The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

What is your favourite drink?

Ideally I have the impulse to write a long and boring post on Alexander (the Great) but I'll settle for more of the relaxation ones.;)

Question:
What is your favourtie drink?

Mine are:
-Water
-Various fruit juices primarily: Orange, apple and cranberry
-Beer: PanachÈ/Shandy- the Lemonade with beer
-Milk: Did you know they do chocolate milk now?  I'm highly disappointed that I didn't get my idea out straight away (relatively poor joke)  :lol
-Ice tea: Lemon...I have tried peach but   :x
-Coffee

I love pomegranate juice, virgin strawberry daiquiris, virgin pina coladas, mountain dew, banana milk, and orange/strawberry/banana juice (it’s three flavors in one). I drink mountain dew a lot, especially the extra flavored kind that has ginseng in it. I always drink the virgin versions because I don’t touch alcohol; it’s never had my interest. Pomegranate juice is kind of bitter, but I still enjoy the flavor and it’s a great antioxidant. I can’t really say I enjoy water much, though I drink it more than anything else.

Mmm, Dr Pepper.  I forgot about that one although I don't often get it.:)

I also want to include: Vimto (fizzy blackcurrant)- can you get that in US?  Or is it only England?

Also, I think I might have given off the impression that I'm an alcoholic....I swear I'm not...

I have been to dozens of gas stations, restaurents, stores, and so forth, and I have never seen vimto. I can't bet my life on this, but I say that it can't be found in the U.S..

I'm much of a milk junkie ;)
I totally love milk. Other than that I drink mostly water, one cup of coffee each morning, and an occasional orange juice.

Now that's a shame. I'd love to read your post on Alexander.

Huh, for me its the other way around. If its flat, I turn it away, if its sour, be lucky if it lasts three minutes around me.

Dr. Pepper hands down.  Unfortunately I can't drink pop anymore thanks to a dental condition. :( So I guess it's water now.

Dark beer, pear brandy, peach juice, apple juice for me. Although it's water 90% of the time (nevermind the other drinks are just water solutions of esters, alcohols, aldehydes, ketons and carboxylic acids). Sorry, the organic chemist couldn't keep his mouth shut.  :DD

In no particular order:

*Coffee
*Water: especially electrolyte-enhanced, Vitamin Water, and water with Propel powder added.
*Pepsi Throwback (no high-fructose corn syrup)
*Mountain Dew Throwback (same as above)
*Assorted teas: favorites are green, pomegranate, rooibos, black, and kombucha teas.
*Soy milk, unsweetened
*Assorted juices: favorites are orange, lemon ginger echinacea, cinnamon pear cider, cranberry, pomegranate, green goodness, and apple.
*Beer: favorites are Guinness, Corona, and Heineken.  Nothing beats Munich's beer, though.
*Wine: favorites are reisling, chardonnay, and white zinfandel.
*Liquors: favorites are whiskey (101 proof), rum, bourbon, and vodka.

Note:  Even though I have alcoholic beverages listed, I hope I don't come across as an alcoholic :bang.  I am an occasional/social drinker and never let myself get past tipsy.  Thought I'd put that out there so I don't create any false impressions :rolleyes  :p.

Why should it be weird if you drink alcohol? I know that in American culture there's less emphasis on alcohol than in European ones, but that doesn't mean you're assumed a drunkard. Here, I'm not afraid of being called an alcoholic, even though I think juice vodka is the best thing since sliced bread (how come I didn't mention this drink?). I drink alcohol every second Saturday, and it just helps me be even merrier than I am usually  :) (though I probably come across as a cynic when writing about global affairs).
