Perhaps they entered that way..' he mused ' as for why no one heard anything. theres all sorts of bustle going on outside. it would muffle any fight going on .' Unless someone was right outside or right next door, they wouldnt hear it. " He turned and looked at Bigmouth " ok, we'll need to put out a missing persons bulletin. Contact Stripetail let him know. Send the notice to Ratchet and Clank too , they're local heroes they'll know what to do. "

Mr. Bigmouth nodded. "I've already alerted Captain Carson." He then switched over to Ratchet's frequency. "Ratchet, this is Bigmouth. Deimos has gone missing. We believe he's been kidnapped. Bigmouth out."

The Spirarian soldier looked at the window and the surrounding area. There was no broken glass or other signs of forced entry. "Unless they walked through the window or broke it and then cleaned up, I think we can rule that out."

Mr. Bigmouth then noticed a rock that had been placed under the bed. Using a specialized stick, he retrieved it and examined it closely. "I don't think this is an ordinary kidnapping attempt," he said. He then held up the rock. On its surface were the distinct, almost fluid markings of a magical rune. He held his tricorder over it and read out the results. "It looks like this was a silencer rune. It puts out a field of magic that suppresses all sounds within a certain area but it burns out after a period of time."

Captain Carson had already received the message. She quickly relayed it to Stripetail. She scowled. She ordered her crew to return to the Spire and hold a meeting with Stripetail.

Rainbow was parked at an airfield on Pokitaru. She had a full ordnance load but the living F-22 was mostly focused on basking in the sun and enjoying leisurely flights around the island.

She flexed her wings and all of her control surfaces as she prepared to go for another flight. She carefully pulled onto the runway and spooled up her engines as she prepared for take off.

Unfortunately, she didn't see the group of men hiding in the bushes near the airfield. As she quickly gained speed and approached, one of the men fired an electrified steel net, which was quickly sucked into her engine intake, completely destroying her left engine. Screaming in agony, the living F-22 quickly began wobbling as she tried to keep herself from crashing. Her manipulator arm extended as she tried to pull the net out of her engine intake to no avail.

It was then she saw a group of men approaching her. Growling, she fired off a few 20 mm cannon rounds at the group, killing a few before a EMP grenade lobbed at her knocked out her electronics and rendered her completely unconscious.

"Ace Hardlight maybe a hardass but he's got some great s---," a man said. "Like this mag-net launcher." He patted the aforementioned weapon.

"Yeah, now call in Chong and let him know we've got another," the leader ordered.

The officers smartly saluted and led Chong over to Deimos's cell. They arrived to see the dinosaur trying to bait one of the guards into entering the cell to attack him. "You guys have your heads stuck up your asses if you think I'm going to eat the s--- that Chong calls food."

A message was left for Chong's communications officers that they had captured one of the living planes.

Stripetail paused as his radio buzzed" Stripetail here.. ' his eyes narrowed as he heard Carsons message " get that room sealed off so I can investigate . Go around to everyone and give them tracker bands, so that the next time someone gets grabbed, we'll know. We need a head count as well. I'm heading to Pokitaru. the planets are not quite livable yet, as they are still drawing in more accretion material, but I would say they are 95% complete. They are also quite a bit larger than their namesake planets, there was significantly more asteroids and icy bodies than anticipated. Stripetail out.

I would check the arenas in the galaxy , many are known for getting "competitors ' through less than honorable means. "Fresh meat" they call it.. One by one the rings of the Omniderate glowed " Deimos has been kidnapped, I need everyone to gather together in conference room 5 for a head count . Everyone should stop what they are doing and head over there. Stripetail out."

Dixie had stopped at a ski lodge downslope and had found Kitty and Tiger making out inside ' Sorry to interrupt your fun, guys, but we have a big problem.' "But doesn't that just concern you guys? ' Kitty asked as she held on to Tiger ' Tiger desperately wants kittens and we havent had any time to .. er work on that. " Sorry, Kitty, love, but the head count includes everyone. We need to make sure no one else has been nabbed, or, if they have, how many.. ' Ok, Ok' kitty sighed getting out of the chocolate pool. " But you and I are going to have fun with our husbands after this Dixie. You know I cant say no to Tiger when he gives me that look. ' Kitty said as she changed behind a screen.' Can We at least get something to eat first ' Tiger sighed as he changed back into his attire, and drained the hot cocoa tubs. ' I'm sure food will be served Tiger. and plenty of it. Stripetail doesn't provide water and crackers at these meetings of his. And Kitty, we're going to have loads of fun with the guys after this matter is dealt with , I promise' Dixie said. " Hmm. A ski race?" Kitty smirked ' With the boys as the bobsleds?' Tiger chuckled. 'You're on , Dixie, But be warned I'm faster and more graceful then I look.'

Tiger was carrying the 4 kids on his back- he had found them just after Oliver had picked out his candy prize- an enormous strawberry lollipop. Flash and Mona had managed to get Tiger to buy them cotton candy. and Ollie had wanted popcorn, which the Father wolf had agreed to. the box was so large, all 4 kids easily fit inside. ' Thanks dad ' Flash smiled as she munches on some of her cotton candy ' No problem sweetie. But the Wizard has ordered a meeting, and everyone has to be present, so you kids have to be there too Your mom, and Luca, are headed there now, although they'll probably get there before us.." TIger said as Ollie and Mona munched on popcorn.

My food isn't THAT bad, Mr Deimos " Chong said a big grin on his face nonetheless. " You should actually be grateful that my men didn't put a number of holes in your head. Goodness knows you've caused enough trouble for me on more than one occasion, to warrant that. This is the second time in fact- first there was the Surf Point business, and now this little to do. But, I am under contract to provide living test subjects , and you may actually make some money out of it, if you live long enough. I do have a number of questions for you, most of them concerning that damned wizard. HOW did he survive using that Lens? I was told by everybody on that rock that no one could use the Lens without the gear and that anyone who tried with wearing the Gear, wouldnt even come within a thousand feet of the lens , before being turned to fine ash! How did he did it, Deimos? HOW?' Chong grabbed the bars of Deimos cell, his eyes alright with fury "Is there NOTHING that can kill that miserable furball?!?"

Captain Carson quickly touched down at Pokitaru. She quickly had some of her crew cordon off Deimos's room. Meanwhile, the other crew quickly fanned out and began searching for all the Spirarians. They decided to ensure the Mawashiians and the other refugees were safe as well as it was part of their job.

"Looks like our vacation's ruined. Again," Mr. Bigmouth said. He then looked at the stone that he placed inside an evidence bag. "And I'm almost certain I know who's behind it."

Captain Fairchild and the other two living planes were enjoying a leisurely flight over the sunny seas of Pokitaru where they could see the native wildlife swimming the crystal clear waters. When they received the emergency transmission, they wheeled around and headed back to the ship.

"Figure that one out yourself...or are you too dumb and incompetent without your green Squirrel butt-buddy?" Deimos leaned back against the wall in his cell, adopting a surprisingly casual demeanor. The mention of living test subjects just cemented his desire to goad one of the guards or even Chong to such anger that they'd enter and kill him.

He then pointed to several of the guards. "Do your mothers know about this? Oh wait, I forgot, your mothers are probably some anonymous space station whores."

One of the guards, a scarred up looking Giant Anteater approached the cell. "You got a smart mouth." He pulled out what looked like a rubber handle and pressed a button, causing a crackling blue-white plasma arc to extend from it. He cracked it against the floor, filling the air with the smell of ozone. He then approached the cell.

Chong tightened his grip on the bars , but then relaxed a bit, and smirked slightly " I highly highly doubt you'd speak this way to Lord Mertavius, Mr Deimos, if he were present. His lordship is not one to suffer such taunts. Particularly from a foul-mouthed mortal, who confuses guns for his private parts' He then turned and held up a paw to the Anteater indicating he stop ' Much as I would love to have the anteater here take several strips of bloody flesh from your smug hide, and beat you until you swallow your own teeth, my television contract stipulates that contestants have to be healthy enough to fight. And you WILL fight, Mr Deimos. You, and all your friends. You will fight, or you will die. Well, now that I think about it, you'll die even if you willingly fight, so you'll die no matter what you do.'

A grin spread over his face " Now I imagine this thought is passing through that peach pit that passes for your brain: 'Why are you doing this?' Well there's any number of reasons: Vengeance, money, thirst for Blood, all apply. but I think the simplest answer is : Because. I. Can." Chongs voice dropped to a low hiss. " and because I know the Seer is going to come after you. I honestly don't know why he bothers with you lot , I really don't. But , at least, you'll make a nice pawn in my little game with him. You see, when I'm done, even the great 'wizard' will be fighting for his life, in the Dreadzone.' Chong said.

' We're watching tennis actually ' Wendy pointed to the match her half of the table was watching ' " I dont know what you guys are watching. " We're just eating food and watching Goombella said. one by one the Omniderate and their friends entered COnference room 5, which was really more like a small theatre then a confeence room. there were everal rows of seats, and a hologram projector. STripetail magicked himself into view " alright everyone, just take a seat , or the nearest equivalent. WE need to make sure that Deimos is the only one who has beemn captured so far. Ratchet, CLank, Angela and Sasha entere and worked their way into the third row.

The conference room also had monitors that allowed the living planes to join the group as well.

"Present," Captain Fairchild said. Major Lockie and Lt. Martin also appeared on two monitors.

The Spirarian crew was quickly taking a head count as well.

"Wait, we're missing Rainbow!" one of the crew said.

Captain Carson quickly radioed Rainbow, using the frequency of her internal radio. No response. She kept calm but made a note of it as she continued taking count of everyone.

Kitty, Tiger, Arlene and Luca voted to be in group Dixie, which soon expanded to include Mona, FLash and Oliver. " Stay close to Dixie, OLiver ' arlene said, as Tiger the wolf dropped the kitten off by Arlene. vushu and Sima voted to form group PRidelands, with Kopa, naturally, taking lead. kOvu entered the convention hall and came up to his family " HEy , everyone, sorry I'm late, but the trip took longer than i thought ' he said.

"Yes mom," Oliver nodded respectfully as he stayed close next to the dog who their group was named after. They were already planning for what to do next.

"Could we go grab a bite as a group?" Ollie suggested.

"That sounds like a good plan," Kiara nodded, feeling her stomach rumble. "I could use some grub. How about the rest of you?" She didn't even have to look at Sima and Vushu to know how they would respond to this suggestion. The Mawashiian natives were usually very hungry, after all.

Zachary, Ms. Swimmer, Dr. Zanasiu, Mr. Bigmouth and Dr. Kerzach chose to be "Pelvanida Group" as was their usual custom. They all took the glowing bands.

"Looks like we'd better bring our guns," Dr. Zanasiu said.

"We'd better get permission from the government first," Mr. Bigmouth added as he fastened the band around his arm. "The last thing we want to deal with is a jail term."

Captain Carson chose her own group along with some of her higher ranking officers.

"We have internal telemetry antennas," Captain Fairchild said from the monitor. "There's literally no way to remove them without cutting them out of us."

"Furthermore," Major Lockie cut in via monitor. "We don't have wrists or hands...except for the small manipulator claws and those cannot be extended or used in flight."

Deimos looked around at the cell. It was completely bare except for a toilet. He sighed. There was nothing there that he could use as a weapon...except for his own body.

As Chong entered the hallway of the ship, he was met by one of his officers.

"Captain Chong!" she said with a sharp salute. "We have captured one of the living planes often in the presence of the Seer!"

Rainbow moaned slightly as she began to regain consciousness. She was inside a hangar of some sorts. As her vision cleared, she could see that several steel cables were fastened around her weapons hardpoints and secured to several anchors in the ground. Thick steel chains were wrapped around all three of landing gear and secured to the anchors. Her manipulator claw was also chained to an anchor point. Even worse was the the living F-22 could also determine that they had drained all of her fuel.

"Awake?" a mechanic said.

"What do you want?" the F-22 replied.

Captain Carson tapped her fingers on the desk. "If I may," she began. "The Spire might be safer, seeing as it can actually be locked down."

Dr. Zanasiu looked at the doors in the conference room. Despite being made of what looked like wood, he was certain that they were fireproof, bulletproof and probably securely attached, making them nearly impossible to breach. "I'm not sure. I mean, don't get me wrong, the accomodations aboard the Spire are good but they just don't quite cut it on Pokitaru."

"As you wish Captain." The officer then led Chong to the hangar where Rainbow was securely fastened to the floor.

One of the mechanics approached Chong with some papers he had gotten from scanning the living plane. "As you can see, Captain, the plane is identical to a standard F-22 Raptor with the exception of a manipulator claw, a computer core and a circulatory system that pumps an oil based coolant/hydraulic fluid. Its left engine was completely destroyed in the capture attempt. It currently cannot fly but we have it restrained and removed all its ammunition and fuel."

All a lockdown would do is buy you time' Nick spoke up' I put the Phoenix on lockdown when Chong attacked, and it didnt stop him from taking over the ship. the lockdown bought me just a couple hours and that was with security that cost me north of 1 million bucks. If you are a powerful mage, like Chong, there really isnt any security system that can keep him out. if you have lasers, he'll redirect them. if you have very thick metal shield doorm he'll cut through them. Captain, I had top of the line systems, and he utterly overpowered them. for a sufficiently powerful mage, they can go where they please, when they please. in the case of Deimos, the goons were likely magicked in the room, cast a Silence spell around the area, then overpowered him.

" they had to do so quickly " stripetail said ' this kind of runed magic is powerful but its of short duration. 10 minutes, normally, although the stronger ones can go up to a half hour. In the mages circles we call these ' Smash and grab stones ' you teleport in, use the stone, subdue your target , then bolt before the spell wears off. They usually teleport without the radius of the silence spell, so the victim cannot cry out for help. Or as in Deimos case, swear, threaten, and spit at them. The lad has a talent for foul language . I will analyze the rune stone and see where it was made, that should give us an idea of where Chong is operating from. As for where we should stay, we stay at the resort. We share rooms, and have hall patrols for security reasons. I'll go talk to the hotel management, they usually have dignitaries and heads of states here, so getting persinal security okayed shouldnt be a problem.

Install a self destruct mechanism that can be activated if the plane devaiated from a set course. set the self destruct to 10 minutes. " chong said. " that will stop any dea of escapes. " He then turned to Rainbow.. ' So, you are one of the Seer's living planes? Do you have anything to say in your defense?" Chong demanded

Rainbow simply glared at Chong. "Major Allison Douglas. Identification number 4525269." It was standard military protocol for POWs. Give only name, rank and serial number.

At the same time, she secretly activated her internal telemetry beacon.

PO started as he saw SCooby and dixie heading out of the conference room, and Po went over to them ' Heyb guys! Long time no see!" said the Jovial panda" What are you guys doing here?" PO said as Tigeress caught up to him, huffing from carrying the luggage. ' We're having a meeting ' Scooby said as Tigeress approached followed by the Panda King who was carrying a number of fireworks.. 'HMm. A young panda. might have promise.. "I'm going to find that handsome panda," Jing seeing Po try to get away from her father, and she began following after him. She wanted to give him a more proper introduction, after all, he was to be her fiance. "Excuse me," Jing said to those she stepped past to keep herself on Po's trail. She imagined squeezing him tight, feeling the flab of his form. She couldn't wait to try on the dating garments that the seer would make for them.

Tai Lung had to chuckle at the sight. "Seems our friend Po is engaged. They grow up so fast. Or, in the panda's case, they grow OUT so fast...." Monkey and Mantis laughed at the snow leopard's joke.
