Thank you Captain. my team should be there checking in to stay on another floor. I'll be headed there myself once I finish meeting with Sveta and Tyrell. stripetail out.' he then turned to Sveta." in the world where my team is from. technology is a match for magic, so they have been able to hold their own against Chong . having me around, helps too. But in any event they have gained my confidence and trust.. i am confident they will be abkle to help bring Chong to Justice." stripetail said firmly.

Tyrell rubbed the back of his neck as he recalled how he had practically been torn apart by a hail of machine gun fire and . "Well, Sveta...their summon essentially ignored my Djinn Shell and nearly killed me. Not even the Chaos Beast did such a thing." He then turned to Stripetail. "What was that thing anyways? It looked like my soarwing only much bigger and it could spit fire like a dragon."

Sveta crossed her arms. "If you say so. So where will be be heading next?"

The Phoenix touched down outside Champa. Even though the Grave Eclipse had ended, the town had been reduced to rubble and none of the Champans wanted to return. Indeed, New Champa (formerly the Champa Camp) ad taken its place as a port city.

Several of the men got out and formed a defensive perimeter to ward off any attacks from hostile inhabitants or monsters.

Ah, You're refering to Captain Fairchild. Well hes a living plane, he can talk to you- normally in very salty language- and he has things called rockets and machine guns that can do great damage to anything they hit, living or otherwise. Being as powerful mages you have little need or use for technology, you are not familiar with such things. i use Fairchild, and others like him, for defensive purposes. Hes VERY good at that, I might add. You're lucky you had some healing abilities, on Earth.. well you'd be dead' Stripetail said. " Bullets, for instance, cant be stopped magically, all you can do is redirect them. Rockets, you can stop, as they are in essence larger bullets. Its the small ones you really have trouble with." He Paused "For now I need to explore the area around tonfon Get used to its geography and inhabitants."

Tyrell scratched his head. "Uh. So he's essentially a metal dragon crossed with a soarwing?"

Sveta scratched her hear with a hand as her muzzle twitched. "Might I suggest Port Rago in Morgal? It's home to some of the best craftsmen in Weyard. The inhabitants of Port Rago are descendants of the Exathi. As they lack Psyenergy or as you call it, 'magic', they may have supplies that might interest your non-magical crew."

The workers all saluted. "We already have an idea. But we need a few hours of preparation."

One of them had managed to steal the Summon Tablet for Judgement and presented it to Chong. He would have to use this as it demanded powerful magic.

A short range ballistic missile launcher slowly rolled out of the landing ramp. This particular vehicle had been purchased from a black market vendor on a war-torn planet.

Meanwhile, some of the Djinn had been imprisoned inside some drones where they would then be forced to use their magic to attack.

Still other drones were being outfitted with conventional weapons.

Two other workers wheeled out carts containing four caged Venus Djinn to Chong. All the Djinn drones were replaced with conventional weapons after someone pointed out that they were likely to be shot down by Stripetail's forces and they would essentially be handing him weapons.

Tyrell nodded. He smiled. "We got a dragon on our side! Let's see Chong handle that!"

Sveta's muzzle twitched. "Tyrell, he may be a dragon but Chong is an extremely powerful Adept. We mustn't get overconfident. Anyways, maybe we should plan with the others in that hotel?"

Chong may be powerful, but I am stronger still than he " stripetail said as he got up from where he was sitting. ' i've beaten him before, more than once in fact. But the guy is ;like a bad penny, he keeps coming back no matter what hole i put him in.." stripetail twitched his whiskers as he walked down the path which led into Tonfon, the hotel was in the middle of town and visible from the edge of it.

" the stairs were long and slanted at an angle, and after climbing 2 of them, the rookie was already getting very tired. " How many floors does this place have?' well not as mabny as the Inglorious Hiotel" cynder said as she climbed up the stairs in front of her>" that one had 10 floors.. This one looks to have 4 or 5. Luckily, the missile launcher hadn't fully deployed yet and it was wheeled back into the Phoenix's vehicle bay.

Furthermore, the camp wasn't set up yet so Chong's men didn't have too much to load into the ship. Just the drones and some magical artifacts they had pillaged from the ruins.

Panic set about Tonfon as the timer appeared in the sky. Several of the residents began to flee the city, assuming that was merely the destruction of the city.

"Is it the Grave Eclipse again?" Sveta asked as she watched the workers frantically dismantle the shield generator and wheel it out of the hotel. Mr. Bigmouth had opted to abandon the cart of food, seeing as it was not as important as the other equipment they had.

"The Spire of Winter is parked on the plains outside of Tonfon," Captain Carson said. "I can get there in five minutes with the Aestorican Glider but it'll take thirty minutes to lift-off."

"We may not have that much time." Mr. Bigmouth was shutting down the radio repeater and packing it away.

Spyro Cynder' take flight and head over to the spire of Winter. Tarrax, and Skylanders will be there tpo help you. along with Sara, Dulcy and samia, if we can reach them."

Mr. Bigmouth immediately wheeled back the generator and began working on it to strengthen magic instead of weaken it. This of course, necessitated sucking away magic from another spot, leaving a "dead zone". "I'll see what I can do!" He opted to do the hot-start procedure which ran the risk of producing a massive blast of magic radiation but since everyone here was a magical being and he was protected by an anti-radiation suit, he chose to take that risk. That and magic poisoning could be treated in the ship's infirmary.

Several other workers who had been present to help set up the briefing room, began wheeling equipment out to the Aestorican Glider parked outside the hotel. The radio repeater was still active to help coordinate rescue and evacuation methods.

The roar of shuttlecraft signaled that Captain Carson had signaled for additional reinforcements to aid in the evacuation efforts. Several several other Spirarian troops along with Tonfonese guards were helping with the evacuation.

"Stripetail, what about Tonfon's Royal Family?" Sveta asked as she wrung her hands.

"Stripetail!" the Squirrel mage's radio buzzed. "Captain Carson here! I took a shuttlecraft back to the Spire to get ready for liftoff. If we don't lift-off now, we may not be able to lift-off at all!"

Tyrell swore under his breath. He watched as the streets of Tonfon emptied before his eyes. A shiver ran down his spine. He watched the dune buggies and repulsorsleds...many with well-over the recommended number of passengers scream down the roads at speeds over 100 mph.

The Phoenix lurched as it rose into the Weyardian sky. There, hanging overhead in the clouds was the countdown timer: 45 minutes remaining.

The Lions ran up to him, still wearing their armor, Above them Spyro and Cynder flew off towards the spire of Winter, while Waregreymon, Wargreywomon and their passengers headed out to help with the Evacuations. Ratchet and Angela drove off after the departing Dragons ' We can use aphelions lasers to blow up some of the meteors' Ratchet said.

Several crew members ushered the Tonfonese into the ship and showed them where they would be staying. As there were so many refugees, they had to stay in either the parks or the streets of Winterville or even the hallways.

Captain Carson swore as she looked at the timer. Thirty minutes left and they still had fifteen minutes left before the ship's engines were warmed up enough for liftoff.

Sveta led the Lions to the Tonfon Royal Palace. The structure was imposing and regal as was befitting the home of the royals.

Several of the Tonfonese Royal guards looked at Sveta and then the Lions. "I am sorry but you cannot see Emperor Unan now due to the state of emergency.

Sure enough, the hot-start procedure of the jury-rigged magic amplifier released a massive burst of magic radiation but other than that, it seemed to be working fine. Mr. Bigmouth swore as he felt his skin catch fire underneath his anti-radiation suit.

He gritted his teeth and drove his repulsorsled to the Spire of Winter. He motioned for some Tonfonese to get aboard, which they did. He radioed Stripetail. "Stripetail," he said, audibly wincing between words. "The magic amplifier is online however, something went wrong during startup and I was exposed to a massive blast of magic radiation. I'm heading back to the Spire of Winter for treatment."

When Mr. Bigmouth entered the ship, he headed for the medical bay where he took off his anti-radiation suit, revealing that practically the entire front of his body had been burned.

He carefully sat on the bed as the orderlies and nurses carefully sprayed a healing solution over the burns.

Tyrell had paired up with some Spirarian soldiers to ensure everyone had been evacuated. There were a few elderly Tonfonese who refused to leave since they had lived here all their lives and remain here and take their changes.

"You don't understand!" Tyrell shouted. "Some super-powerful Summon is going to destroy Tonfon! If you don't leave, you'll be killed!"

"So be it." The elderly man hobbled out to his balcony and looked at the countdown timer in the sky. "I have lived all my life here and don't intent to ever leave."

Tyrell fumed as he left the man's house before the door slammed in his face.

The guard frowned and escorted them to the Royal Quarters.

Emperor Unan turned to the guard and looked up from his pile of books. "I had ordered you to not to let anyone into the palace."

Prince Ryu Kou got up. He was clad in the same armor as the Tonfonese warriors but his was more ornate as befitting his royal status. He looked at these trio. "Begone!" he said. "My father does not need interruption while he is trying to find solution to the crisis facing us!"

"Prince Ryu," Sveta said. "This is a problem that is from beyond Weyard. All we ask is a short audience with Emperor Unan."

The Prince scowled but stood aside. He glowered at the group of five.

Lady Hinechou called a servant to bring a tray of piping hot green tea.
