The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Nice redrawing. :)  I don't really have much to say, except that your work has steadily improved over the last year and a half.  Keep up the good work!

Go ahead and check out my fanfictions, The Seven Hunters, Songs of the Hunters, and Menders Tale.

Thank you very much for your kind words of encouragement :) I'm currently working on a very tricky picture. The lineart needs to be very close to the original in order to look alright... and after two attempts, I have not yet managed to do that...  <_<

This is a work I'm particularly proud of even though it might not be the best of my works. I drew this for Pterano a while ago, when he was really down. By pure coincidence, the contest I was trying to do, had a theme about drawing things for somebody at the very same time so I could kill two flies at one hit as the saying goes :lol
Of course Pterano wasn't sick but the idea of Pterano (the LBT character) being sick and Petrie worrying about that appealed to me. The message is to keep fighting to get better and/or achieve what you want to :yes
This is the first LBT-related artwork that I created all by myself without using a reference (was only checking the anatomy here and there) which is the main reason why I'm particularly happy about it. I guess Flyers are the only species I can draw without references at this moment since an attempt to draw Ducky failed horribly :lol

Hope you guys like it! :yes

The next artwork will be an entry of said contest too (and LBT-related ^^) I only say: Remakes :smile

As soon as I saw this picture on the Caption This section, I knew that I must have missed one of your drawings. This is quite nice, Ducky. :)  Especially without a reference.  I can very easily see this picture being used as part of a 'Get Well Soon' card for any fan of the LBT flyers.

I was already thinking that nonbody noticed this because I bumped it off the front page right after I posted it  :p

As promised... remake time :p

I still didn't dare to colour the treetrunk :p The two looked so good that I didn't want to ruin the drawing so I left it all white :angel As you can see, I kept the outlines very unobtrusive. In the next dozen of drawings or so I will apply different ways of outlining as well as colouring :yes

Hope ya like it! ^^

BTW: This was basically a contest entry on DA. Redraw an old art was the task ;)

Nice redraw. Though forgive me for the nitpick, but I noticed Cera's eye lids are orange, when really there yellow like  the rings around her eyes. Also if you want better outlines. Do what I do and go over the drawing with a black pen before colouring it.

No prob. I'm happy if people point out my mistakes. In this case, I maybe shouldn't have paid that much attention to the colouring scheme on my reference picture :p

The way the outlines are in this drawing was my choice, actually. I didn't go over them again and I don't think it looks any worse then the drawings where I have defined the outlines a little stronger...

Thanks for your feedback :)

Well I was just giving a bit of tip and advice. Inking pics over helps me personally as it shows up on the scanner better and makes it easier to edit on Photoshop when I put them onto a background.
You just do the way you want to. Anyway as I said its a good redraw.

Nice picture & coloring.  I can understand your not wanting to color the log.  No biggie.  After all the focus is Littlefoot & Cera, and not the log.  And that is up to the artist also.

Very nice!  :) I totally understand your point about the log.  Especially if the focus in a drawing is on a few objects or characters in the foreground, then it can be wise to understate the other objects in the picture for the same of maintaining the viewer's focus on the desired focal point.

Very nice.  The shading is very good on this one and the colors selected are perfect.

Thank you very much! :)

I have recently discovered that I can give the picture HD resulution on photobucket which considerably enhances the quality of my scans :yes It also improves the way colours look imo... It's always hard to find the right level of saturation. Seems like I've decided well, huh?

Hmm. Forgive me but I have to I don't find this as good as your drawing of Cera bowing before Chomper.  Also which scene from which film is it  based from? I can tell its from one of the later sequels, but which one I don't know.
