As Fury huddled against Artie in his sleep, he could hear her heartbeat, and the sound began to soothe his troubled heart. So much so that, after a few minutes he began to dream. Fury looked around his dreamscape, and was confused. His surroundings were stark white, but they felt warm. The kind of warm that brought his body peace as he sat down and waited for something to happen.
He didn't have to wait long, as several small lights began to shine in front of the glider. The lights began to join together and after a few moments took the form of another glider. Even before the creature spoke Fury could tell who it was.
"M-mother..." he cooed quietly.
The older glider gave a soft, motherly smile as she nodded her head. "Yes, dear. It's me, Soul your mother."
Fury slowly began to cry. He wasn't sad, or upset, or even happy... it was just a reflex action to seeing his mother again. "Mom... I know... I know my new friends all care for me, but, I just... I want to know why I feel so alone!"
Fury's mother giggled.
"My son, you only feel alone, because you won't share how you feel, or what happened to make you think that way. If you share your feelings then your heart won't feel so heavy."
Fury nodded his head in understanding but had another question. "I... I don't want you to think badly of me mom... but, I was hoping that-"
Soul cut Fury off as she spoke. "You were hoping that Artie would adopt you, and you don't want me to be angry about it." Soul reached forward and hugged her son tightly. "Your heart is strong and caring. Listen to it, and it will never lead you wrong."
Fury hugged his mother back, and he could hear her heartbeat and it made him smile in his sleep and curl up to Artie as he spoke softly, "Thank you."
