The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Rhamphy looked at Littlefoot and said with a laugh - "Well, if Trod can spend a time with Sharpteeth, then it is sure that your friend Ali can."

Trod looked at him with a bit of a simulated offended look - "Well, at least I have a sense of self-preservation, so you cannot blame me to try to be cautious."

Rhamphy knows that Trod is not really offended, so he laughed at kept on walking.

"Yeah, I'm sure Ali would be fine with it once she met you guys" Cory said, "...but uh...we might want to have her met Chomper first...no offenses Mr. Chomper's dad but you can be inter-timid-ing...or whatever it is the grown-ups say".

"Having her meet Chomper instead of a large sharptooth, first may be better indeed." Littlefoot said.  "Small steps first before running I heard my grandparents say before."

"That's smart thing for them to say" Dein said to Littlefoot. Then he realized that young longneck was always talking about his grandparents, but he never mentioned his mother or father "And what about your parents? Are they equally wise?" he asked.

Littlefoot got a sad look on his face.  "She isn't around anymore.  A sharptooth got her.  Though we took care of him later on when he cam after us after the long fall had just knocked him out." Littlefoot said.

"It was very scary, yep, yep, yep." Ducky said.

Trod looked at Littlefoot with a shock - "Ohh, I-I didn't know that, I'm sorry."

"I am sorry too Littlefoot, but if you can remember everything she taught you, then she'll live in you." - Rhamphy said with a calm voice.

"That is true..." - Trod added. - "... and you still have your grandparents, and your friends!, so you are far to be alone."

"It's ok.  No way you could have known." Littlefoot said.

Littlefoot nodded slowly and a bit sadly.  "Rooter said something like that." Littlefoot said.   He sighed a bit then  nodded a bit happier, "yes, at leas i have my grandparents and my friends including all you guys." he said looking around.

"That is true, yep, yep, yep." Ducky said.

"and...although I wasn't there at the time, I know it wasn't a revenge thingy, them...uh you know...taking care of the big Sharptooth, it was self defense since he kept chasing them".

Kit frowned as a question made itself known to her. "I have always wondered, and I guess now's a good time and company to ask" she said with a smile to Chomper and his parents, "is that...well...do you guys view that as ok? Chasing kids I mean, or is it kinda frowned on by other sharpteeth? I'm not gonna get mad if it is, I was just curious" the little flyer asked.

"I am sorry for bringing you back sad memories, Littlefoot. It wasn't my intent.
Dein said honestly "I don't know her, but I think that wherever your mother is, she's happy for you are living. I know I would be, if I were put in her position" he added glancing at his son.

He turned to Kit, thinking over right answer to her question.

"It is just a waste of energy for such a small meal." he said bluntly "If you expect me to say if it was either bad or good, then you can keep asking forever and I won't say anything at all."

Littlefoot nods a bit sadly, but not as sad as before, "It is true, I'm sure she is happy.  & she helped guide me to the Great Valley." Littlefoot said.

Trod nodded and said with a smile. - "I am very happy that you are keeping the spirit up. I think it is safe to say that we all need it." - He said, remembering the sad events he has to live through.

Rhamphy stood up from walking on all four limbs and began walking on his two legs while flapping his wings. - "Well, I think my wounds healed enough, so if the need arises I can do some scouting, with any of the other Flyers on our group that would like to scout ahead."

"Don't fly to far or to fast." Ducky said to Rhamphy.

"Yes, best to be safe till you are sure if you are fully healed or not."  Littlefoot said.

Terri however had her own opinions on Kits question.
"My personal view on it however despite my mates blunt answer, I feel it is wrong and I  will never partake in it. Of that you can be sure." she said with a grin on her face as she turned to face Dein.

Longtail smiled.
"Well that's good news for me. I had to admit I was a little worried there for a while about what might happen if we didn't find any food."

Cyrix cleared his throat.
"I apologize for my nephews outburst, he can be rather blunt at times and forgets his manners." Cyrix then cast a glare at Longtail hoping the young flyer would understand.

Kit had to admit, Chomper's mother's reply reassured her a bit too, not in a personal fear way or anything but just...she knew to have probably expected Chomper's dad's response.

She smiled, "Ok, well I didn't want to start a fight or anything" she said, hoping this wouldn't start an argument between Chomper's parents, "but thanks".

Petrie frowned, wanting to help scout ahead but...too scared really of the big water to move.

"I'll help too!" Twiz spoke up, flapping up to where Rhampy was, "that was between the both of us maybe none of us have to get too tired".

"Neither will I. As long as there are better alternatives, I don't think I will ever get so hungry or desperate to hunt something that can be considered barely a snack." Dein said "A sharpteeth like me or my mate here, tend to eat a lot, so even if you weren't Chomper's friends, I would probably not be tempted to chase after you." he added, looking mainly at Ducky, Kit and Petrie, who were the smallest in the group.

"Maybe if more then 1 goes you can also watch out for each other and may see something the other may miss." Littlefoot said.

Ducky was a little happier with what Chomper's parents had said.  "Maybe if large enough water is found you can eat some fish like my sister says some fastbiters she knows does." Ducky said remembering her sister's story, or the bits she had told.

Rhamphy looked at Twiz and smiled - "You are right Twiz and let's show them why we Flyers can be the best scouts." - after that he flapped his wings and raised to the heavens, only to be stopped by Trod, who placed his hands on the Flyer's shoulders.

"Remember Rhamphy, just do some quick recon until we make sure you are fully healed, ok?."

"Don't worry, I bet Twiz will keep me out of problems." - Rhamphy winked, and then he began flying once Trod released him. - "Come on Twiz." - He waited for Twiz to reach him before flying ahead of the group.

Twiz laughed and flapped up to where Rhampy was, "Yeah, I'll keep him out of trouble" he told the others, even if he wasn't sure how hard of a task that would be.

"Uh...hehe, that good" Petrie answered with a hesitant smile at Dein's words.

Trod looked back at Ducky and replied - "I hope so too, because until I can find my mother and sister's herd, then Rhamphy is my only family."

Rhamphy waited for Twiz, and when he was next to him, he said - "So, any idea for a recon plan? Because I think we can try a fast past flying high and then a lower flight in our way back."
