The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Who is really the boss?

I don't know if this entirely belongs in this section but it could have repercussions on the future of LBT.  Universal as it existed in the beginning of LBT isn't around anymore, for a few years now it has been NBC Universal.  The controlling stake of NBC Universal is owned by GE (they seem to own everything these days) with the other large player being a company called Vivendi SA, which owns 20% of NBC Universal.  Now it seems there is going to be a change of hands.  Right now it appears as if GE is going to buy out Vivendi's stake then sell 51% of NBC Universal to Comcast, giving Comcast the controlling stake of LBT's owner.  Now this could effect LBT in no way what so ever but the fact is that NBC Universal will have a new owner with different priorities, and maybe even interests in resurrecting old franchise.
