Littlefoot looked at Longtail. "They can explain themselves , and now, or they go back to wherever they came from...Those are your options" He turned tiurning quickly on the two fast runners, who trembled under his glance. in truthg, he was terribly concerned about Ali, what Longtail had said about caused his great internal anxiety. Right now, Ali was the only creature he was concerned about, he had gone though this situation before, when he was a newborn, and Ali needed someone to confide in.."

Longtail was getting upset with Littlefoots attitude and retorted "Have you stopped to think that just maybe they've been sent here to look for or help someone.....maybe they're just passing though!"

"I know you want to help Ali, I can see it in your eyes, but you can't help her if you're being mean to newcomers!" said Longtail as he turned to Chomper and the fast-runners and said "Let's go find Rhett."

Both finally got a chance to speak and one thing did was and only thing was at Littlefoot "Who is Ali and Who is Rhett and we have no idea what going on around here and we just doing exploring so don't snap at us for nothing that we know about" Both Swifty and Leafty look really insulted by Littlefoot rude behaviour to them.

Chomper looked shocked he had never heard Littlefoot say something like that. But, he could understand fully that Littlefoot was really concerned about Ali. "Just give him a little break you two. His name's Littlefoot. And he's going through a really tough time right now. Ali she's the other Longneck. Her mother just died. And Littlefoot is Ali's best friend. He is really concerned about her. And Littlefoot's mom died when he was very little so this is bringing up a lot of sad memories for him. He didn't mean to be rude or lash out. He's just going through a lot of concerns. Trust me I know him very well ever since I was a baby. And I know Littlefoot didn't mean to be rude he's just extremely concerned for Ali" Chomper whispered to the two fastrunners.

"And Rhett he's another longneck. Nobody really knows about his mom or dad. Nobody even knows if he has a family or not. He can be kinda cocky and braggy at times. But deep down I think Rhett is just scared what other people think of him. He doesn't really seem to fit in so he pretends to be something that he's not really in order to make friends. But over the past few days he's really changed personality wise. Now, anyway Rhett he stayed with Ali and her mother's herd. From what I heard Rhett was a loner and Ali's mom let Rhett stay with the Wise One's herd. She's the leader of Ali's herd. Now anyway Rhett lied to Ali before probably because he really liked her but didn't really know how to tell her that. But he is really starting to change that. Now since Ali's mom died. My guess is Rhett somehow feels responcible for this and is extremely concerned because Ali's mom and Ali have been his only real family. Or so I'm told. Anyway, Rhett ran off in depression and nobody knows where he went. We want you two to come with us in order to help him. Rhett is so concerned about it I'm worried he's going to do something drastic and get himself hurt or even worse............."Chomper continued shuttering at the thought.

"We know how it feels to lose loved ones... specail family and friends" Swifty said almost not speaking loud enough in parts.

"Of course... family and those that taught us have been killed during our life time because of the sharpteeth." Leafty said also sounding hard on it.

"We seen so many go that it almost normal because it happens so much. Like last season we lost our uncle to a new back to faster biters with some others of the fast runner pack to them since they moved into that pass not to far from this Great Valley" Swifty said the going quiet at the end.

"And don't forget those two fast biters and the red clawed sharptooth that caused problems as well for our pack to find green food" Leafty also points out then look to the three "so you know our type of life..." Leafty's voice turn to a whisper both sitting down on the ground they letting out the real harshiness of their own lives

Longtail blinked his eyes, and then looked up at the sky, as he mumbled "Wow...I hadn't realized how late it's gotten." he then turned to Grandpa Longneck and said

"Okay, if you need me, I'll be in the Tree of Life." and with that he spread his wings and soared towards his sleeping place...

"Home..." both look at each other. "We not traveling back to our grounds in the dark! It not safe at night in the Myterious Beyond!" both said at once towards Grandpa Longneck, really affaird of the idea even travelling back to the nesting place which was near the location of the Fast Biters nest.

"We don't live in the Valley we live outside it and there is a fast biter nest near by our home and they can sure see better in the dark then us" Swifty points out.

"We wasn't suppose to be here... we was just exploring in the shadows since we was told that many dinosaurs in the Great Valley had mistaken our kind to being fast biters... how ever insulting it is to us" Leafty said and mutters the last few words.

Then they both looked at each and said together "Wait a minute, you not mistaken us for those vilote Fast Biters!" both gave a shocked and suprised look on their faces

Chomper looked across the valley sadly. He knew Rhett was around somewhere. It had gotten really late and Rhett was no where to be found he even had Petrie and Ruby look for him. Chomper couldn't believe this Rhett had never disappeared for this long. He understood that RHett needed space but the later it got the more worried Chomper got. "Mr. Grandpa Longneck sir there's a little bit of a problem. Rhett is missing......... nobody has seen him for hours now. I have no idea where he went. We need to find him. Rhett never disappeared for this long. Something tells me he needed a quiet place to worry about Ali. But the thing is I'm worried about him. Maybe he's in danger." Chomper said.

Meanwhile.............. Rhett had wandered to the watering hole. Ruby who was still looking for Rhett stopped when she saw Rhett sitting there sadly. She calmly walked over to him. "Hey Rhett"She said concerned for Rhett. "Hi" Rhett said sadly. "Me and Chomper have been looking for you for hours now. You scared the both of us half to death. Everybody's really worried about you Rhett."Ruby said.
"No they're not Ruby look I appreciate that you're always trying to be so nice but aside from you, Chomper, and maybe Petrie and Longtail. Nobody even cares. I can't really blame them though."Rhett said.

"I'm sure they care Rhett Littlefoot and Ali have so much on their minds right now that they probably didn't notice. Don't think they don't care about you Rhett. Look I know this is hard for you but.............." Ruby started.

"You just don't understand Ruby. Ali and Anna have really been the closest family I ever had. I never had parents I've been a loner my whole life. My own parents didn't even want me Ruby. " Rhett said crying.

"Now I'm sure there's more to then that I don't think any parents would do that just because they don't want you. Maybe they didn't think they were really ready to be parents and didn't want to let you down. You don't know the whole story Rhett. Right now Ali, and the others really need you to be strong for them. We need your help." RUby said.

"I can't help. Don't you get it Ruby? Everytime I try to help someone I fail miserably at it. I couldn't help Ali before and I can't help her now. I just don't want to let down Ali. I wish that Sharptooth had killed me instead. I deserved to die after all those months of being a jerk. Ali's way to nice to have something like this happen to her."Rhett said.

Ruby puts a consoling arm on Rhett as he begins to cry. "There, There, Rhett. I know how upsetting this is for you and we're gonna help you and Ali and Littlefoot through this together. You say you don't want to let Ali down. If you didn't you'd be there for her helping her through this. I know how upsetting a death can be but please Rhett don't blame yourself for Anna's death. Now, I know you're upset but wishing to die isn't going to make things better for anyone. You were never a jerk you were just confused. You were lost. You felt that was the right way to make friends because you never had any real friends before. But now I can see You've changed and really want Ali to like you as a friend again. I know you're upset but a friend would help Ali in her time of need. "Ruby said. "This is going to be a hard change but we are going to help you and Ali through it. But now we need your support to help Ali. Come on I'll take you back to your herd." Ruby said. As Rhett sadly walked beside her.

Longtail was heading towards his sleeping place, when he saw who Chomper had been looking for... "Rhett!" he called out to the young Longneck. As Longtail landed beside them, he noted the pink fast runner, and kindly asked "What's your name?"

At the same time he used his extrodinarily long tail to wipe a tear from Rhetts eye. 'This is really taking a toll on everyone here....I had no idea even Rhett would feel this bad.'

The Leader of the Fast Runners watched the sun set then look back to the blockaded area where the longneck laid just holding on and they managing to pull her back from death's hands and they knew it going to be a tough set of days to come. "Swifty, Leafty it not safe now to come home... I hope you two are doing alright in the Great Valley..." she was worried but she knew they was fast on their feet and good thinkers to figure something out.

Ali meanwhiled had staked out the place where and he mother had stayed during thier time in the Valley. Tommorow.. she would meet the first of the famalies who had shown interest in adopting her. She regetted asking Littlefoot's grandparents if they could adopt her, while they hadn't said no, she had embarrased them she could tell. The Old one had laid down rules for her to follow, always be polite, try and play with the kids of family, the usual things..

"And where would we sleep?" Leafty looked to her brother both whispering to each other trying to figure this out not only the shock that Grandpa longneck wasn't mistaking them like so many others have done before they had to find a solation to their little problem.

"It is really nice to meet you Longtail. But right now I have to get Rhett back to his herd. I'll see you later okay."Ruby said quickly. Ruby escorts Rhett back to Ali's herd. Rhett sadly looks down. "Don't worry so much Rhett we're gonna get through this you'll see." Ruby said softly to Rhett.

"No we won't . Nothing is going to be ok not after this" Rhett said turning around turning his back to Ruby. Ruby sighs.

"Con't you do something to cheer up Rhett Ruby?" Chomper asked.

"I'm sorry Chomper but for some people just talking to them doesn't cure the problem. I don't think there's anything more I could do aside from asking Ali to let Rhett stay with Ali since Ali and her mother were really the only family he ever had or at least that's the way he saw it." Ruby said.

"Can't you get Ali to let Rhett do that"? Chomper said.

"No, she'd never go for something like that. "Ruby said.

"But, I don't want Rhett to be sad." Chomper said.

"Neither do I chomper but it's really out of our hands now" Ruby said.

Ali slaid down and settled into her sleeping position. She was truly alone now...the large gap where her mother wpould be... it felt wrong, but it was something she would have to get used to... unless she was adopted by someone..

Rhett saw how lonely Ali was all by herself. "Ummmmmmmm Ali if you want I can sleep next to you tonight. I completely understand if you don't though. I just don't want you to feel like you're alone."Rhett said secretly wanting to sleep next to her cause he felt alone too. But if she wanted to be alone that would be ok with Rhett too.
