The shuttles lifted off and fled the skyland that contained Quicksilver Vault. The Spire of Winter was airborne in case Stripetail needed additional fire support.

Stripetail strode forward, and pressed his paws against the shield ' magi entri perm usa maralik' he intoned. ' the shield wavered and a small iopening in the shield appeared. as As stripetail went through it, he suddenly came under fire from the vaults defenses ' shieldus ' stripetail commanded, and the magical shield deflected the attacks from the vault, these were powerful magics, and stripetail had to keep gesturing to deflect the attacks. the attacks were drawing energy from the nearby river, and Stripetail realized in order to overcome the defenses he was would also have to draw from the natural magic in the area, would would magnify his powers greatly.'currenus' stripetail shouted in a cold and powerful voice, and the shield around him became brighter and brighter, and his staff glowered with a heat of a burning California fire. mana streamed into him, and stripetail began to move forward stripetail gestured and a beam of pure energy shot out from paws and came in contact with the magic from the defenses. for about a minute the mana moved back and forth, towards Stripetail and towards the vault, as the vaults defenses rallied against this intruder, and Stripetail in turn redoubled his efforts.' Eon had designed his defenses well, only an incredibly powerful magican would have any chance of getting in. ' vault of silver, i command you to open;' stripetail said in a clear powerful voice. but nothing happened.the spell would only work, apparently when the shield was down..

On the ship, the logistics group was watching Stripetail fight his way through the shield, which was trying to drive him off. ' remind me never to tick him off ' Tiger said, as he watched ' you didnt during the games ' Kitty replied. ' yeah well, why tick off someone who's paying you $100,000 and can do stuff like this,." tiger said. stripetail at this point was halfway through the shield amd the defenses were redoubling their efforts.

stripwetail's paws were a blur as kept pressing against the barrier he finally managed to overpower the defenses and he was now free to cast spells' sendar ' he commanded ' and a bolt oof lightning shot from his staff it struck against the side of the building and began chipping away at the vaults exterior. the shield around the vault was now starting to weaken and stripetail pressed forward, peppering the vault with blasts of fire lightning and ice, and his attacks were becoming more effective, as the power he was using outstripped the power of the defenses.' i'm nearly there' stripetail said his voice reaching carsons walkie talkie.

"Do you need additional support?" Captain Carson asked. "The Spire's laser cannon is charged and ready to fire.

The windows on the shuttle were dimmed to avoid blinding everyone inside with the sheer amount of light being given off.

In addition to the group, there were also some Spirarian soldiers clad in powered armor.

" this time the vault obeyed and a large door opened in the side of the Building. " Stripetail finally relaxed,. and the shield around him vanished. ' the vault is now open, he said, a strain evident in his voice.

"Move move move!" Captain Carson shouted as the tshuttles rocked from the magic shockwave.

The pilot swore as he wrestled with the controls and increased the engines to maximum power. "Come on! You can do it!" he shouted as an incessant beeping that warned of potential engine burnout.

Soon the shuttles pierced through the fierce winds and they began to die down. The shuttles extended their landing struts and opened their cargo bay doors.

"Let's do this!" Deimos cried from his position on the repulsorsled. The convoy began to move through the remains of the gate, skirting around the enormous crater.

stripetail entered the vault first, which was pitch black, due to the shield going down, his staff gave off a light showing him a little bit around.
- tiger , tgereess stitch agumin and agumina clung to thier replusorsled as they sped towads the opening in the vault. the two spyros flew after them, both were shocked at the level of power Stripetail had shown.'nice work boss' spyro-W said into his ring. ' Thanks spyro. i'm inside. i'm going to accompany you through the vault.'
How are you doing/ tigeress asked ' fine tigeress. thank you for your concern. Eon is no fool, he protected this place very very well. the only ways in are knowing his passwords, which I dont, or brute magical strength. i will probably need a couple days to rest after this level of exertion, its probably been millennium since i've had to use this much magical power' stripetail said.

"We'll split up," Captain Carson said into her radio. The dune buggy she rode followed Stripetail into the vault. The driver clicked the lights on and bathed part of the passageway in pale blue light.

"What is this place?" Dr. Zanasiu asked. Mr. Bigmouth stood on the repulsorsled. His rifle was slung across his back and he swiveled the repulsorsled's mounted spotlight to illuminate various arcane glyphs on the walls and ceilings.

Deimos rode on the sled with Tigress, Ms. Swimmer and the others. The spotlight was controlled by a Spirarian soldier.

The dune buggy with Nani, Zachary and a few soldiers followed them.

Deimos looked at the glyphs. "Anyoneó" He was knocked over by a blue bolt of arcane energy. More bolts began to pepper them.

"F---!" the dune buggy's gunner shouted as he stitched the air with .50 BMG rounds.

The soldier manning the spotlight turned to illuminate the air and found dozens of small helicopter-style drones. The soldier dove as he returned fire with his rifle.

(OOC - the helicopters attacking them are Defense Drones)

This is ancient place stripetail said, as he walked along, his staff providing light and illuminating the areas that wre not lit up by the buggy. ' the glyphs most likely date back to the very early days of skylands, although what say I don't know' he sighed, and took a deep breath.
- tigeress let forth with a blast fromm her horns and tiger let forth a blizzard from his mouth. spyro-W used lightning, Spyro-s used fire, the hall was lit up from the magic fire of the dones and the return fire of this group. Na ni took out a couple drones with well placed shots from her rifle.' Eon must have created them to protect this place' she saidm, yelling over the sounds of fighting.

Sara threw a spell ball at one of the drones, having remaining quiet till now. The spell exploded, bolts of lightning flying between some of the closest enemies.

Jason took out a star wars type blaster pistol and the balanced chakram, that he threw at another enemy.

"Shield of the Just." Gallantmon said. his shield started to glow. The triangles on his shield lit up one by one. Then a red beam erupted from the datahazard symbol on his shield, blasting outward.

Blackwargreymon used his shield to try to shield some of the smaller people.

"Cool, action that I can get into." Gomamon said,l warp digivolving to Zudomon so he could join the fight.

Ms. Swimmer dove to the ground as a bolt of magic missed her by inches. Despite how many drones the group had destroyed, they kept coming.

The gunner continued to stitch the air with machine gun fire, tearing many of the unarmored drones apart.

Deimos staggered back to his feet. The anti-radiation suit he wore was a bit scorched but he was otherwise fine. He reached for his .50 caliber rifle and dropped prone. He then noticed a small tower with an antenna poking out of it. The Utahraptor gasped as he saw a drone emerge from it. Sighting his rifle, he put three bullets into the device – which then promptly exploded.

Ms. Swimmer batted back a bolt of magic towards the drone that fired it, causing it to explode.

Mr. Bigmouth looked over the chamber carefully as he swiveled the spotlight around. "Hmm," he said, tapping his armored spacesuit's chin. "Maybe we're in the wrong place? It looks like this hasn't been used in centuries."

We should follow" STripetail made his staff glow brighter allowing them to see more, to the left an opening reflected the light of Stripetail's staff.

tiger and wargreymon teamed to destroy another tower. tigeress knocked a number of drones out, while the rtwo spyros lit up the rea with their attacks. the group had destroyed dozens of drones by this point, but more were still coming " destroy the towers Wargreywomon said to the others. ' nani took out a few drones with wellplaced shots..

Blackwargreymon & Zudomon aimed their main attacks at one of the towers, Gallantmon and Grani went for another tower, attacking together.

Jason pulled out a grenade launcher and started to fire off some grenades that were a mix of emp & shrapnel at some groups of drones to see if those would have any effect on the drones.

Cynder-W and Cynder _S walked together through the city park, since there were several people watching the groups in the vault, they were not needed and were free to hang out. the girls held claws as they walked, both seeming to enjoy each others company. they finally stopped in a cave to rest.
_ Stripetail guided his group to an opening, which revealed stairs heading downward ' hmm. best see where this leads' Stripetail said to the others-
Meanwhile Tiger Tigeress Stitch, nani, and the two digimon were starting to turn the tide of their group' Most of the towers were destroyed and only a few drones were left.

(RICMS Spire of Winter)

Dr. Kerzach quickly served up several catfish burgers. He had used his own mixture of spices that included cumin, turmuric and garlic. They were served on a fresh baked whole wheat bun. Fresh ripe tomatoes, romaine lettuce and avocado slices all from the greenhouse rounded them out. A side of extra virgin olive oil and sea salt (from Khan) baked vegetable chip medley (parsnips, carrots, radishes, potatoes and taro).

"Here," he said, serving a platter to Nick.

"Anyways," he added. "I'm gonna have dinner and then pick some fruit from the greenhouse."

He got out the wok and tossed in some oil, day old rice, soy sauce, tofu and a vegetable medley.

(Quicksilver Vault)

Jason's grenades proved devestating to the drones. The shrapnel easily ripped through their thin armor and the EMP scrambled their electronics so they either shot each other or crashed into various objects.

Ms. Swimmer launched a disk of lightning that reduced a drone to a pile of scrap metal.

"That's the last one! Onward!" Deimos shouted. Ms. Swimmer climbed aboard. Deimos hauled the body of one the soldiers who had accompanied them. The dune buggy led the way deeper into the passageway.

The Arkayan scientists had now finished the external examination of the two living planes. Unfortunately, their wings, tailfins and landing gear had been cut off and several technicians were examining their electronic "organs".

"Amazing, despite being inorganic life forms, these organisms have organs that correspond to those of carbon based life," a scientist said as he examined Rainbow's fuel pump.

The last of the drones had been knocked down by Dr. Zanasiu, Nani and the machine gunner in the dune buggy.

"So do we head deeper?" Mr. Bigmouth asked. He was now controlling the spotlight since the soldier previously manning the spotlight had been killed.

- tiger tigeress and the two Spyros were the first though as the group pressed down a long hallway with towering statues to thier left and right. one was a large dragon, another was of a large cheetah
ratchet came in through Stripetails communication wrist device ' aphelion says she has scanned the vault and says the signals from the planes are two floors beneath you. she also says the signals are starting to weaken. sending you a layout now.'. ' the blue dots are us' stripetail said turning to the others. we must keep going downward, he sent a communication to the other group. ' everyone, this is stripetail..
