"I'll certainly keep an eye out for all three of you," Spikefoot chuckled.

The spikethumbs lie back down to watch the rain continue to fall. The group was soon met by Grandpa and Grandma as the longnecks swam next to them.

"I see you're all having some fun around here," Grandpa chuckled. "You're not hurt, are you?"

"I'm fine," Odon answered. "We still sometimes act like our kids' age."

"Hey, I found the hard fruit!" Goanna says as she tosses the fruit into the air again towards Cera, Tops, and Littlefoot.

Littlefoot bats the fruit with his tail towards Donna, who knocks it up into the air with her head to Jila and Sila.

Guan continues to watch the rain fall as he lays there.

Jila and Sila looked at each other with a smile both did a twist hitting the fruit with both their tails sending it flying high into the air so high that everyone was looking up at it spin in the air.

"That is good to know. the swim is always nice and healthy" Zila smiled looking at the sky as well "From what I know when it rains it lasts for a time but should be clearing before night fall. Don't ask me how it happens like that. it just does from what I was told" Zila said to them.

The others watch the fruit spin high in the air, some of them wondering if it's ever going to come back down.

Odon turns over to look at Zila. "I was wondering about that Sharptooth that we saw earlier. The one you call Chaser. I don't believe I've seen him before our herd left. How long has he been chasing you?"

"A sharptooth with a grudge..." Spikefoot thought. "Now that's something we never faced before."

Odon nods. "And the worst thing to have to fight is a sharptooth with an actual personality."

Guan looks over. "So the best thing to do is to avoid him at all costs?"

"Right," Spikefoot answered.

"I hope there are no more sharpteeth that are that smart," said Grandpa, with a bit of worry in his tone.

"Also he learns for his mistakes... so you can't do the same trick twice... it wouldn't work at all he'll learn from the first one and just wait out till you done the trick and strike... I know because I've watched him do it against a Threehorn... the threehorn fought him and lost tried the same move twice and with that long sharp snout... well you could guess what happened" Zila said to them.

Chaser looked up and down at his body thinking of something he tried it with the claws he digged into the rock he started to pull himself up slowly he got his feet off the ground using his claws to dig in the rock with him doing things like it before the toes and clawed hands was strong enough to with stand his massive weight as he started to climb up the cliff and surely he got his head just in view of the lake and looked around seeing hundards of swimmers "Now this isn't smart... I will not strike a large herd at this number it plain idiot thinking... Ah I see him" Chaser looked over at a island then he saw Odon look right at him with a grin Chaser shook his head showing that he isn't dumb enough to try a attack and start climbing back down back to the hard ground on the outside of the lake.

As Odon looks around, he suddenly sees the grinning face of the sharptooth they were just talking about just over the massive wall of rock that is shielding the leaf-eaters from predators. He continues to watch as the sharptooth disappears from sight behind the wall. "Speak of the monster," he said abrubtly.

Spikefoot looks over to where Odon was watching. "What happened? Did you see him?"

"He took a look over that cliff before climbing back down behind it," his brother replied.

Guan bolts up. "How could he have climbed that cliff so easily? He had to be bigger than most other sharptooth we've seen!"

"And stronger... he must of learnt a new trick... climbing with those claws he'll be able to dig those things in rock without even trying. but if he went back down then he being a smart ass... taking a good look around then knowing he can't get a meal without getting hurt of killed himself..." Zila said shaking his head "That sharptooth is so annoying... and hard to get rid off... I think he could of jumpped down earilar but I think he didn't because of the number of us" Zila looked at Odon and Spikefoot.

As Chaser was climbing down he saw a elderly Threehorn walking by he smirked and let go pushing off he landed on the old Threehorn.

A loud roar of pain from the leaf eater could be heard as Chaser landed on him and seconds later he grow quiet with the roar suddenly cut silent.

The adults (and Guan, who's a sub-adult) listen in fear as a cry for help from outside the wall was cut silent.

Guan looks at his father. "He...got someone out there..."

The roar of pain from something outside the lake was not completely muted when it reached the children on the shore.

"What was that?" Littlefoot asks.

"I thought sharpteeth can't get in here!" cried Donna as she hid behind her sister.

"The noise did not come from someplace in the lake," Goanna replied, looking around. "And I don't think it was a sharptooth...but it maybe involves one..."

Spike nearby also hears the sound and immediately buries his head in the ground in fear.

"A Sharptooth outside!" Both Sila and Jila said after one after the other which very annoyed Tops.

"Please stop that I heard it too and that was a sound of a Threehorn... that over grown sharptooth must of got him or her... so don't do do that twin talk... it rather annoying" Tops said to them

"Why"

"not?"

"We done it for most our lifes" Sila and Jila said first anfter each other then at the same time with Tops groans and laying down putting his front feet over his head with the kids around him laughing.

The young spikethumbs and Littlefoot couldn't help but laugh at Tops' remark.

The adults at the small island, however, weren't laughing.

"He's definitely out there," Odon said grimly.

Spikefoot stands next to his son. "Chaser may be dangerous, as Zila said, but he's not stupid enough to walk into a valley full of us. As long as we stay here together, he can't harm us."

"But what about the children?" Grandma says as she looks to the kids on the shore. "He'll be trying to go after them, as all other sharpteeth do at first."

"Don't think so" Zila said and all looked at him "THis one is different... Chaser goes for the strongest protecting adults first taking the main defence out he can have a easy picking of the weak and would go for you two... no offenisive but I seen him strike before and after the strong is hurt he makes them watch him kill the oldest dinosaurs knowing far well they are wise." Zila said to them now making it quite scary that this sharptooth was nothing like any sharptooth they seen before.

"What a monster," Grandma responded, worried.

"Even by sharptooth standards," Grandpa added.

"But still, he can't best all of us combined," Spikefoot repeated. "He has more than just my brother and I to deal with."

"Plus," Odon smirked, "he hasn't faced us yet. It's been many years since we have last met, old friend. Surely there has to be some chance that monster can be defeated."

Guan listens, but seems somewhat unconvinced as he turns back to the wall where Chaser was last seen.

the only chance is tricking him but it almost impossible to do it since he seen all types of tricks pulled against him... Chaser is very swift and even able to kill sharpteeth almost big as him. But he won't be able to attack us even he can when we leave. the leaf stuff will be on us and he will be sneezing just getting a few steps from us" Zila said to them "But we can't walk by or he will follow to the Great Valley and that all we need. that over grown sharptooth finding the valley and he will gladly find a way in and keep everyone almost awake through out the night and day making everyone sleepy then strike... he will think of the most sneeky and creepy ways to get a meal" Zila spoke about the sharptooth Chaser knowing a bit about him from the time that he been chased and watched Chaser kileld other dinosaurs.

"I hear you got a sharptooth problem I know one way to end it. heard of the curse of the Blue moon... if a sharptooth looked at it supposely they would turn to a leaf eater. I saw it happened with a small sharptooth" the old one comes over to them "I might be old and not many would listen to a old foul like me but the curse is pretty much real and guessing this sharptooth don't know about the curse if he just outside the lake wall. most sharpteeth knows and afaird of this land because of the curse" the old swimmer said to them coming up to the group from the water and stepping on the land dripping with water as the rain continued to fall.

The spikethumbs and the longnecks look to see the old swimmer climb onto the island, and make way for him to gain a foothold on the land.

"We don't see you as an old foul, sir," Spikefoot replied. "In our herd, we give great respect to our elders, and we shall treat you no differently."

"This curse of the Blue Moon comes as a surprise to us," added Odon. "So it is possible that the sharptooth knows nothing about it?"

Guan stands next to his father, listening intently.

"If he climbed up carelessly to look at the lake then he don't did you notice any other sharpteeth in the area? I guess not. since they already know of the curse and fear it. Just get him annoyed tonight and get him to climb up and the curse will do the rest" THe old swimemr said to them with a simple look
