The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Anyone else snowed in?

I've been trapped at home for about 48 hours and going thanks to the 21 inches my area got combined with the damn snow plows having erected a wall of snow at the edge of my driveway while clearing out the roads. How about you?

Yes, we had more than two feet snow today, and I had to go out and shovel it. I've had a headeache since then, and that was from around 11:00am to 1:00pm, that's six to eight hours ago. :(
I've always got a terrible pain in the back of my head, and I hands were so cold that I could hold the shovel.

I did, my mom did more work than I did out there, she doesn't have a headache or anything. My spine also hurts to, maybe I shouldn't have bent over so low when I'd push the snow. :bang

Stupid plastic shovels. :anger

Not snowed in, per se.  Frozen in is more like it.  Been in the double-digit negatives the past three days.

Well, I managed to get out of my home after days of being trapped. It took a lot of shoveling all the way from my front step, my garage, and all the way down my longer-than-usual driveway, though. I had to shovel out drifts anywhere from a foot deep to as tall I am (6' 2"), and I had to clear out the wall of snow the plows erected at the edge of 'way when they cleared out the roads. I'm sore as hell right now.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I should probably mention that the reason I got snowed in is that I've moved out the apartment I had previously been staying which I mentioned in the "How you are feeling" thread. I'm sharing a house with a roommate to split down on rent. This edit is for anyone who read my entry on that thead and is confused as to why I suddenly have a driveway now.

Sounds like some places were hit pretty hard with snow.
