It's all good, mate. The story seems to have relaxed a little, and it's mostly just some character development going on at the moment.

The ship in that film doesn't have a main computer, but it does have a robot which fills the roll that something like HAL would otherwise fill. The robot called vinCENT never goes bad throughout the entire film. It was a Disney movie that was supposed to compete with Star Wars, but failed horribly in that regard.
