry

I have another drawing tablet question (as I've been thinking again about getting one): is there a particular brand, model, etc. of tablet you would recommend for a beginner?

Hmm... I'd recommend the Bamboo Pen from Wacom. Those are really good (and pretty cheap in my opinion), but you can use any graphics tablet for testing. :)
If you buy a tablet, please remember:

People who work the first time with a tablet will hate it to 95%!

It's because they are not used to, to work with a pen instead of a mouse. I hated it in the beginning too so don't worry if you don't like it at the start. ;)
When you get used to it, you'll probably work with it more often than with your mouse. ^__^

Thank you very much. :D Extra thanks for the warning about learning to use the tablet. That's very good for me to know. :yes

New question: Do you own (or have you ever owned) any pets?

Perhaps I have asked this before, but how do you think my interpretation of Sky in Far Away Home compares to your online persona?  Are there similarities that you like?  Differences that you don't?

Also, do you drink any kind alchohol?

Oh my gosh! Sorry for this huge delay! :o I'll answer your questions right away!

Pangaea:
Sadly, we don't own a pet. I would like to keep a dog as a pet, but my mother is allergic to animals. =/

Caustizer:
Unfortunately, I still haven't started yet drawing the revised version. Fortunately though, I have christmas holiday so I have the time now to work on it. :)

To your second question... hmm, they both have a strong will, They are very protective and caring towards their friends. Ha, they also love the crimson wingtail Star with a passion too. :) Hmm... that are all similarities I can think of.
So, while the FAH Sky is a teacher, a much more mature, calm and intelligent wingtail, the other Sky is slightly less mature, adventurous and quite shy.
I'm not saying that I don't like the differences, I actually like it that way that they are both still different from each other!
(Except you meant MY version of LBT Sky, not anthro )

And lastly, no, I haven't drunk alcohol before in my life. ;)

Rat_lady7:
Haha! Merry Christmas to you too!   :DD

Hmm... my favourite? I guess my favourite type of music is soundtrack. :)
I mostly listen to songs from movies, TV or videogames. But I also listen to japanese music from animes. :^.^:

I’m surprised I didn’t think of this question until Caustizer brought up that note about Glide’s crest in your art thread: :o

What are the wingtails’ crests made of? Are they feathers (as I’ve always assumed), supported by bone like Dilophosaurus’s crest and Stegosaurus’s plates, or comprised of non-bony tissue (e.g., skin, keratin) like chicken combs, iguana spines, and some pterosaur crests? (They could be either rigid or pliable in the last case.)

Also, are the crests in a fixed position, or can they be moved (raised up, fanned out, flattened against the neck, etc.) like many birds’ crests?
