Mim led the others along. They paused when they saw a figure laying against a tree. They could see it was Cyrix.

"What do you suggest we do?" Diver whispered to Mim.

"We can try to wake him. He may be willing to help." Mim said.

"Ok, lets try, but not to loudly." Mia said.

Mim carefully and slowly walked up to Cyrix. "Cyrix?" she said touching him lightly on the shoulder.

As Longtail approached, a few things began to flash through Zaine's mind. He either wants to kill us or turn us. Either way, it can't be good. Well I'm not going to let him do either to any of us. Zaine was the first to move, but instead of thinking of a strategy, he charged right for Longtail. "You've left us no choice Longtail! You asked for it!" With that, he body slamed tight towards Longtail.

Cyrix felt the tap on his shoulder and slowly opened his eyes...hoping against hope that it would be longtail with that same childish smile on his face, but he was just as happy to see Mim looking down upon him. He sighed and replied "Hello Mim...are you alright, the storm seemed to have stopped for the moment." He then shed a tear as he stood up and asked "Do you know where Longtail is...I can't seem to find him."

Back on the field, Littlefoot opened his eyes.
He looked out over the valley.
It was still a bit dark, and the wind was still blowing quite hard, leaves and dust was carried around in it, but the storm had lose in power.
Gently, he pushed Chomper.
"Hey, Chomper... It seems better now. We should find the others, I don't see them anywhere...? I can't see anyone...?"

Suddenly, a large dinosaur, black and white in coloration, thundered down and stood between the long-tailed flyer and the group of five dinosaurs. It rose its head up and stared at the charging flyer, showing no signs of intending on moving out of the way. Then the dinosaur, not taking its eyes off the flyer, reared up onto its hind legs. It stretched out its long neck and let out a loud bellow, revealing its teeth and swinging its tail from side to side.

Longtail saw the newcomer and immediately stopped his charge. He stood still for a moment sizing up the newcomer, and still bared his teeth as he said "Who are you, and why do you dare interfere in my fight?"

Blueberry gasped, and quickly ran forward and started to pull Zaine away from the battle and the new dinosaur. He ducked as its tail came flying troufgh the air aboce him.
"C'mon, Zaine! Watch it! Get out of the way!"
Who is this...? I have never seen him before! Hope he's on our side... and that he doesn't hurt Longtail!

The dinosaur responded with a soft growling voice. "My name is Ateo." The voice was masculine, revealing the plateosaurus to be male. "And why did I interrupt your little fight? Because I will not allow someone like you harm innocents like them." He lowered his head and brandished the large thumb claws that grew from his front paws. "I'll warn you only once. Stand down..."

Longtail gave Ateo a dark, and long drawn out smile and then a horridly dark laugh as he said "My so called friends behind you...thought they could take me...what makes you think you even stand a chance. I'll bring you down...and then...I'll finish my fight with them." using his tail to point to Zaine, Blueberry, Argya, Vylor, and Ecco.

Now it was Ateo's turn to smile. "Do not make me laugh, flyer! How could someone as puny as you stand a chance against a much larger opponent? I could crush you if I wanted to!" Ateo found it very humorous that the flyer thought that he could win this fight. Oh well, at least he can say that he did warn him. "You want to shed some blood? Fine. You can try shedding mine...if you have the courage to try, smallfry."

Longtail's face contorted in anger and rage as he spat on the ground and shouted "How dare you! You stupid elder, I WILL kill you, and bath in your blood, no matter how hard you fight....I...WILL...WIN!!!" And again with that same sadistic and insane laugh Longtail charged towards Ateo at full speed and jumped into the air, aiming for his neck.

Ateo remained where he stood, unfazed by Longtail's threatening promise. He watched as the flyer drew closer and closer to him. He waited until the last second, and then he immediately moved to the side, allowing Longtail to sail past him. As soon as the flyer's long tail was in side, Ateo immediately clamped his jaws onto the tail, yanking Longtail to one side. He then proceeded to slam the flyer into the ground, pressing one of his paws onto the flyer, using enough of his weight to try and pin the flyer down.

Blueberry widened his eyes as the tail once again came flying trough the air against him. With a scream he dived to the ground. He looked up and just managed to see a giant jaw clamp 'round Longtail's tail.

The pair heard Ruby's warning, and split, Spiral about-facing and shooting the other way since he was further behind, and Kariya boosting forwards in an attempt to outrun the falling tree. The tree slammed into the ground between them...

Spiral picked himself up from the far side of the tree, sporting several cuts from flying wood chips on his left side, back and tail. I'll deal with this later. he thought. Is it just me, or does this storm seem to have calmed a bit?

Kariya was somewhat luckier, having sprinted ahead of the tree before it fell. The impact had still knocked her off her feet, but she didn't get a bunch of flying wood splinters in her backside like her brother. Realizing what happened, she called out,"Spiral! Are you okay?"

A response greeted her from the other side of the tree. "I'm fine. Give me a minute, and I'll be over." Sure enough, a short time later Spiral came around the tree.

"I'd hardly call that fine, Spiral," Kariya said upon seeing his state. "You could've gotten yourself killed!"

"Well, I'm still here. Where were we?" Spiral asked.

"...Right," Kariya replied, and the pair began moving off towards Ruby, Spiral moving a bit slower due to a cut on his left leg. While not really all that serious, the cuts still did hurt. This is really starting to tick me off... Spiral thought as he continued on.

Ecco was indeed surprised from what he saw. He knew that the newcomer would be strong. But that strong and fast? I hope he will beat Longtail, Ecco thought to hisself

Ruby saw that Spiral had problems with walking because of the injury. Oh no, that¥s not good. So she walked out to him and packed him with one arm around the haunch and laid one hand from him around her own neck. So it should be a bit easier for you, Ruby said and walked with Spiral over to the cave.
