Vitani frowned as they saw all of what Damon had gone through. Sure, they'd heard of it, but to see it like that...

The lioness had been through alot in her own cubhood and on but nothing like that she realized.

While Hali had missed most of the past story of Damon, due to the grown-ups sheltering, she did however get that something bad had happend to him and since he was still a cub she thought of maybe getting to know him better and made to walk over nearer where he drifted off and maybe drift of near him, but Vitani halted her.

The lioness didn't want to give the wrong impression to anyone but still felt, like Kovu, that Damon was still a bit too jumpy and prone to snap into bad memories. Plus for his own sake he needed to ease into pride life.

"Come on Hali, let's get you settled over  here" she guided the cub over to another section of the cave.

"Why was Damon talking like he was talking to others bu wasn't?" Hali couldn't help asking what she'd been wondering over. Vitani frowned, she didn't have a good answer. "He...he just had some bad memories that were hard to...hard to forget" she tried to explain. She could relate on that front really, she thought.

((I got any idea for what we were talking about with Shere Khan being challeged so I'll just go ahead with it and hopefully it's not to reverse lion king or anything ))

While the others creatures of this jungle and even Shere Khan himself went about unaware of the threat looming over them, a sleek young tiger silently watched as a few birds fluttered past.

Shere Khan's sister had been taken by a group of humans and placed in what they called a circus where she had lived out her days. Her son, Exavier, captive born but always longing for the wild jungles he was told of had finally made his escape a while back, killing the ring master in the process before stalking his way over to the jungle his mother had mentioned so many times.

He wasn't here for a reunion of any sorts with his Uncle Shere Khan who ruled his jungle. He wanted the territory for himself, as most unthinking young adolescence got into their heads.

Still, keeping stealthy about it, Exavier slowly padded through the jungle looking for anyone he could get information from or clues as to where Shere Khan could be.

After snapping at and getting a few more mice, the rest were given a reprive as Kaa soon tired himself out, onlyl having energy for so much of a chase and more use to failer than success so having no stamina to continue on a hunt. He finally stopped chasing the mice and rested.

Namita smiled, "Well then he shouldn't be too big a challenge" she giggled. She knew Baloo and Bagheera were still more friends than Bagheera would ever really admit too and was happy that was still the case.

Sitting nearer Bagheera and resting her head down on the grass, she smiled up at him, "Well, all in all I can say I'm really happy I came back" she said.

Kiara coming over did alot to calm Vitani in a way, but...it was because she'd known deep down who it was who spoke but was telling herself it wasn't her that she'd felt the need to snap out her response. "I-I'm fine" she gave a small smile and tried to also laugh it off, "just letting ghost of the past..."

Kovu's words and then the air changing and those green eyes showing cut Vitani off as her focus seemed to zero in on them. Fear showed and then determination. She hunched her feet in closer to where Hali still took refuge under her. She almost told Kopa to take the cub to safety but wasn't sure how safe moving her really was.

Much as she wanted to answer what Zira said, she didn't, just watched what she could see of her, those eyes, for any movement. Thanks to Zira she was a well trained huntress and knew how to read subtle clues from sound and everything.

"Agreed" Vitani nodded. She agreed as far as she could with Kopa's statement though, whether she was able to communicate that or not. No, there was no reason to spread that kind of news and knowldge of the world.

Hali followed along right beside Vitani as instructed, and also because that was where she was starting to feel safest in her time here with the Pride. She jumped a bit at the lightning but wasn't really scared of it. No, what scared her was when that new, still sort of a cub, Damon, started jumping around and yelling slightly.

Hali made to walk over to him, but Vitani reached a paw over to stop her. "No Hali, let's...leave Damon alone for a bit longer he...", she couldn't think of a good excuse, "...doesn't need people crowding him" Vitani smiled as she came up with something.

 She forgot this though as the voice rang out from around the cave. At the words of weak and strong, and Scar's name, again a low rumble of a roar started in her throat, a roar to herself more; but then she was all but called out. Her and Kopa and the others.

"We aren't weak!" she couldn't stop herself from responding before noticing Hali curled in nearer her feet in fear now at this new voice. She bent to try to calm the cub and this made her forget her would be argument with a disembodied voice so she didn't continue with what she could have said on Scar.

((Just not sure what to do with Khan and Allison by the way))

This got Namita to glanced up, "It...it isn't!", she asked almost the same thing he did and had to smile a bit over this. Fitting with her shy nature she couldn't just be forward even with this information, but did allow herself to walk a bit closer to Bagheera.

"I just figured...with as great as you...are, after all these seasons you would either be taken or...the scholarly alone type" she smiled.

Kaa made quick work of the mouse and then glanced to it's fellows, "Anyone up to join him?" he slither charged into the lot of them.

((I'm going to attempt a jump in since you've still made reference too Hali. Here's hoping I don't just make a mess))

Meanwhile, Hali was more than exhausted after the fear and hurried flight of running from Pride Rock. Not that she'd been attatched to the place, having just got there, and as long as she was with these new lions who took her in, she was good, and she still had Ramiki...who was around here somewhere...

Hali made sure to stay close though as they moved through the rain. Blech, she hated rain!

Ada smiled as her father's words seemed to be, no were, accepting. She didn't know if she could ever explain to Pterano what a big deal this was, his being deemed "ok" by her father.

Sure there was some praise to her in that too, but she glanced this over in light of just being happy her new friend was ok in her father's opinion it seemed. She didn't know what she'd do if he wasn't...

She gave Pterano a smile to try and keep him reassured.

OOC: I could take him if you want/ no one else wants him. Just continue with him if you do.

Miko smiled up at Kyano, but didn't say anything since he didnt' want to give himself away in the hide and seek game.

Meanwhile, Kaa slithered along through the trees, as almost always, on the hunt for something to sneak up behind and swallow down. He would stay away from man cubs, though, he figured...that one had been trouble enough.

OOC: Sorry I've been so long away, but jumping back into what I have a chance of, I will pick this back up and bring Hali back in officially and thank you for pulling her along even when you weren't sure if I was coming back. But I am, back that is.

After everything, and just thankful their adventure hadn't lead to her being kicked out, Hali had curled up and slept mostly through the night, though she now stirred and stretched.

Opening her eyes, she remained where she was though, still unsure how much trouble they were in and not wanting to attract attention too soon.
