Am I the only one who wants Pinkamena Diane Pie (Depressed Pinkie Pie) to come back?
I mean, come on! That look, that attitude...THAT VOICE!!!

If straight haired Pinkie can make a cameo in Episode 26, I don't see why not have another full blown episode in Season 2. I don't know how, and I don't care, but she just HAS to make a return!

Looks like we will be getting a remastered version of the opening theme song for Season 2, so if you can barely stand Season 1's opening, just prepare yourself for Season 2 !

About fan fics, how do you deal with swearing it it? Do you use "world based swears" or conventional swears?

I just finished reading A Dark Sky and I must say that there was a lot of cursing. While it is justified (two of the main characters are a dishonorably discharged ex-Pegasus Guard and the other is an illegal racer with significant underworld ties).

Personally, I feel that standard curses work better in dark fics as hearing something like "Manure!" or "Horse apples!" instead of "s---!" tends to make me burst into laughter if it is a serious scene which defeats the purpose. Using substitute swears is okay if it isn't a dark fic.

On a sidenote for my gritty MLP fan fic,

I have settled on the name of the industrial city: Bridlehem (Bethlehem)!

Bittsburgh (Pittsburgh) will appear as another dirty industrial city.

Basically, it is about a the Mane Six stumbling into a smuggling operation and they have to stop it. Yes, it's a dark fic and it features two things I love in my stories: high octane thrills and gunplay.

BUT don't get your hopes up on it appearing anytime soon as I need to do some research on the characters and try to keep them in character.

You know what I did to cure my sickness for the opening? I listen to this music until I get the tune stuck in my head. After you get the tune stuck in your head, start singing along in your head. Then sing along out loud, and in no time, you will start to like the opening.

OR you can take the extremist way by watching the G1 Intro over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, but that is really suggested for those who want to really rid that sick stomach over the theme song. Trust me, the more you hear it, the more it grows on you. Happened for me that is.

Grimdark fics like Fallout: Equestria; I tend to let the words go due to the subject matter, but for lesser stories than that (Normal, Shipping, Comedy, etc) I believe that those substitution curses should be used. True, I can stand a few moderated "ass" or "damn" words, but anything beyond those two don't really fit.

Or once you hear or see the opening just starting jump ahead to after it. Or if you really want to take the time or know how, just edit out the opening and you never need to see or hear it again when you watch that episode.

Well, I've seen some new reports about season 2:

From what I read, it looks like the season's gonna start with another Elements of Harmony 2-parter. This time they face off against a villain called "Discord", who has apparently broken free from his prison.

Note, I said "His". It'll be pretty interesting to see a male villain this time.

A lot of people are speculating Discord is actually a dragon based on a 2-3 second clip aired in a promotional video on the HUB (The network where MLP is aired, unless you live in Canada, where it is Treehouse TV I believe)

You can see in the (sort of bad quality) image taken from that promo, Celestia and Luna are surrounding a white figure that looks a lot like a dragon. It's not set in stone, but just some speculation that everypony is making.

Well there ya go I knew season 2 is gonna kick off poorly. They're gonna male a more horrible theme song for season 2. That is a good start right there. But I will watch one episode of season 2 and see what I think of it,.

Well, IMHO, they are going to have to do quite a bit of work if they are going to have Discord top Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon is a pretty good villain when you get down to it.

So does that mean all subsequent seasons will start off with a high octane arc?

I have to wonder will this season be like the previous and do slice of life or do a new formula of high octane episodes?

I'm hope for a mix, since both formulas have their fans, and with 26 episodes, they ought to be able to appease both if they're smart about it, which the writers have consistantly proven they are.
