The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Itchy or Icky

I tend to spell him "Ichty" even though I readily admit that it doesn't read the way the name sounds in the movie. I am pretty sure I saw him spelled like that in the closing credits (though possibly only in the credits at the end of the German video tape. I am not entirely certain about that). It might make sense as a reference to Ichthyornis.

I've always thought it was Ichy. I think that's how it's spelled in the credits.

Yep, the credits' spelling is I-C-H-Y, which is pronounced the same as “icky”. His scientific name, Ichthyornis, is pronounced “Ick-thee-or-niss”, but I guess the filmmakers thought that “Ichy” sounded better than “Ichthy”, so they removed a syllable. A name that sounds like “icky” kind of works for his character, too, possibly implying that he is unpleasant and repulsive (which, from the gang'sóand Dil's :póstandpoint, he is).

Pronounced "pan-JEE-uh". Spelled with three A's. Represented by a Lystrosaurus.

I have to disagree there. It's clear in LBT4 that his name is pronounced as "ick-ee". If his name were spelled Icthy, then his name should have been pronounced "ick-thee", yet I don't recall him ever being called that. So I doubt Icthy is how you spell his name.
