"Do you remember notice anything weird, like a bright flash, fog, or magnetic disturbance before you arrived?" Cleve asked, "And Frank, since you're in the air force, do you have any idea as to the plane that Dan mentioned? I guess I've too early in the war to know much."

"I did notice a flash of light before I came here while I was diving toward theground chasing a Me-109," frank said. "As for the plane dand mentioned I haven't heard of it."

James nodded. "I was chased by some portal of swirling blue light in New Jersey," he said. "Like I said, I never served in the military and I never studied too much about it," he added.

Deimos said nothing as he looked around the starlit landscape. The idea of time travel was totally lost on him.

"Those are definitely some strange events," Cleve said, "What do you guys do for a living? Maybe that can give us a clue."

"I work as a park ranger," James replied. He poked the ashes of the fire with his stick.

Deimos looked around. "So exactly what role do I play in this?" he asked. Even though time travel was alien to him, he had a vague feeling that he would be involved in this, somehow.

Dan shrugged, "I'm a doctor as you folks know." He said, not sure what else to add to the conversation.

James yawned. "Good call, I'll be in my SUV if you need me," he said.

He then went over to his SUV, entered and locked the door.

As he reclined the seat and drifted off to sleep, he wondered why Deimos paired up with them.

"I'm going to sleep," Deimos said. He then lay down by the fire and drifted off to sleep.

Cleve lay down by the fire. His mind was trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle. Unfortunately, he had no good explanation. He drifted slowly into sleep.

Not having much else to do Dan lay back down and relaxed till he eventually went to sleep.

The night slowly passed, and Cleve slept undisturbed for the rest of the night.

Deimos was the first to awaken when the sun rose.

He got up and headed over to the fire pit and got to work starting a fire with the flint he had scavenged from the area as well as some dried leaves.

Cleve was the second one to get up, despite the lack of good sleep he got last night.

"Did you sleep well?" Cleve asked Deimos, "Maybe we can get to meet the Great Valley dinosaurs today."

Deimos nodded as the shower of sparks from the flint ignited the dried leaves. He tossed some twigs onto the fire.

"I'll wait for everyone else to wake up then we'll have breakfast and head out," he said.

Cleve sat on a log, waiting for everyone to wake up. He watched the sunrise as it slowly rose from behind the mountains. It was a beautiful sight, but it was unfortunate that he was the only man who was watching it.

Dan awoke. He lay there a short time before he started to setup and look around to see how things were, who else was awake and what time of day it was.

"Good morning, Dan," Cleve whispered, "Sunrise in the Great Valley is a beautiful sight." Cleve pointed at the horizon.
