Hidden Message Puzzle

I found this puzzle on a comic website:

I know that the ten symbols in the message clearly correspond to messages found on the door, and that those in turn correspond with one of two alphabets on the bottom of the door. I have also counted sixteen little black lines, which, when combined with the ten symbols, add up to 26, the number of letters in the alphabet.

Anyone have any ideas which symbols correspond to which letters? Once that is figured out, it will be a cinch to decode the message.

Beats me, but the Chris Hansen parody was epic. I unfortunately have a term paper due soon, and so could only ration 5 minutes of internet time, not enough to work on your puzzle. Good luck though!

Seriously, can you give me a hint here? -_-

I read the rest of the comic that's out so far, and it was pretty good. I can't really pick out the parts that really made it great.

Seriously though, I need a hint here!

I think it is like a Punnett square... but I don't have the time needed to complete the puzzle... :blink:
