Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Hey gang :)

I'm visiting France, leaving sundaynight. We'll be near the coast of Normandy, just 150m away from the beach. During the time I'll be there I won't have any internet access (except for maybe Wifi on my parents' cell phones).

I won't be counting the fanfiction votes until I get back. I'm back the 17th, the day that submissions for the fanfiction awards close. The last day to vote will be exactly 2 weeks later. I'll count all the votes casted in my inactivity when I get back home on the 17th. The last vote I've counted was the one by Pokeplayer984.

Also, don't forget to take plenty of pictures and get yourself a souvenir or two. :D

I presume that fanfiction writers can still submit their stories for the Fanfiction Award while you're gone; you'll just add them to the thread when you get back as last-minute entries?
