Shelton walked past a group of scientists. They appeared to be the first ones to complete the registration process.
They saw him. "Hey, Simpson," asked the leader. "Want to come with us? We're going into town. They actually have a strip joint in this one!"
Shelton shook his head. "No, sorry, but I'm exhausted. Thanks for the offer, though."
Shelton reached his room and looked around. Kerzach wasn't there. That's all right with him, he needed time to think before he talked to anyone else tonight.
Even though it was late morning, Shelton shut his mind off and fell into an uncomfortable sleep.
