"Equipment and supplies will be very handy, especially since we have no idea how long we may be here.  How many of us have done camping, or have survival skills, or similar things, like stone knapping?  We may need to find out who knows what so they can teach some others some stuff." Dan said.  "And start working on a mental map of the area."

"I was on a camping trip," James replied, gathering up his supplies. "And Frank, could you and Cleve work on camoflauge for our cars?" he asked.

"Mr. Threehorn is a very protective Threehorn. He hates outsiders so I would recommend you stay away from him," Deimos said to Cleve. He then turned to Dan and James. "I assume you will be fine without my help?" he asked.

James nodded. "I will," he replied.

He then walked out of the entrance to the valley.

Meanwhile, Deimos was using his stone knife to whittle what appeared to be a spit for roasting fish that they would later catch for dinner.

"I'm sure we'll be fine.  We likely won't be long." Dan said.  "He doesn't sound like much of a nice person." Dan said.

"I need an area with heavy trees, some branches and leaves, and some paint to properly camoflauge James and Dan's cars," frank said.

"I'll just listen to you, Frank," Cleve said, "The Navy's concept of camouflage is somewhat useless on land. I'll follow your instructions."

True to his word, he hadn't bothered to stay for Frank's entire recital on why he deserved respect.  Instead, Glide spread his wings and took off midway through and carried on with his business.

Something told him he would be seeing more of these strange newcomers...

Frank looked around and saw that the leaves were in a early summer color.
"Ok we need to some how mix paint so it matches early summer leaves,"

"We could try using plant parts.  I think that was how some paints were made.  Though other things were likely used also.  I'm no expert on paint history though." Dan said.

"You need plants for coloring something?" Deimos asked. "I don't know anything about it but I'll fetch Mr. Thicknose." He leaned the finished spit and stone knife against a tree.

---------------------------

James finally arrived at their old encampment. He began to pack up the materials that they had left from the previous night.

When he was done with that, he got into his SUV and started the engine. He then slowly drove to the Great Valley.

Dan left so he could go to where his car was and drive it over to where James had put his car and picking out stuff to bring with him to their camping spot and making sure he had the stuff packed as efficiently as he could.

"That sounds great," Cleve remarked as he helped clean the campsite of branches and leaves, "Who's gonna win the race to Berlin? And who's gonna fall next? Germany or Japan?"

"I'm not sure I hope it's the US and Britian and not the Soviets," frank said.  "As for who will fall next it will be Germany," Frank then explained D-Day, Operation Market Garden, the battle of the Philippine Sea, the battle of Leyte Gulf, the Battle of the Bulge, and the July 20 plot. "That's why Germany will fall next Japan well we still have two islands before we reach the main islands one of which we invaded yesterday from the time I'm from," frank said. Frank then explained how the Kamikaze corps started just after the Leyte Gulf battle as well as it's purpose.

Little did frank know he and cleve were being watched. "Ruby do you understand what those two strange far walkers that deimos brought here are talking about?" littlefoot asked while he and his friends watched from the bushes.

Quick sat in silence as he listened to the upcoming events. Is there a way I can stop these defeats?" Cleve wondered to himself. It disgusted him to think about how he might not be able to make a difference in the future events. "Do you happen to know of a ship called the USS Eldridge?" Cleve asked, "Have you heard of the Philadelphia Experiment?"

Ruby turned her head to get a better look at the two strangers. "I don't know Littlefoot," Ruby replied, "I've never seen anything like them, not even in the Mysterious Beyond."

Glide was indeed tired, and found a branch that was high and above the reach of any marauding land walkers to rest.  Before shuting his eyes he found himself thinking more about those strange new guests.  They were unlike anything he'd seen before, so despite their outward arrogance they were of interest to him.  Maybe he would pay them a visit tommarrow morning, just to check on them.

Deimos saw the arriving cars. Night was falling and their powerful headlamps were easily visible in the distance.

He snatched a small firebrand from the campfire he had lit and held it over his head.

------------------

James saw the firebrand and drove towards it.

------------------

A few minutes later, James pulled his car up to the campsite and turned off the engine.

Deimos tossed the firebrand back into the campfire. "So you made it," he said.

James nodded. "Yeah, I'll fetch dinner tonight," he said, rooting around for his fishing gear in his trunk. He returned with a fishing rod and a set of lures.

Deimos nodded. "I will accompany you," he said. He then turned to Frank and Cleve. "Frank, Cleve, James and I are going fishing. Could you keep watch other the camp?"

"Can we wait for Dan?" James asked.

Dan drove up behind James since the going was slower in his car since it wasn't made for offroad use.  He parked beside James' vehicle and got out once he made sure he had everything turned off.

"Hope we don't have to move them to often." He said once he was out.

----------------

"They are strange looking, but not dangerous, no they are not." Ducky said from where she was.

"They strange looking, maybe dangerous." Petrie said, scared of most new things.

"They do not have claws, no, no, no.  And the stuff on their head looks kinda like the tickly fuzzy stuff tickles had all over his body." Ducky said, remembering the person they briefly met and in the valley of mist.

"Possibly I have a few friends in the intelligence field," frank said. "Market garden has been the only defeat if you were wondering the other battles have complete victories for the allies," frank said.

"How about the Eastern Front?" Cleve asked, "They Soviets have had it harder than us. Wanna ask the 21st century guys about the rest of the war?"

It wasn't long before Cleve saw incoming headlights. He knew that James and Dan were returning to camp with their cars.

"We'll help guard the camp and unpack," Cleve said, "but do we even have enough fuel in these cars to move around anymore?"

Ruby squinted and looked more carefully at the new creatures. "These new creatures are new, but not dangerous," Ruby said eruditely, "Look at the size of their mouths. There's no way for them to catch meat with such small mouths."

"Ugh, but their shiny moving rocks smell strange," Chomper remarked, pointing at the cars, "I've never seen or smelled anything like them."
