Howdy Ya'll hope ya'll had a great christmas week and now heading into the new year so whats not bring in a friday movie night to played at BronyNetwork3 to end in the new year with "Eddie Murphy: Coming To America" Starting @ 10:30pm, then @1am saturday morning, we'll be heading to BronyNetwork4 for the 5 hour MLP:FIM marathon with pony music videos (PMV'S), then @6am it's 4 hours saving the world with Doctor Who (Season 3). then @9:30am is the MLP:FIM Season 3 Pre-show where we catch up on 2 season 3 episodes leading up to the new episode. then @10:30am is the new episode of MLP, then finally @11am after the new episode is the entire day of MLP marathon. we hope to see you there and have a happy new year! ^^ (All Time Zones are in Eastern U.S. Time)

Anyways, let's discuss the latest episode, shall we?

Boy talk about being OOC! I've seen writers botch characters before, but whoever was assigned to this episode SERIOUSLY messed up with Spike! There is not one moment he is in character, if at all.

Another thing, Spike is not accident prone, but he may as well be the Goofy of the episode here with all that happens. He's just a plot device for the episode.

A big disappointment. I'm telling you now, skip it! You'll thank me later!

If anything good about this episode came, just know, Rainbow Dash is best Timberwolf.

I've not seen the episode yet, but I'll watch at least part of it to see what I think of it. I do find it annoying when the characters or a character is done wrong by writer, comparing that character to the way they are portrayed in other episodes. Also giving a character a power or powers they don't have but only once or a few times a season.

There are some episodes of season 1 I won't watch again. I've not gone over to see if there are any season 2 episodes. So I'm not one of those who blindly loves every episode of a series I like to watch.

I'll wait till after I've seen it to see what I think.

Overall I did like the episode. Though Spike is not that clumsy. That could have been either done away with with a script rewrite of those scenes or explained as a side effect of one of Twilight's spells she was studding and had not quite got the hang of yet, that for a few hours or so Spike would be more clumsy, but it would wear off. No spell could do away with it only time could.

I especially liked how Applejack got Twilight's attention when she was reading, funny.

As much as I enjoy the ponies, this has not been a very good season. Other than Too Many Pinkie Pies, Bad Seed, Magic Duel and the last episode, none of these episodes have been very memorable.

I got the season one set myself and after watching most of the episodes, I've noticed how different season one was from two and three. Season one really felt more adventurous and had better writing. The episodes didn't always take place in Ponyville. They've gone to Appleloosa, the Everfree forest, Canterlot, the Grand Galloping Gala, and now they've been, for the most part, contained in Ponyville. The writers have such a huge world with so much potential and they're not doing anything with it. Enough with Ponyville, have the mane six go somewhere else.

I'm worried about next week's episode now more than ever. I really hope this "villain reformation" gimmick doesn't actually become a recurring thing in the show. I can understand redeeming Luna and even Trixie but why Discord? Are Chrysalis and Sombra going to be reformed next?

On a lighter note, RD's novel sounds like it'd be an interesting idea for an episode. I hope this actually happens.

Maybe they could do the novel like they did that one in that one episode where Rainbow Dash was in the hospital. But she is telling the story to some others. That could be interesting to see.

Actually Animeboye, the next episode won't air for a few weeks. It airs on the 19th of January. To be honest, I'm expecting Discord to be pulling a trick of some kind. Him actually being reformed just doesn't feel right.

We'll see though. We'll see.

Hmm...Seems a little late in the season to go on a hiatus, especially since there's only four episodes left.

I really hope that's what happens. Having Discord become good just sounds like a really bad idea.

The Hub and Zap2it's synopsis: Princess Celestia tasks the ponies with reforming Discord, a mischievous spirit of disharmony, but Fluttershy is the only one who is willing to give him a chance.

Okay, from the synopsis of the next episode from various sites, I think I can conclude that it's not Discord who wants to turn good, but it's that Princess Celestia wants to make him good.

I wonder why though. :unsure:

On December 15, 2012, Jocelan Thiessen called this episode her favorite of the season "for sure."

Sabrina Alberghetti helped with some clean up on this episode and threw in one of her favorite background ponies; she's specified that it's not hers, but that "it'll stand out" and that "you'll know who it is when you see it."

I'm asking because I'm thinking of drawing them as ponies and I really don't have any ideas. The only one I can think of is Littlefoot's. I'd imagine something to do with adventure so maybe an adventurer's hat/backpack.

Okay, it's one thing when the episodes themselves are taken down, but parodies and commentaries? Okay, why are you attacking fair use, Hasbro? Are you trying to look worse than a certain company I'm not obligated to name? I hope it's just a mistake on their part. If not and they are doing it on purpose, this could be a problem.
