Deimos shook his head. "I smell something but I think they're gone," he said.

James passed out the smoked fish to everyone. "Eat up then we can go exploring the cave," he said.

Deimos nodded. "Let's eat then I'll get some firewood," he said.

"I'll go collect some as well," Cleve said, "We have to get as much as we can before the akywater falls."

"I'll go with you too," Ruby said, "because two is better than one."

"Coubt me in then," Chomper added.

"I'll stay behind and keep watch," James said, finishing off his fish.

"Not what I like but it's not like we have a choice," Deimos said.

He then waited for everyone else to finish eating.

Cleve followed Ruby and Chomper to a nearby forest. Fortunately, there were plenty of branches on the ground, and the branches all made great firewood.

"You know, hands are so handy for picking up stuff," Ruby remarked as she picked up a tree branch.

Cleve smiled at the remark and picked up a tree branch. Chomper soon came to help... with his arms that weren't little.

Deimos followed the three as well. He picked up some large branches.

"So what do we do now? Rest up and then head out tomorrow?" he asked as he picked up a large chunk of wood.

Petrie and Ducky went out to get some twings, picking up the ones they could and having Spike carry them back.

Deimos had several large pieces of wood in his arms. "All right, we done?" he asked.

Frank reutrned to the cave with four pieces of wood in his arms.

Dan had used the time the others were out preparing an area for a fire to lite in it and the usual safe area around it.

Dan starts assembling some of the wood gathered and a little of the stuff gathered by Ducky & Petrie to help start to fire and did his best to try to get a campfire started.

Cleve slowly followed Ruby and Chomper back to the cave. He enjoyed the air, but rain was comming.

Frank set the wood he gathered down and walked back to the entrance to the cave.

Dan got the fire started and stepped back. "There, that should give us some heat and light, for a while at least." He said.

He went to make some piles of the wood gathered.

"We'll have to stay here until the rain goes away," Cleve said, looking outside the cave.

"In the meantime," Chomper said eagerly, "you guys wanna do some exploring in the cave?"

"Sure," Deimos said, picking up his walking stick. "Erm, who holds the torch?" he asked.

James got up and readied his shotgun.

"I guess I can do it," Cleve said, grabbing a thick tree branch and sticking one end into the fire.

"We have some flashlights with us," he continued, "but we don't have enough for everyone."
