"Saw what?" Littlefoot asked and began to move to Blueberry.

Shera & Mim see where the others are looking and they look up in the direction in the spot as well.

Longtail stopped running when he realized that Blueberry had stopped running after him, and as he turned to ask why, he looked up and was stunned by what he saw in the sky. His natural question of course was "What...is....THAT?!" He was so stunned by the sight he fell backwards and landed on his tail, but didn't even so much as flinch in pain.

Cyrix then notices Mim and Shera are looking up and follows their gaze as well and didn't look stunned at all, he looked...happy as he watched the phenomenon happen

"Fascinating." Mim says looking at the think in the sky. She isn't the slightest bit afraid of it but finds it interesting seeing something new.

Shera is not sure of it but keeps her yes on it and edges closer to the 2 grownups.

Diver sees one of her brothers pointing at the sky and some her other brothers and sisters looking at something and she looks up also. "What is that." She says pointing, "I've not seen that before, I certainly have not." She said.

Rhyn looks up, "I do not know. But I am not flying up there to find out. It looks inadvisable to do that." She said looking at the thing in the sky as the 3 friends huddle closer together.

"I concur." Mia said looking up and hugging her 2 friends close to her.

"Wow...What is that...?" Littlefoot said, now he could see it too.

What they all had saw, was a giant black and dark purple lightning bolt. It had appeared from nowhere in the Mysterious Beyond. Then it was gone. As if it hadn't appeared at all.
It didn't even make any noise.
As they all stood stunned for a couple of minutes, something else started to happen...

Far away in the horizon, over by the mountains, were the bolt had dissapeared, the sky had changed.
It was very far away in the Mysterious Beyond, but enough too see over the Mountain ridge of the Great Valley.
A dark purple light... It was pulsating silently...

Zaine ha looked up with the others. "Wow, it looks really cool. I wonder what it is." Something tells me this will lead to another glorious adventure. Let's see where this goes. He then walked over to Blueberry. "Yeah, this kind of thing happens to you in the valley. You see things like this that you have no idea what it is, and then you strive to discover what it really is. I would really love to get an idea of what it is, and now I'm being repetative." He laughed and looked at his friend. Then he noticed the sky change and the purple light, and he grew a little worried. "What's going on? Why is the sky changing colors?"

But a bit scary as well, Chomper said.

Ecco went over to Blueberry, because he was the first one, who looked up into the sky. Blueberry, you know what that was?

Blueberry had to laugh at Zaine's comment. "Yeah, I know that feeling to." he said.
"I'd sure want to find out what that is... It looks mysterious...
And there was something strange with that dark lightning..."

"What was? I mean, it was dark?" Littlefoot asked.

"Yes, but...You guys didn't notice?"
"That lightning... Didn't come from the sky..." Blueberry started.
"...It came from the ground."

Zaine nodded. "I saw it too. That was strange, how it came from the ground instead of the sky. But what does it mean?" He stared at the sky with a perplexed look. "It's like the ground is pulling something down from the sky. I don't know how that's possible."

Mim took her eyes off of the sky for a moment to look over at Cyrix, "Do you think we should go and have a look to see what it is?" She asked him.

Diver looked at her friends, "What do you think. Should we ignore it, or go and have a look?" She asked.

"I'm not sure. If we do we need to call Blue-eyes' herd. It's not safe for us 3 to travel in the mysterious beyond alone." Rhyn said.

"Yes, if we do we should only go just into the mysterious beyond, then call for Blue-eye's herd. They are closer and may have information we do not." Mia said.

"Yes, that is a good idea, it certainly is. Let's do that." Diver said.

Spiral could tell that something was going on, but he couldn't really see what. Hmm...I must find out what it is! he thought, his curiosity overriding his sense of caution. He immediately got up, shook off the dirt, and headed for the treeline.

Kariya noticed this, and wasn't entirely surprised - she knew what happened when her brother discovered something he hadn't before. She quickly extricated herself from the hollow log and headed out after Spiral, catching up to him before he broke from the trees. Together, they walked out of the trees and into the open, looked around...then looked up.

"That's different," Kariya said. Looking over at Spiral, she continued, "You remember seeing anything like that while we were in the Beyond?"

Spiral shook his head. ::You?:: he signed. She mirrored his headshake.

"Hmm...Did any of the Brothers say anything about it?" Kariya asked.

Spiral thought for a moment, then shook his head. There's something about this...I can't tell what, though... he thought. ::There could be something to learn there...If so, we must go there,:: he signed to his sister, before turning slightly to get a better view of the light, studying it.

"But...it looks a bit...scary...don't you think?" Kariya said, her voice portraying the fact that she was indeed slightly scared of the strange glow.

Spiral turned back to her and smiled slightly. ::To tell the truth, I'm a bit scared about it too. But if there's something new there, I have to find it. Besides, we'll have each other!:: he signed.

"You're right...We'll have each other. Together is better!" she exclaimed, tapping his fist with hers. The fact that there were others around had slipped their minds for the moment...

Cyrix looked down to face Mim and said "I believe it is the right move to make, however should we allow the young ones to accompany us or not? I don't want to risk their safety for something silly."

Longtail for his part didn't answer Blueberry...Longtail it seemed was in a trance like state. His eyes were unfocused, his breathing was shallow, and honestly he couldn't form a sentence even if he wanted to...the most unique thing was his eyes...they were the same color as the lighting bolt.

Mim smiles, "We could forbid them to come. Tell their parents, but they would likely just slip away when their parents were not looking like they have before." She said still smiling at some of the things she had heard some of the kids have done in the past. "So it may be better if they are determined to go that we go along to help ensure their safety. and it is safer to travel in numbers then in just a few 2 or 3." Mim said.

"What is that?" Shera asked looking up at the think in the sky.

"I've never seen, nor heard of anything like that before." Mim said looking from Cyrix to Shera then back to Cyrix. "If we are going to travel together, maybe we should go and talk to the kids to see what their plans are before we set out." She said.

Zaine took a step forward towards the purple light. "I don't understand. I've never seen this before, but somehow I feel connected with it. It's like... it's drawing me close to it. Why it is I don't know." He looked at the others. "I think it's obvious. We have to go to the Mysterious Beyond and find out what that was."

Cyrix nodded in agreement and said "Yes, that sounds like the most advisable course of action."

Longtail finally blinked and his eyes returned to normal and as he turned to Zaine he said "Wow....I...I think you're right Zaine...we need to go see what that is, but...I don't know...I don't feel right....I can't explain it."
