Another new episode has been announced

Straight from EQD:

Episode: Dragon Quest
Air Date: March 17, 2012)
Synopsis: Spike joins the Great Dragon Migration to discover his true identity, but it might not be what he really needs.

It'll be interesting to find out more about the dragons of equestria (maybe we'll find out why his egg was the entrance exam?).

Here we go!!!

SPOILERS POST!!

We start with Pinkie Pie doing a comedy style work out in front of the Baby Cake Twins. It fails to make them laugh. However, the crazyness that happens after sitting on some jacks does the trick.

EDIT 1: We get an extended version of the "Smile" song that was leaked weeks ago. We get greeted to Cranky Doodle Donkey at the end of the song and Pinkie's "Instant Friend" act fails. Now, she tries to make Cranky her new friend.

Oh, and on a side note, it's Cheerliee's Birthday!

EDIT 2: Apparently, wigs are cannon! Yep, Cranky has a wig, which Pinkie ruins accidentally. Also, we get introduced to Pinkie's welcome song and another song I can't quite put my finger on.

She even makes it up to him by getting him a new wig. During him unpacking though, Pinkie ruins a special book and he declares the NEVER be her friend.

More to come!

EDIT 3: Pinkie goes crazy trying to make Cranky accept her apology. However, he doesn't want it. Eventually, she gives up, and makes him reunite with an old friend of his.

Turns out, he was looking for his old friend the whole time and she just happened to be in Ponyville. The reuniting of a lost love is what it took to finally make him smile.

From there, Cranky accepts Pinkie as his friend and wishes to be left alone with his love. Pinkie accepts and we get the lesson and a final song.

The song was awesome!

It was that leaked song right? I knew it was a good idea not to listen to it until it comes in one of the episodes.

And also continuity! Baby Cakes and Rainbow Dash reading Daring Do books!

The episode was great! 4th wall breaking at it's finest

Definitely one of my favourites.

REVIEW POST!!

To be honest, up to this point, I really haven't truly enjoyed the "Pinkie Centric" episodes. However, this is one I have to make an exception to.

The "Smile Extended Version" song was really enjoyable. I actually found myself practically orchestrating the entire cast singing it. I'll welcome all the hype it'll likely get as this one really deserves it.

Not to mention all of the Pinkie Antics, despite being sorry for Cranky, I found rather funny. Thanks Pinkie, you finally hit the formula that can make me enjoy having you around.

However, I can't seem to pinpoint just who it was that voiced Cranky. I swear I know that voice from somewhere. I'll see if I can figure it out.

This is one episode I'll likely watch again, if only for the "Smile" song.

Okay everybody, I just found out something I need to discuss. Turns out that I won't be able to do my expected routine after next week. Why? Because on March 3rd, My Little Pony is moving to a new time. Here's the new time, straight from EqD.

1:00PM (Eastern Standard Time)

So yeah, starting March 3rd, that's when it'll be on. Unless my work schedules me late enough, chances are I won't be able to do it.
