Or even better, we smash the floating head's tbe and destroy both threats to earth." Patrick said, he intentionally said bioth threats bcause as far as he was concerned, Zordon was no better than Zedd. Zordon should of had their predicessers taking the battle to the enemy insted of waiting for the fight to come to them. Lives could of been saved, like his parents. " Despite what you and the other sell outs think, I am not a selfish jerk, in fact I created a foundation to help victams and the families of victams of monster attacks get back on there feet, someone had to, especiallysince Zordon doesn't care about the little guys those monsters step on. He only cares about his stupid privite war with Zedd and Rita. He's just as bad as they are." Patrick explained coldly.

"We're not sell outs," Rob defended himself and the others, "and you're being brash and unreasonable. What exactly do you think would happen if we went to Zedd and Rita's base? We have no idea what's up there, and its their home turf. We'd be walking into a trap. Besides, if Zordon's tube was already smashed before, yet he is still here as well as Zedd and Rita, then there's no point in doing it again. For all we know, destroying Zordon't tube wouldn't affect Zedd and Rita at all, and we would be done for." He didn't want to start lecturing at this point, but Patrick was going way out of line at this point. "

Zordon is not a threat to us or the world. Why do you think he chose us to be Power Rangers? He wants us to protect the Earth from evil! I get that your pissed about your parents' deaths, but you can't let that blind you from the fact that the world needs us now, and if we don't work together we will lose!" Rob had a feeling none of this was breaking through to him, but he at least needed to hear himself say it.

"As much as you want to believe it, it's not Zordon's fault your parents are dead. Zedd and Rita are responsible. Why do you hate him so much?"

Zordon observed as Patrick and Rob argued over their roles as Power Rangers, and he sighed. "Patrick is troubled indeed."

"That's putting it mildly!" Alpha complained. "He's so caught up with revenge that he's becoming selfish!"

"You must understand," Zordon reminded, "that losing a parent is the worst experience any human can face. Patrick lost both parents because of Zedd and Rita, and now this is his chance for revenge. While he has no control over his emotions, I sympathize with him."

"So what do we do about it?" Alpha asked.

"Patrick will continue to hold a grudge against us and the Power Rangers," Zordon explained. "In time, we will have to find a way to break through to him. I sense there is still a good person hidden beneath all that rage."

"I hope you're right," Alpha replied.

Rita was watching through her telescope. "oooh, it looks like at least 2 of the rangers are arguing. So they are not all best friends like the previous ones were. That should make them easier to divide and conquer, if done in the right manner." Rita said, talking aloud and thinking to herself also.

"Perhaps divide more of the team if they take sides and or have them fighting each other even." Rita said smiling at the idea.

How much did it cost the city to rebuild after those fights and the invasion of '98, alot. How many people lived in fear of giant monsters and robots, alot." Patrick said. "it doesn't matter who's fault it was, both sides are just as dangerous to this planet, Zordon might be the lesser of the two, but he is still a lose cannon who's so arrogent and paranoid, he won't trust the Elected, accountable, HUMAN leaders with the power and the technology to protect our world. That's why I hate him, He's just another alien trying to control earth's fate. Besides, earth got along just fine after he was gone. I doubt you'd belive that I helped a team of Power rangers before."

thats quite enough Patrick, you have obvious issues with zordon.. so why not give up your spot on the teeam, so we can find someone more willing to be a team player" tracy sad She had come up when she had seen the others and had caught much of the conversation. 'You are saying Zordon is no better than Zedd, when without his assistence Earth would have been conquered and enslaved many times over, if not outright destroyed. I get you have issues about your parents deaths, but you should blame Rita and Zedd for that. Zordon is not all-powerful Patrick, there are things he cannot control. and he has to live with the mistakes he has made, like the rest of us, he just has a much longer life than we do, so the mistakes may be more numerous just by virtue of his longer existence But if you are unwilling to trust him, and us, just turn in your morpher to Rob, so we can have Zordon pick someone else. I will not be teammates with someone who is unwilling to get past his own anger and issues and be a part of a team.. " tracy finished.

" Look here you pompuss pink Princess, Do you think I want to be here, I'd rather be helping the pentagon coordinate an global coalition againist Zedd and Rita. And despite what Zordon said, our planet has other means to defend itself besiding some arrogent alien who wouldn't know how to wage war if it was spelled out to him." Patrick told Tracy. " Ever hear of groups Lightspeed Rescue, the silver guardians. And another thing. I can already thing of several alternitives to a walking weapon of mass destruction you call a megazord. Specially designed Aircraft, Ground assault vehicles, and navies. they'd be more effective, and less expensive to produce and maintain, not to mention the fact they'd be harder for those giant monsters to fight than giant robots." Patrick calmly explained.

But you're not at the pentagon, and sending those forces into action requires an act f war and weeks if not months of preparation, when an attack by Rita or Zedd could happen in minutes or hours. Trust me, I know enough about our government works, its not speedy or especially efficient, but then again its not designed to be. " Tracy replied. " War is not pretty Patrick Vietnam brought that home only too clear, and our country has little patience for casualities or military reverses. Defeating magical being like Zedd and rita requires other magical beings Patrick. You fire a bomb at their moonbase they can block it. and you can stop being a pompous overbelligerent jerk wheneber you feel like it..

And any declaration of war would easily pass both the house and senate with a uninanimous, BI-partisan support and the UN would do the same." Patrick explained. "Furthermore, there is no such thing as magic. Zedd and Rita are clearly using Alien Technology that is so advanced, our feble minds dissmiss it as magic. Also as for me acting like a jerk. "There is no guarantee the Pentagon's attacks will be a success nor there will be no victims of crossfire..." - Canis said as he reached the group. - "... but I agree they might be an asset against this enemy, as they think we are the only ones who can stop them." - That last part was an attempt to try to reassure all parts of the discussion. As Canis is not fully familiarized with Earth's weaponry, he knows Earth's people cannot remain with their arms crossed.

Zedd laughed as he watched with Rita. "This is perfect! We can use this to our advantage. The yellow ranger is filled with hate and lust for revenge! We can use that to turn him against the other rangers, and with his help we will rule the world!" He then turned to Goldar and Rito. "You two take the Putties down there! Remain hidden until they are at a vulnerable point, and then ambush them!" He looked at Goldar specifically. "Make sure you grab the Red Ranger and teleport him to your dungeon!"

"It will be done my lord!" Goldar bowed. In a flash, he, Rito and the Putties disappeared in a flash of light.

Unfortunately, Tracy and Patrick were just not getting along at all. Rob could see why Tracy was getting upset about Patrick, but they still needed to learn to work together. "Guys, calm down!" Rob tried to settle the argument. "All of this isn't going to help us at all. I know you two can't stand each other, but Zordon chose ALL of us for a reason. Like it or not, we have to learn to work together because WE are the only hope Earth has of surviving Rita and Zedd's invasion!"

"As much as I dislike it, Rob's right. We were picked for a reason. And you know something, Patrick? I doubt that any conventional weapon short of a nuke could even hurt those monsters. Alien technology, Magic...whatever it is, it seems like the only thing that really works is the Megazords. Whether it be because they're the same tech or because magic is the only way to fight magic, I don't think that any military in the world could stop one of those things."

Canis leaned his back against a nearby wall. - "If we have the strenght to defeat these enemies, then we must learn to use it. Who knows? maybe someday, some of the knowledge Zordon, Zedd and Rita possess would eventually get in our hands, so Earth can truly protect itself against anything." - He then looked at Eric as he passes close to him and then, Canis sneezed. - "I hope you don't smoke too much Eric... sorry, I am just not a fan of cigarretes." - he said the last line not wanting to sound like he wants to give a lecture or anything like that.

Patrick glared at Eric. " Your forgetting chemical and Biological weapons. Besides, groups like Silver guardians used weapons that were fairly effective. Also the megazords are big and can be a liability as well as an asset." Patrick retorted. He then grabbed the ciggerillo and stomped on it before throwing it in an ash ray. "I don't tolerate smoking, and you better kick the habbit if you want to be a ranger; a ranger with lung Cancer is usless." Patrick said.

Rito waited with goldar, he was getting impatiant. "Come on lets get them goldie." He whispered to his cohort.

"Yes, he'll have some fun with him in his dungeon." Rita said smiling at the idea and laughing a bit. "And we can indeed use the yellow ranger's hate. Hate is so easy to manipulate & use if done correctly." She said. Rita laughed a bit at the idea of what they would do and that they would soon conquer the world and rule it. Then she went back to watching so she could see the event happen.

"While the silver guardians tech was effective, it had the drawback of being extremely costly and difficult to mass produce, not to mention that in no fashion was it as effective as the Rangers gear."
He retorted, pulling out a sucker.

Rob couldn't think of anything to say. He had hoped that this little walk would bring out some constructive conversation amongst his fellow rangers, but everybody was getting put off by Patrick's attitude. Even though he didn't really care for smoking either, he wasn't going to force Eric to quit if he didn't want to, but Rob didn't want to bring this up in front of Patrick. He sighed and placed his hand on his forehead in mild frustration. How am I supposed to lead this group if they can't stand each other? Maybe Zordon was wrong after all. Maybe I'm not meant to lead anybody. When they arrived at a park nearby, Rob felt like he had to say something to try and quell the group's dislike for each other. "Look everybody. I know we all have our differences right now. I know we don't all like each other. I understand everybody has either dealt with something terrible or is dealing with hard times now. As much as I want for us to be one happy group of friends, I can see that it won't come so easily." He really hated preaching to people, especially those that he didn't know very well, but at this point he had to try something. "Isn't there some way we can all put our differences aside and work together through this?"

"Allow me!" Rob spun around as Goldar, Rito, and a number of Putties appear from behind some trees. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important!" Goldar sneered.

"Didn't learn your lesson the first time?" Rob mocked.

"Foolish humans!" Goldar yelled. "You were lucky last time we met, but you won't be so fortunate this time!" He raised his sword and pointed it towards the group. "Putty Patrol! Attack!"

"Spread out!" Rob yelled as the Putties began to swarm around them. Rob quickly shuffled over to the side and dropped into a defensive stance. "This day just keeps getting better and better," he muttered. As one Putty threw a wild punch to the side, Rob blocked and followed through with a strong elbow to the chest. The Putty staggered back and Rob pursued with a hop-side kick, launching it to the ground.

"What can I say? some people are slow learners." - Canis put on a defensive stance too as he smirked. One putty tried to attack him, but Canis dodged the attack by moving to a side, he then took advantage of the moment to grab the Putty's arm and to throw him against another adversary that was approaching. He then gave a quick look at the others, hoping they would be doing fine.

Feeling a bit hungry John was on his way to a nearby juice bar area to get something to eat. He was on his motorcycle since the day seemed nice enough to not use his car. He was using his motorcycle, an electric type he had found online. He thought he saw something not to far off out of the corner of his vision and slowed to a stop to look in that direction to get a better view.
