It was normal in 2 for Littlefoot---and the rest of his friends---to complain about being too little and wanting to grow up. LBT 11...is a different matter entirely.
First of all, like MarzGurl pointed out, that was wasn't just the usual kind rude comment that Cera made in the beginning. Yes, Cera can be a jerk. But tease Littlefoot about his size? That's beneath
her! And it...was
really weird, cause it came completely out of the blue. Nobody had
ever, not once in
any of the 9 previous films, made
any comment on Littlefoot's size. It's one of those weird, new concepts they sometimes give to a single episode of a show, in which a character is scared of something, really likes something, or is teased about something they were
never affected with before that particular episode.
I mean, Littlefoot is the largest of the group, and sheesh, he's a
kid! I mean, at least he's grown since he hatched in movie 1...wheras I...don't think Ducky really has since we saw her come out of her egg.
Anyways, after she has that whole speech about him being little and that "so long...LITTLE-foot!!" which makes me want to cringe,
Ducky pretty much offends him too!
Then we get the scene with the grandparents, where the Grandpa says he was Littlefoot's size once, and for a moment it seems the producers got their act together---and then the Grandma ruins it by saying, "Not at your age, of course!" Seriusly, Grandma Longneck? I personally wonder if you even know your own grandson's age. <_<
Later, Topps insults him as well. Well, this isn't exactly an out of character thig for him to do, but...he's never commented on Littlefoot's size before.
My point is, why was this brought in? It makes no sense and seems really stupid.
