we need to holfd them off long enough or them to reach us ' Nick said ' turn the ring clockwise twice then press down on it ' it will send up a magical signal.. stripetail told me it serves as the emergency flare..a sos call if you will.
kerzach listebn to me stripetail said ' the phone can create a temporary shield around its user and anyone else within 10 feet of him.. however the shiekld wont be able to hold off a direct assault, its meant to buy time to escape. press the button that says 'emergency shield' it will activate within 5 seconds its on the lower left side of the phone. do it now..

"Gotcha!" Dr. Kerzach said, pressing the button on the phone. As soon as he did so, a shimmering blue shield radiated from the phone.

And not a moment too soon as gunfire and spells spattered against the shield. Drobot returned fire with his laser cannons, knocking a repulsorsled with a machine gun mounted on its bed out of the sky.

Dr. Kerzach threw his knife at a low-flying hoverskiff and to his astonishment, the enchanted knife suddenly turned into a pike made of molten metal. "What theó" The Cassowary shook his head as the knife reappeared in his hand.

cynder and spyro used their ranged attacks to counter the gunfire, which defected away from the blue shiels. gill grunt meanwhile was using his harppon to dug a passage in the back of the outcropping so the group could escape.
- a lousd siren woke up the omniderate, annd two by two they staggered out of their rooms and downstairs for a bleary-eyed breakfast..

Sunburn switched to a phoenix form, a bird made of fire, and did a dash at some enemies, burning some. Then he telported away, leaving behind some fire. He teleported to another location. He then started to breath fire at those foes that were near him, turning around to be sure to get all of them.

Dr. Kerzach pressed the emergency signal button on the phone. A red comet shot out of the phone and soared into the sky.

He threw his knife, which skewered an unfortunate flyer.

"How long do you think we can hold out for?"

Drobot returned fire as some bullets bounced off his armored wings. "I would say about ten minutes."

Lt. Martin saw a red flash in the distance. "There! It's the Phoenix's distress flare!"

"Go! Go! Go!" Rainbow ordered. "Full afterburners if you got 'em!"

A plume of fire issued forth from Lt. Martin and Rainbow as they lit their afterburners. Twin sonic booms rippes through the air as the two living fighter jets sped towards the desert skyland.

Major Lockie and Captain Fairchild pushed their engines to the limit as they flew after them.

"Stripetail! This is Major Lockie, Nick and Kerzach have sent up the distress flare. We are en route. Major Lockie out!"

The Pelvanida group and Captain Carson were preparing for departure. Shuttlecraft and drone fighters were being fueled up and armed.

Deimos, Zachary and Mr. Bigmouth were wearing heavy anti-radiation suits (intended for maintenence work near the ship's reactor). Nevertheless, they were still armed and ready.

Ms. Swimmer was confident that her constant low level exposure to magic gems and artifacts would render her immune to the planet's extreme magic field.

"Ready?" Deimos asked.

Captain Carson shook her head. "Stripetail and the others have to get ready first."

grab them as quickly as you can, then return to the ship.. Stripetail replied
- the mages chong had sent after nick and kerzach was firing magical bolts at the shield, which was, so far repelling them
- remind me to thank Stripetail profusely when we get out of this' Nick said as gill grunt kept digging he had excavated a hole about 5 feet high and just about that in width
- kopa grabbed a plate of fish, one whole fish for each of the four lions. Stitch was wolfing down pancakes, while tiger and scooby were waiting in line.." Eat quickly and then get ready we will be going out on the ground in 15 minutes Stripetail said.

Brooklyn, Gnash, & Velma were relaxing at a juice bar and heard their watches signal. Then looked around and went over to a secluded area.

"Something's up?" Brooklyn asked.

"It seems Nick and the others have been found. I though you may like to assist in keeping the opposition busy while they are rescued. I've turned on the transmat." Jason said.

"Great, let's go." Gnash said. The tohers got ready and they transmatted to the tardis. Once there they looked at Jason with Guilmon next to him.

"Glad you're here. Here's the situation you can see on the viewscreen.' Jason said, one wall showing a battle. "I thought to put us down near here and we can provide cover fire and battle, keeping the enemy busy while others rescue Nick and the others."

The ten mercenaries were standing at attention in the corner.

"Sound off if you're ready!" Soldier announced.

"Pony up boys!" Engineer replied enthusiastically.

"I cannot vait!" Medic agreed, loading his syringe gun.

"Let us begin," Heavy said simply, pocketing his sandvich and drawing his minigun.

Several explosions rang out as Lt. Martin and Rainbow flew by at supersonic speeds, strafing the thugs with their autocannons.

The disoriented thugs quickly regrouped and split up. Half went after the two arrivals while the others tried to penetrate the shield

Several shuttlecraft emerged from the Spire of Winter's launch bays and set a beeline for where the distress signal was located.

"All right, you know the drill. Grab Nick, Kerzach and any allies and flee. If you need to, kill the thugs but do not pursue them." Captain Carson adjusted her ballistic vest and helmet.

Deimos scowled but said nothing.

Ratchet piloted aphelion out of the cargo bay and headed out after the living planes. calculating trajectory' Angela said punching in commands into the computer.

Jason and his group morphed. Then they transmatted to the location. Once they were together Guilmon warp digivolved and went to fight. The others focused on attacking together. Jason had chosen to morph into a red old west sci-fi themed sort of ranger, so he had 2 pistols to shoot with. He focused on shooting at the same opponents Brooklyn (as a red mmpr) & Gnash (blue mmpr) were melee fighting. Velma (orange mmpr) used her bowcaster, standing beside Jason.

The shield fell under the relentless bombardment.

But before they could move, a hail of gunfire as well as Drobot's laser cannons chased the thugs away.

Captain Carson as well as Dr. Zanasiu, Ms. Swimmer and Mr. Bigmouth entered the little cave. "Nick! Kerzach get in!" the captain shouted.

"Finally!" Dr. Kerzach said as he piloted the sled out of the cave. There, he could see Deimos as well as some other troops and the living planes holding the thugs at bay.

One of the shuttles was a large cargo shuttle so the sled and Drobot were able to fit in.

"Is that everyone?!" Mr. Bigmouth shouted over the din of battle. Thanks to the suit's built in speaker, everyone heard him. A bolt of magic struck him, but the anti-radiation suit he wore shrugged it off. He retaliates with a burst of gunfire that killed the flying mage.

nick dove inside the cargo shuttle followed by guill grunt, spyro and cynder. ' what is this thing' cynder asked ' its a shuttle nick said.. words could not express how grateful he was at this moment..
