"Excellent!" smiled the Medic. He immediately hurried to the infirmary's medical computers and began digesting the capabilities of the ship. The Nurse followed him.
Soldier saluted. "Sir, Private Jane Doe volunteering for immediate security detail, sir!"
Heavy nodded. "Soldier and I will guard together! We make good team!"

Sniper headed to the turrets. "Ah, I've experience with this model," he smiled, patting the targeting computer.
------------------------
Engineer was already in Engineering, writing up plans to increase efficiency and reduce power output. "Welp, this'll do..." was all he had to say.
"Mrr-mmph!" agreed Pyro, who'd followed him.
--------------
Scout raced to the bridge and immediately began hitting on the lithe young woman currently on helm duty. "What's up good lookin'? It looks like you're makin' a interplanal proton sweep, ya know I can finish those faster than you can say 'Bonk!' "
"'Bonk,'" she responded acidly, otherwise ignoring him.
Dissuaded, Scout walked up to Captain Carson. "Hey, you wanna get to Skylands? I can fly you there no problem. As long as Ms. Good-Looking over there is my co-pilot."
------------------
Demoman and Spy, meanwhile, had followed proper protocol by visiting the personnel officer and asking what positions were available.
"Um, well...we have two slots open in on-call boarding duty," the officer noted. "Hard to fill because boarding parties don't tend to live very long..."
"We'll take it, lass!" Demoman interjected.
"My skillset condones itself quite nicely to recon," nodded Spy.
"Um, excellent then," shrugged the officer. "We've put the ten of you in two adjacent 5-person bunkers. Let me show you, and you can inform the others when you meet them next."
