Diver looked at the aircraft puzzled by what Frank meant. "You mean by dropping a rock on their heads, or other things? I've seen some flyers do that when they help the grown ups make different types of sharpteeth leave the Great Valley." She said.

The silence only gave Longtail time to think, and before he could stop himself, he said aloud:
"I remember...the first time I had....to kill. I was protecting myself of course, but...it got...messy. I still can't get the images out of my head. It was horrible."

Cyrix simply reached down and hugged Longtail hoping to get him to clam down.

"Yeah I know the feeling, most of the memories I have are ones that I wish I could just forget but they're so terrible I can't forget them, but I won't share them as most of them are too graphic and I just would't want you kids to hear about them until you're older,' frank said.

Longtail stared at Frank with an sympathetic eye and nodded his head in silence.

Cyrix however stated.
"Thank you Frank, my nephew has a hard time dealing with this particular problem...perhaps when the chance presents itself you two should...talk." he suggested to Frank

"Well Mr. Hammond" Pete said with a smile, that's part of what we're here for, is to help with the stressful times; right Uncle Henry?" he asked.

Henry smiled, "Much as we can, yes".

"Like the time I thought the grown-ups had lost their mind or something was in the water when they were singing about how great Cera was for chasing off Bellydraggers" Cory chuckled.

When the threehorn shot him a look, he tried to fix what he said, "Not the...part where you were a hero so much...as...the part where I thought the grown-ups had lost it" he explained. Kit knew he was half lying and the part about Cera being an unbeatable hero had been kinda funny to him. She hid her smile.

"I think it was nice Cera got some attention" she said, "Uh...no offense Littlefoot, but you do get to come up with the plan most time".

Dennis smiled a bit, he was starting to like the kids and that wasn't a good he thought...oh well, he knew him and the ones he worked with wouldn't hurt them, they just needed some samples of blood or something and...

"Hey Frank" Dennis turned to the security officer, "I should probably do a test to make sure the non-flyers can handle that height don't ya think? Just a simple blood test?".

At trying to figure out what a blood-test could be, Cory frowned and seemed to lose some color.

"i-it's nothing like an attack or anything" Dennis quickly reassured, "just...like hitting a pointy stick that's annoying".

Longtail sighed and said, "A blood test still sounds like it could hurt. I for one don't like pointy sticks anywhere near me."

Cyrix had to agree there and replied.
"Well I'm sure Dennis and Frank have done it many times before or else they wouldn't be talking as if it were easy now would they?"

Longtail blinked in surprise and looked to Dennis.
"Is it really that easy to do this 'blood test'? he asked.

Hammond smiled as he downed the last of his coffee and said, "And I'm glad I did my homework on the people who'd be working with me. You two, Frank and Dennis are some of the best minds to help me run this place...although I feel it's time we got back to trying to round up that T-rex."

"That would be good,' frank said to cryix before turning tothe security officer "It would be a good idea to do a blood test first,' frank said. "Longtail a blood test doesn't really hurt that much it only hurts initally,' frank said to longtail.

"Right" Dennis nodded, backing up what Frank said, "It only hurts initially, and even then not much" he added, seeing the little Corythosaurus about to flinch.

"Here, I'll even prove it on whatever brave soul feel up to going first" Dennis added, upping the challenge a bit to get a response, which he got. "Well I'm not afraid of anything!" Cera declared, striding forward.

Triceratops…yes that would do nicely, Dennis thought. As he knelt to deal with Cera, he conspicuously pulled two vials he happened to have with him yet kept one hidden within his palm as he stuck Cera and drew some blood into each, slipping the second vial away and standing with the one.

"And there it is!" Dennis declared, showing them. Kit flinched and frowned, "Y-yeah I've seen that stuff when folks are attacked, but...why is it a good thing" she wondered.

"'cause, it'll tell us if you're sick or not" Dennis told one reason, "and we can see if you could stand being up there and all, like I said".

"It tells all that?!" Cera asked. "With proper machinery, yeah". Dennis was about to point out how it was even such simple stuff like this that allowed them to bring the dinosaurs back to even be talking to them now…but he felt that might be saying too much given his current plan.

Longtail looked surprised at how little it hurt and even more so at how much could be learned from the blood test. He then stepped forward and said "I'm next! I'm not going to let Cera out do me!"

Cyrix laughed at his nephews courage.
"This will be fun to see." he said waiting to see Longtail's reaction to being poked with the needle.

"Hehe, yeah" Dennis answered with a smile, "we humans give blood sometimes too, so trust me if anyone knows how to only take a little, plus you replenish it" he added.

"Re-what?" Kit asked. "Uh, like regrow it" Dennis said.

Cera, who had been the one to feel the prick but take it like a threehorn and like her dad would have wanted her to, hid a smirk as Longtail stepped forward.

"Well if you inisist" Dennis said, pulling the same vial trick as before with two and one handed over to Frank. He turned back to see how his 'patient' had done after the jab.

Longtail was stiff, and his eyes wide as if he'd seen a ghost...or if he'd woken up after a bad sleep story.

Cyrix noticing this change in his nephew stepped forward and called his name.
"Longtail? Longtail, are you alright?!" he was now starting to worry.

Longtail for the moment was indeed having a flash back to the scar on his neck and how he'd come here in the first place. His tail instinctively moved over the old wound and it shocked him into moving again.

Longtail then shouted in a startled voice, "That's it! That's what I felt hit me in my neck during the storm that brought me here! Some one shot me with one of those things...or something like it and it made me sleep!"
