The Insane Cafe 2: Rise of the Shurlups

Brooklyn and Odysseus focused on moving each bed out then the mattress, then the other one, then once those were moved out they next went to some of the furniture, moving one at a time out.

The Tourist continued to pick up the mithril and put it into his empty outside coat pocket, being careful of the sharpness. Ducky, Petrie, Snoopy, & Skitter helped to fill his hat, being a bit surprised that the hat never seemed to be able to hold so much.

"This is a lot and it is not full yet?" Ducky asked.

"Maybe it magic." Petrie said a bit amazed.

Zachary soon reentered the room. He was carrying the pen of Shurlups in his hands and his rifle was strapped across his back. "Hey Nick, where should I place the pen once we get out side?"

Strut then reentered the Cafe. "Nani, can we use your car to transport some of the stuff, like the gas cans?"

Wataru went out and moved the three bikes away from the cafe. Castle Doran was still standing there and watching the cafe with interest. Wataru wondered when the last time was that the Doran had gotten to spend so much time out of her hiding place and resolved to find a place where she might be allowed to wander freely from time to time.

Spyro scooped up a pawful of mithril and carried it over to Ducky and Petrie, dropping it into the hat and then circling away. Cynder flew past and deposited a cluster of mithril.

_ Nick went into the men;s bathroom. "time to come out' He said opening thesecond stall. "Ciome on.. I've found a few playmates for you. " The shurlup walked out with a growl. He looked thinner than he usually did, granted Nick didn't see him that much, but it looked like he hadn't been eating much in the past few days..that was probably due to the Shurlups outside, he had probably recognized their smell, and they had not let him interact with them. Nick Noticed a stratch on the Shurlup's shoulder. "So you tried to jin the orthers, and they rejected you, huh? Nick said. The Shurlup moaned in a low whine.

"You don't think he'll try to eat or harm those in the pen?" Ducky asked, "That would be bad, it would." She said as she paused in picking up some mithril to put into the hat.

Petrie paused in picking up some to see what was going on. "Is he friendly?" He asked a bit scared and unsure.

"Hopefully you'll have enough to put aside so if this happens again." The Tourist said as he put some mithril into the formerly empty pocket.

"This Shurlup " Nick said, coming out of the batyhroom, followed by the Shurlup. "Has been somewhat domesticated. He'll serve as the father to our little Shurlup family. How he'll react when he sees them, I don't know.. He's never been around Shurlup pups before.. We'll have to introduce them to his company, first, and see how he reacts.."

"And we'll be there to make in case he doesn't take to them," Nago said.

"Is it really such a good idea to raise them?" Cynder asked skeptically. "Won't they reproduce just as quickly as all of those other shurlups?"

"No, we're going to domesticate them" nick replied. "Shurlups mate so frequently because they have to, the more pups the better chance that their herd will survive. In a secure and safe place, the need to have so many isn't there. Of course there's no guarantee that once introduced to the female, he won't starting mating with her like there's no tommorow, but I personally doubt it. The other 6 Shurlups will provide all the company he needs.." BnIck replied

Dixie frowned as Sparx began to explain what he had seen upstairs in Nick's room. Privacy was an illusion with Sparx around, she thought..

"What are you going to do with a herd of domesticated shurlups?" Spyro asked.

"Maybe that zoo Stripetail mentioned earlier needs a shurlup exhibit," Cynder said, picking up a shard of mithril and tossing it over into the Tourist's hat.

"They could serve as busboys, er Bus-Shurlups" Nick said. "This is the Insane cafe, weird things happen here, that includes the creatures carrying your food around. At least this Shurlup doesn't eat the customers anymore.."

"Hopefully we'll draw in the custo,mers because of the food, not because of the sideshows. Under Chong, the only customers we got came here, because it was like watching a car wreck or a circus accident. it was horrible, but you couldn't look away.."

35 minutes" stripetail called out. As a judge his job was to watch the time and make sure Dixie didn't try to sneak out and then pop back in again.

"Just remember you promised me dinner," Sparx said. "Whether I manage to drive you out of here before the five minutes are up, or not."

"She promised to buy you dinner?" Spyro asked. He had stepped over to the closet to collect several pieces of mithril. "How in the world did you manage to do that?"

The dragon would have liked to have ignored Sparx for the rest of the day, but he couldn't believe the dragonfly had conned Dixie into buying him dinner.

"Maybe you'd need an illusion so they look like normal humans, unless folks here are use to non humans walking around." The Tourist said as he picked up more mithril.

Our regular customers come here expecting the unexpected, and those that leave here without having something odd happen to them, feel disappointed.."Nick replied. "Having shurlups serve them will be something new, even for them.."

Spyro shurgged and then realized Dixie couldn't see him. "Well, Mom would be upset if something happened to him."

"It seems to me they're used to having strange visitors," Cynder said. "But then again the shurlups look fiercer then most."

As most mothers would' Dixie said, nodding even though she couldn't see Spyro. Is Cynder with you? After I pass your time, which will be in about 4 minutes or so, I'll be heading out. I don't want to spend any more time with Sparx than i have, the dragonfly that marries him is in for a lifetime, of rude behavior and blackmail.."
