*Okay, time to bring Artie back!*

Artie landed in the cave, seeing what had happened to Pterano and rushed to his side. "Pterano!" she knelt by him, taking his hand. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"Yeah," Pterano replied, groaning in pain. "I just need to rest for a few that's all." He smiled reassuringly at her.

*Well well well, looks to me like Petrie isn't the only worry wart.

"He keep saying that, but me not so sure" Petrie told Artie, somehow his slight shyness with some strangers, or dinosaurs he just met, being broken a bit by her seeming to be worried as well.

"Guys, don't worry. I'll be fine." Pterano told them. Artie stared at him suspiciously with a look that said, "You dirty little liar..."

"Turn around," she told him.

"Why?"

"I said TURN AROUND!!!" She snapped, sheathing her claws.

"Okay! Okay! Sheesh! Miss Bossy!" Pterano snapped back, putting his hands up in defense as he turned around.

"Don't you use that tone of voice with me!" With that, she slapped his back lightly, yet hard at the same time, sending more pain into the red flyer's back, causing him to groan in pain loudly. "Yep, you're back's hurt alright." She turned to the little flyer beside her. "Petrie, you stay and take care of your uncle." She then turned to Devon. "You go find tree stars for Pterano's back and I'll go find Harper and Fury. Cool?"

"Yes, mam." Devon told her. With that, the two flyers headed their separate ways, leaving Petrie alone with Pterano.

The red flyer smiled at his nephew. "So Petrie," He sat against the wall again. "Some afternoon, huh?" He chuckled, then groaned in pain due to the pain in his back.

Suddenly, Zin's massive head appeared at the cave entrance, with Redback and Tero perched atop it. Redback quickly wiped the last trace of blood from his snout and grinned. Tero simply glared blankly into the cave.

"Mayhaps we can help?" He said with a grin.

Redback slipped off his head and landed on the ledge, pulling off a length of the black grass that he wore draped over his head and body.
Spitting in his hand, he squeezed the black grass in his wet hand, creating a strange inky black substance. His hand dripping black, he advanced on the flyers.

"Here, Pterano. Turn yer back this way, I'll take care of it."

Tero followed behind him, like some shadowy Igor.

Redback grinned slightly as he got to work "Now, you see how Blackweed Brothers do things."

He liberally slathered the black slime over the flyer's back, kneading it into his skin, until Pterano appeared to have a huge black patch on his back.

"Tero, if you'll do the honours" He then said to his friend.

Tero nodded. Retracting a long claw on his hand, he jabbed at Pterano's back sharply. Pterano didn't even flinch.

"There we go. Completely relaxed. That's what the goo does to ya. Makes you lose all sensation where it's worked into the skin. You'll feel better for a while now, and you can do the rest."

**Jared smiled at Rinkus in the small cave. It was Rinkus's turn to fart..**

"Ok, Rinkus! Your turn!

Go ahead, buddy. We're away from Pterano and the others. They'll never find out.
said Jared, sitting right next to his pink friend. Jared pat the pink flyer gently on the back with a smile.

"I'm probably the stinkiest long-tail around, Rinkus..whether I fart by accident.. or on purpose.

But I don't mean any harm...it's just the way I am. I'm a big stinky beak! Ha ha! Heh heh!"
said Jared giggling as he wrapped a wing around Rinkus. He really wanted to bond a little deeper with Rinkus. He loved living with him so much!

What Jared wanted way down in his heart, was for Rinkus to adopt him as a son! He wanted Rinkus to be his dad more than anything in the world!

Jared was laughing so hard, when, his stomach gurgled and...*PPFFFRRRRRTT!* he farted again.

"Whoo-hoo-hoops!

Heh heh! See what I mean, Rinkus? I'm probably the stinkiest long-tail around! Come on, fart with me, buddy!

" Jared told to the pink flyer.

Rinkus was really like a father to him, and Jared wanted to bond deeper with the pink rhamphorhynchus. Jared loved being around him so much. The tan flyer was never ever going to leave Rinkus. He meant THAT much to Jared.

Petrie gave a small smile to what his uncle said, after all the confusing almost arguing with Miss Artie before she left. "Yes, it pretty big but then like you say, big stuff like this happen to you all the time".

His point brought up a lot of issues for Petrie and he hoped all these "adventures" of his uncle's weren't ever dangerous but then he had been ok up till now so he'd probably be just like he'd said before being banished, "Just fine".

As the sharptooth and other, silent, flyer came back in, Petrie didn't say much but backed up just a tad bit. They were here to help though, apparently. Petrie just watched, a little worried again, as the "procedure" but it all seemed to be fine.

"H-how you feel, uncle?" he asked after they were done.

"Much better, actually. Thanks Mr. Redback and Tero." he smiled at the sharptooth and flyer, who just smiled at the older flyer softly. "And yes, Petrie, stuff like this happens to me all the time. If not for Devon, I probably wouldn't have lived to see you again, my dear nephew." He smiled softly at his small nephew, staring into those worried eyes of his. Petrie was just the sweetest little nephew out there, now wasn't he? Pterano thought.

Fury was well aware that Petrie had turned back to check on his uncle to make sure he was alright, but he grinned at Harper as he turned his head and asked, "So are we still gonna race or what?! I've got an idea of what your face will look like when I beat you!"

"Oh...then, me have to thank Devon lots when he get back" Petrie smiled back. He couldn't imagine what it would be like if anything ever actually did happen to Uncle Pterano. It would be just...awful.

"Oh, you think so?" Harper shot back the challenge and was about to say more when Miss Artie appeared. She frowned. Of course she'd noticed the crash and Petrie turning back, but she hadn't actually expected Uncle Pterano to hurt himself.

"Oh, ok. I'll just have to beat Fury later" she still half kidded with a smile before following Artie.

Devon grabbed the last tree star he needed for Pterano. "Don't worry, Pterano. Your back will be healed in no time." he muttered confidently before taking off to the cave.

He landed in the cave as everyone stared at him. "I got the treestars. Are you feeling any better, Pterano?"

Fury sighed as he heard Artie speak. "Fine. We'll finish our race later. Besides..." he added with a smirk. "We all know I would've won." He then had an question he wanted to ask. "Wait, How did Petrie's uncle hurt himself? Isn't he supposed to be one of the best flyers around?"

Rinkus was rather nervous doing all of this, and he gave the younger tan long tailed flyer a grin, though one that was uneasy. "Heheh.... oh alright. Alright. I'll give it my best." he said. "I suppose I'm full enough." He had to admit, this was a rather unusual ritual, but he told Jared he was fine with it earlier, and as they were near the entrance of the cave, he figured it wouldn't do any major harm.

Letting loose with a lower sounding one, Rinkus breathed a sigh of relief. "Well... that one rumbled a little. Now um... Jared, when Pterano gets back, you won't... tell him about any of this... right?" he asked a little nervously, wringing his tail as usual.

"I suppose that leaves only one of us left then..." Rinkus said, looking over in a certain green flyer's direction.

Sierra of course was off flying aimlessly on his own. His head was a mishmash of different thoughts. His son WANTED to give him another chance? Why? And what made him think he even deserved a second chance, after how he'd treated his son?

It made Sierra's head hurt, and he honestly didn't wish to think about it. But he knew he had to... because this was a serious question. A question of whether or not he'd be given another go with being a father. Could he be... a better father than before?

After giving Devon time to hand over the treestars of course, Petrie walked over and tugged on the flyer's wing to get his attention, "Um, me have to thankyou. Well, me not have to, but me want to since Uncle Pterano tell how you saved him a lot and so...thanks for saving him so...he be here" Petrie glanced to the side a bit, this wasn't coming out like he wanted it to, but hopefully he'd made his point.

Fury had a point, Harper thought. "Yeah, or atleast that's what he kept telling us is that he's the best of any flyer anywhere" she said, curious about how it happened now too.

Devon stared at the younger flyer in shock. Sure he knew knew he was there for Pterano. But he didn't know he saved his life. He smiled softly at the younger flyer. "You're quite welcome, young one." He winked at Pterano, who winked back at him.

Jared looked at Rinkus right in the eyes, and promised.

"Don't worry Rinkus, I promise. I won't tell Pterano anything about this."

"That's right. Only one of us left." grinned Jared, looking over at the green flyer.

"Ok Luke, are you gonna fart?... Or are Rinkus and I too stinky for you?"

**Uh-oh, Artie's onto us! We'd better fly back to Pterano's cave after Luke farts, or we might get caught!**

Artie was the second to land in the cave, fallowed by Harper and Fury. "Hey, guys!" She noticed something was missing. "Say, where's Jared and Rinkus?"
